Halos Heaven

What Angels merch do you all own?

We've had our obligatory post about how we all became Angels fans. Now, it's time to hear what we all wear and/or own to prove that fanship.

Star-divide

For me:

  • Alternate red jersey (blank)
  • Negro Leagues-style red jersey w/ blue sleeves (Kendrys Morales, #8)
  • Game-used Maicer Izturis spring training jersey from 2008 (rockin' the old school #6)
  • One-size-fits-all red hat w/ gold halo
  • 1980 retro hat
  • Miniature red Angels Louisville Slugger w/ miniature logo baseball
  • Angels chips-and-salsa platter
  • Rally monkey soap dispenser
  • 50th anniversary T-shirt
  • 50th anniversary fleece blanket
  • Countless souvenir cups
  • A bunch of other crap I can't remember

And while not merchandise...some autographed things:

  • Game ticket from my birthday in 2005 (Tim Salmon)
  • ALDS Game 2 ticket from 2005 (Paul Byrd and Bengie Molina)
  • Fitted red Authentic hat (Chone Figgins)
  • Authentic Bobby Grich Louisville Slugger from 1973 (signed, of course, by the Grich himself. A class act, might I add.)

In addition, I have a $50 gift card to Fanzz that I want to use on another hat and/or shirt. If a hat, I'm thinking either 1971 retro or the patriotic edition. If a shirt, gonna look for Pujols, Wilson or Bourjos.

How about you all?

birthday, if i remember correctly

Still pretty awesome.

Interesting fact about Esteban Yan: He debuted in 1998, but didn’t have his first at-bat until 2000, in which he promptly unloaded a home run.

I have a jersey, some random shit, and some other shit.

Favorites are my Jim Abbot tshirt and Halos Heaven crap. Oh, and a shitload of hats.

I've got a bunch of stuff like the rest of you

patches, trading cards, t-shirts, etc. However, the two most important pieces of Angels memorabilia are kept at work:
(1) an Angel chalkboard hung over my desk that has permanently written on it the two most important times of the day- lunchtime and quittin’ time
(2) a signed Scioscia bobblehead that gives me an answer to every important question that comes up, which is either ‘yes’ or ‘no’, depending on how I feel like interpreting the head motion of “The Great One”’.

OMG.. I am NOT going to do an inventory

But I can give you a clue as to how much crap I have:

a 6 drawer dresser filled with Angels tshirts.

1 home jersey, game worn, Brendan Donnelly
1 no name home VEST jersey
4 more different home jerseys with different names on back (Soliz, Hensley, Anderson, Salmon)
1 blank back RED alternate jersey
I don’t know or want to count how many hats I have.
every give away including kids stuff since 2003
a crapload of different coffee cups/ thermal cups
Clubhouse locker nameplates – yes, the ones placed over each player’s locker in the clubhouse!! These are from the yard sales..
Press guides from every year from 1996-2011, which are all the years I have lived here in SoCal and attended games
mini stadium figure— this is a small version of the stadium and shows people in the stands and stuff and is molded on a granite base..
way too many autographed items and pictures…

Oh crap, I know I forgot a bunch, but this is off the top of my head..
And I have a bunch of stuff from the Angels minor league teams from when I have gone out to see the Quakes/66ers, Bees and Travs..

Brenden Donnelly used to sweat profusely when he pitched

Remember when he got called out for using vaseline and he claimed he used it because of his problem with sweating? He still got suspended for a couple of games. Just thinking about him and a game-worn jersey is all.

Impressive list of stuff. I’m coveting the clubhouse locker nameplates.

I have two of

Jordan Walden’s.. one from the last part of 2010 when he got called up, and the one from Spring Training 2011 with the 50th logo. And I have one of Donnelly’s too. I’m working on getting more this year when they do the garage sale again.. I know which ones I want, and no, Trout isn’t one of them..

LOL.. which reminds me

I also have Brendan’s goggles that he wore while pitching for the Angels. Got them from him when he threw out the first pitch last year just before my birthday..

I'm thinking you've got a thing for Donnelly

Me, I’m more of a Glaus or Salmon woman (I’m just havin’ fun with ya!)

How expensive are these things that are sold at the garage sales? How affordable is this stuff?

the nameplates??

Depends on when they are from..

the one of Walden’s from 2010 was $15, but the one from spring training was $50.. they came autographed and with the MLB authentication.

That is so affordable!

I’m gonna have to attend the next one (so I can accumualte more stuff I don’t need!).

DUH...her public lust for Donkey is well documented
Didn't know that

Duly noted!

Too many to list, but the main ones:

+ Framed panoramic picture of '02 WS Game 6

oh and several 6-pack coolers

refrigerator magnets.

Made me think of the Mo Vaughn refrigerator magnet I have

lol Mo Vaughn

When the Angels first signed him my good friend was so excited he went and bought a Mo Vaughn Angels pennant titled “A New Mo-lennium”. It was so cheesy! Whenever Mo Vaughn gets mentioned I always think about that pennant and laugh.

Just listing the jerseys

One from the 80’s that just says Angels on it, no number or player name
Downing #5
Guerrero #27
Hunter #48

Hat's and trading cards galore

I’ve got an awesome pair of slippers that keep the toes toasty up here in the Great White North.

I got one of those stamp/letter things from the post office with the ’02 series team on it. Bought this mainly cause it was bizarre to see it on display at an post office in Y@nkee territory.

Finley and Joyner Starting Line-up figurines which remind me of high school.

Saving up for a Pujols jersey.

Lots

-Many shirts(2 hunter, weaver, haren, pujols, wells, morales, abreu, kotchman, kazmir)
-3 jerseys(home weaver all star game patch, blank red alternate, blank home)
- bobbleheads and posters all over
-Sweatshirt and warm up pull over
-About 10 hats including one a bought yesterday( black on black 90s CA logo)
-And so much more stuff

Oh I almost forgot

Used to have a lackey shirt that was lost in a fire. That I started purposefully.

We all have a ridiculous amount of Angels stuff.

- Road Salmon jersey circa Disney days

Hats (probably forgetting some)

- DiSarcina ball
- Salmon ball
- Picture of me and Salmon at a baseball camp at El Dorado autographed when I was 9 or so

- Troy Glaus ball
- Shawn Wooten bat and ball

A large framed picture of Angel Stadium on the wall.
Ticket stubs from Gms 1 and 2 of 02 ALDS and 1, 2, 6 and 7 of 02 WS
Plus a ridiculous amount of stubs from regular season games.

My brain hurts and I dont’ want to think about anymore..
On a side note, the M’s and Angels game I went to in Seattle last year they gave away Franklin Gutierrez flyswatters and I grabbed one of those, not gonna lie its pretty rad (apart from being from the Mariners).

[Looking around the room as I write...]

On the wall in front of me and to my left:

° up high, one each of the hats from the Owlz, Kernels, 66ers, Travelers and Bees
° Past years gifts from the wife of a photo of the 2004 team, a shot of the stadium from high behind home plate, and the recent addition of the autographed Ryan photo.

Then, up above and to my right:

° One each of the 9/11 hats (except the very first one, in blue)
° Another gift from the wife, the personalize photo with “my” jersey hanging in the locker room among those from Lackey, Guerrero and Figgins (and now none of us play for the team)

On the wall to my right:

° One each of every Angels cap style, including a real 1962 LA Angels hat, all three iterations of the Disney-era caps, the gold-halo 50th hat from last year and both versions of the BP cap from recent times
° All four of the McFarlane models (“they’re action figures!”, stated the 40 year old virgin): Ryan, Glaus, Hunter and GA
° A treasure I had tucked into a storage box and forgotten about: A stadium giveaway from the 25th anniversary, a plastic home-plate-shaped tray sponsored by Oscar Meyer, bearing the names of all the Owner’s Trophy winners to date

Living on the wrong coast, as I do, I need to make my shrine to the team in this room, which also houses the HDTV connected to the Mac mini, on which I watch my MLB.tv coverage (when not doing so downstairs on the HDTV connected to the Apple TV). Mrs Kaplan is very accommodating on this matter.

In addition to shirts, T-shirts, sweat shirts, caps, and such,

I also have dinner plates, soup bowls and serving bowls

I'm the guy that bought the green Angels hoodie

I have 5 hoodies
the Scrum shirt with the lower case a.
one hat, thinking of getting the blacked out one
Headphones
Peter Borjous autographed baseball
One very used baseball bat from an eighties giveaway with Wally Joyner and Brian Downing Jr. sig burned into it.

Also, I seriously on wear red because of the angels. Way to fair skinned for that color.

And the 2002 World Series Champion beerstein

I bought at the Hall of Fame.

Let's see if I can come up with everything:

Home Torii Hunter replica
Home Rod Carew throwback replica
Home Bobby Grich throwback authentic
Road Jered Weaver authentic
Red Twins Enterprise modern day cap
Red & Blue Twins Enterprise modern day cap
Blue Twins Enterprise California Angels 90’s cap
Red & Blue Twins Enterprise Los Angeles Angels 60’s cap
Authentic lower case a w/ halo cap
2 red hoodies
Mike Napoli red t-shirt jersey
Gray t-shirt
Blue t-shirt
Gray vintage t-shirt
Rally monkey
Angels pitcher (beverages)
90’s CA logo baseball
A plethora of baseball cards
10/20/86 issue of SI w/ Grich and DiCinces on cover
Bob Grich signature lefty baseball glove
Napoli, Grich, and Lackey bobbleheads
Angels mini batting helmet from DQ

I don’t think I can count all the stuff I’ve purchased for my sister and ex-girlfriends over the years…

Forgot the red mesh bp jersey

and blue/red bp mesh cap

I can't name all the stuff,

mostly the usual stuff like Napoli bobble heads and the garden gnome, various t-shirts (Reggie Willets!) and lap robes.

I think one of the coolest things we have are the Angels luggage tags. Makes it really easy to spot our bags at the airport.
