DOV can call in while he is driving in traffic

so all his comments can be sprinkled with “potty mouth expletives” concerning the traffic as if he has Tourettes.

And the drive from SF to Sacto on the 80 (some mindless place between Vacaville and Davis that I can’t recall) comes to a point where the voluntarily-only-driving-50mph traffic comes to a complete stop because the road slightly curves.

I've been in all but 2 of the 50 states

and I think the worst traffic is in the Seattle area. Water, water everywhere so no way to widen and add more lanes. And if you are on a bridge and there is an accident (and there always is), forget about it.

stupidest drivers are san francisco

We were on vacation up there a year or two ago and we saw 2 cars at 2 different places park in the second lane of traffic and run into a store. pure insanity there.

Tourist are the worst

as a delivery driver to the city some days
i park where ever i can even in a one way ally and hope that no one comes the other way

Agree about the all star game counts.

An exhibition game to decide something so crucial is kind of ridiculous.

I'm an apologist for the all star game rule.

I like it.
Using best record still has holes because there will be teams in weaker divisions that pad the overall win count.
It makes the all star game fun and relevant for me.

I do not like the new 1 game playoff thing however.

True, best record may not be 100% fair.

But it’s just as fair as the play off berths as they stand.

You can argue that the all star game in 2011 decided the winner of the 2011 world seires. That just seems wrong. It would be just as fair for it to have been decided by a wet T-shirt contest between Prince Fielder and CC Sabathia.

That it made the all star game meaningful and gave people a reason to watch it. But there is a reason nobody wanted to watch it, it’s a meaningless exhibition game that has no bearing on the realities of the baseball season. You could be the best team in baseball and lose the world championship because in one game the most popular players in your league lost to the most popular players in the other league.

Like I said just seems wrong.

But play offs are at least a series of games. If you get unlucky you got unlucky more than once.

as far as being decided by skill, the point is it has nothing to do with the skill of the teams competing. it has to do with the skill of the people that won the popularity contest that year at their position.

Before the all star game decided the home team, it used to be the AL had home field every other year.
I don’t think I could be convinced we win the `02 world series if we did not have game 6 at home.
That’s what I mean by luck.

No matter how the players are decided, they have to play and win. Better to me than just odd/even years.
Again, I’m an apologist for the all star game thing – I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority on the subject :)

Idk if anyone heard but on AM830 at 4:00 their is a show with Terry Smith and their will be an interview with Dipoto and Kendrick.

Dipoto also said during the press conference for Kendrick that there is still no time table for Kendrick that they have set (specific date). He said he plans on inspecting a workout he was having today with baseball specific workouts.
