I was happy Rev updated us all on Halowood. Made my weekend that was full of kind of strange happenings. Last night, in fact, a burly white older chick got kicked out of a bar I was at. No big deal right? Well its a big deal when she got kicked out because she literally tried to start a fight with me because I have a mohawk, then when I ignored her she told me she was not only going to fight be but murder me. A circle formed. The movie bloodsport flashed into memory.... but except for that beefy (mmmm beef) asian guy who Jean Claude fought it was a mid 50s fake blonde with a tramp stamp.
I definitely would have lost. She was built like a line backer, drank like a sailor and smelled like a free clinic. Im glad the bouncers stepped in an "escorted" her out. I am getting too old for this nonsense.

of me and my Angels Fandom:
I have been here since the beginning. I was part of the Rev’s original blog, which is where I met Leigh (Missus Rev Halofan) and the Rev for the first time. I think I’m registered fan #12 or so, but that is total on SB Nation, so I don’t know where I am HERE. I am also the “Social Media Director” for HH, and do the facebook and twitter stuff since October, I think.

ok, here's my spiel (DISCLAIMER: I've been drinking all day)
I wasn’t thinking this epic battle was one of fanhood comparisons, so if that is the case then I’ll surely lose to Ms. Melt as she seems to be at that level of fandom that I hope to one day achieve. However, that doesn’t mean I’m going down without a fight.
To me the Halos are in my blood. My grandparents moved here from Detroit in 1960 and settled in to a charming little house just a few short miles from what would later become Angel Stadium. The majority of memories I have of my grandfather are of him sitting in his garage drinking Budweiser and watching Angels games. He passed away in 2001, and all too often I can’t help but think about how close he came to seeing his team win it all. The team that staked a claim in the same town he had chosen for his family just a couple years prior. This is the foundation for the love I have and pleasure i get from being in the stadium or watching games on TV while sipping on a cold beer.
I love Halos Heaven. I don’t contribute on the level many others do. I’m no stat-head or minor league scout, and I have no clue what is going on in the Japanese league. I come here to learn about the team I love. I’ve learned more about this team, and baseball in general, in the couple years I’ve been on here than I had in the 28 years of following the Halos on my own. For that, I thank you all.
If you’ve read any of my comments then you’re fully aware that I’m a smart ass. I’m sarcastic. I take pretty much nothing seriously. I’ve heckled Mike Piazza and Nick Swisher about their long hair from a dugout suite. Although they ultimately had the last laugh as Piazza hit a 9th inning go ahead HR off of KRod (prompting him to stare me down after crossing home plate) and Swisher later donated his hair to a cancer patient (didn’t I feel like an asshole after hearing that?). I snuck into the diamond club and sat 2nd row behind home plate to cheer on Tim Salmon during one of his last career at-bats. Thanks to a friend, I’ve had BP, fielded and played flag football on the field. With every comment I make I add to the humiliation I’m sure that tool from AN feels every time he trolls over here to see if I’ve changed my sig. little does he know, I will never change it. EVER. His douchebaggery will live on through me, forever.
There’s not a day that goes by where i don’t literally laugh out loud from something I read on here. If I don’t win this round it may sting for a half-second, but I’m just happy that this whole silly thing is going on. What an offseason for us Halos faithful. I don’t think I’ve ever been near as giddy as I am for this season to start as I am right now, and I have no doubt the rest of you are feeling the same. Im just glad we can all share it together, here, on the best Halos blog in all of the Internetz.

Same story here regarding your grandfather (mine passed in 95). He would sit in the garage smoke a cigar and drink Budweiser while listening on the radio. 2002 was a huge moment for our family – we all partied in the tortilla factory parking lot and smoked cigars in his memory after game 7.

Old school surf spot in Huntington Beach. 2pints will know what I’m talking about. The Taco Bell had a lot of sentimental value to me, as I’m sure it does for him as well. I was on the surf team in high school and it was often our meeting spot.

My dad’s company did a lot of work on Main Street. They built the 24 hour fitness and a handful of other things in 89/90(?). His office was upstairs above a bathing suit store (can’t remember the name) directly across the street from Perks. I had a city permit to paint the sea walls that summer. I surfed in the morning, (competed in NSSA) worked on Main Street, or painted the walls during the day.

in bringing it into the scene. An old room mate of mine and board shaper Larry Myers’ kid did well in NSSA, he is about 18 or 19 now I think. I surfed high school surf team in the “single fin” days, thrusters came out after I graduated.

My buddies dad (Scott Gragham) was a judge and did a lot of work with them. Me and my buddy would set up all the contest and do overnight security. That’s mostly why I was able to surf in some of their contests…It wasn’t because I was that good. lol

I simply can’t put forth the effort full-time anymore. House is constantly f’d up because it’s “basecamp” for every single person we know before, during and after their drunken adventures; nobody ever cleans or owns up to anything; one roommate constantly brings back, psychotic, annoying and emotionally-damaged chicks to ruin what little peace and quite we have. I just can’t do it anymore. I like drunken adventures, but I think I want to go to them when I want from now on, not have them come to me 24/7.
That’s why I’m moving into what I’m pretty sure is an old pirate fortress on the hill.

That's what I said the other day, during the Turk/Highland vote.
I noticed on both my computer and my phone that the totals would go up and down with each hit of “refresh”, and then eventually would settle. Wasn’t sure what that meant, but I mentioned that it probably pointed to a weird tick in the polling system, rather than trickery.

It'll be made, but when and if it'll be a sequel or prequel seems to change every year.
Last I heard, it was going to be a sequel.
They also have said they have at least two movies to do before they can tackle ST2 or Potfest.
I think they’ll try and get out their creative ideas before they go for the sure fire crowd pleasers.
