Final score in Anaheim: Angels 4, Oakland 2
Hey, look who decided to show up tonight against the A's...the numbers three, four, five, and six hitters in the Angels batting order, the Angels defense, and Fernando Rodney. Abreu, Hunter, Napoli, and Matsui each had two hits apiece, while driving in 3 of the Angels four runs. Also showing up were defensive gems from Brandon Wood and Peter Bourjos. Wood made a nice play on a grounder to his left that took a freaky hop just as he dove, yet Wood grabbed it and tossed it to get the out. In the fourth inning, Bourjos stole a home run off the bat of Landon Powell in straight-away center field.
And then there was Rodney. Having been impressed by Britney Spears night on Glee, Rodney was doing his version of "Hit Me Baby One More Time" while everyone else was thinking "(You Drive Me) Crazy". You know the medley where he gets a couple quick outs and then forgets how to get that third one? Fortunately Daric Barton is a Britney fan too, as he ended the game with a weak flyball to left while humming "Opps!...I Did It Again"
Dan Haren was impressive again allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 in earning his fourth Halo win and improving his record to 4-4.

I'll say it again
Defensive sub FTW!
Reggie should get a partial save for that catch

3Wood gets some love tonight.
Not Panther, but well done.
Flashed the leather.
Showed some good hustle, forcing that error at 1B, which led to the insurance run.

5 Ks
puts him 1 back of halladay in 5th in the MLB. I doubt he breaks the top 5 before season end, but 2 and 6 is not too bad

I'm impressed.........or at least I'm wondering.
I’ve never listened to a Britney Spears song in my life other than a brief video clip on TV. I’m assuming that the three songs WiHaloFan named were Spears’ tunes.
wumbug - September 29, 2010
You assume correctly.

I am probably the only one who ....
Washington opted to rest some of his regulars, giving third baseman Michael Young, shortstop Elvis Andrus, second baseman Ian Kinsler and designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero the night off.
