Mathis is not hitting and Naps does not satisfy Soth defensively. Doubt there is any other team in MLB that has carried 3 catchers all season. Wilson has not played nearly enough!
with 1 exception…Collapso has no business hitting in the 3 hole. I don’t have a better suggestion (on our current roster) other than Howie now that he has warmed up…
Seriously! I’m happy for the guy. He really seemed to be a good guy despite everyone’s whining about him…he was simply ONE of the guys who got us off to a shitty start that doomed this season. Frankly, I was trying to think of a single guy on the roster at the beginning of the season who you could NOT point fingers at for the shitty start. The only person who comes to mind is Wilson.
What a joke the closer role is. 3 freakin outs and the guy wonders why he would get booed…when you walk 2 and give up a dinger you deserve the boos. $9million for 3 outs is embarassing…especially when you’re carrying 3 closers. Short-arm-Fuentes will lead the Twinkies to the ALCS. Great….grand…..wonderful.
Yeah, it was “it was only against the Mariners,” but so far, I’m cautiously optimistic about Fuentes. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needed and we needed a BP arm, so it works out fine. BTW, the PTBNL is probably not Mauer. :)
