Dan Haren allowed 4 runs in 7 IP and that was more than enough as his teammates on offense left a combined 17 runners on base. The unclutch Los Angeles LOBsters of Anaheim fell back to 8.5 Games Behind the Dallas Cowgirls in the American League West. Mike Napoli hit a solo HR to keep it close but the many opportunities the Angels had with baserunners were quashed by Ricky Romero (earning his new $31 Million contract) while Haren was good but not perfect, allowing 9 hits and striking out 5. He lost gas int he So Cal heat and never refilled his tank this afternoon.
I love the Angels but they are just not that good... sad considering the mediocre cokeheads atop the division ...a very beatable bunch.

I agree. We do have some stupid players.
I think Aybar tops the list. He just doesn’t think about the situation when he hits. He swings at 1st pitches when we’re down late in a game. He tries to bunt with 2 outs when we’re down late in a game. He can’t figure out to read a pitcher and steal bases well. He’s just dumb. And he doesn’t have the natural ability to overlook the stupidity, like Vlad. That is why Aybar will probably never be a great lead-off hitter.
Figgy was smart on the Angels. He was constantly improving. He learned how to work the count. He studied pitchers’ moves to get good jumps. He learned how to hit to all fields. When pitchers seemed to figure him out, he’d adjust back. Right now, it appears that Aybar will always be stuck at the level he’s at.
Aybar leads the pack, but he’s certainly not the only dumby on the team. Who here thinks there’s a whole lot going on upstairs in Rivera’s head? Matsui? Napoli? Even Kendrick can’t figure out to adjust back after the league has adjusted to him this year. The saddest thing is, I think besides Hunter (aside from his idiotic stolen base attempts) and Abreu, the smartest hitter on our team is Willits.
Maybe this is the best reason to go after Crawford this off season, although I haven’t been on that bandwagon so far this year. We just plain need some smarter players.

Hopefully no one is actively looking for boobies on this page. That would truly be sad. Anyways, please, everyone, let this season go. This rollercoaster is not going to end this year. Halos win, gain 1 game, everyone posts we’re back in it, lose 1, everyone posts we’re out of it. This team is missing the one thing most of u new fans didn’t have to witness like us old timers in the 80’s and 90’s, heart. This team is dead inside. They aren’t the team from 20xx that could be down 5-2 in the 7th but you knew they were going to win. This is a team from 1988 w/cookie Rojas at the helm and a bunch of blah going on on the field. Sometimes it’s easier to let go, hurts less. I know I can’t remember squat from the periwinkle uni days.

Most Ranger fans have a lot of respect or the Angels. We may not like them, but we do respect them. Year in year out, they put up a contender. Were it not for you guys losing Morales, we’d have a close race right now…. Rev on the other hand, is a classless whiny child who does nothing but spew hate whenever the Halos lose. Nothing shows more class than making fun of a former drug addict who’s gotten their s&$t together and is now fullfilling his potential….
I know sucky seasons suck (believe me, a Ranger fan knows) but show a little class.
