Final Score in Anaheim: Mariners 2, Angels 3 ...

Howie Kendric went 3 for 4, one of those hits being the 500th of his career. No batting title yet. The difference in the game as a GIDP by Torii Hunter with runners on 1B and 3B. Not exactly Murderer's Row or anything, but Weave got the W with 5 Ks to boot so on a night when Bengie Molina hit for the cycle in Boston on behalf of the Cocaine Cowboys, Angels fans can just be amazed the the things that were supposed to happen actually happened.

Nashdiesel - July 16, 2010
pretty solid and quick game......
cant ask for much more than that………….3 runs against an “ace” for our ACE……..and a great job by the Pen.
norcaliangelsfan - July 16, 2010
Plus no Dad of Vlad posts
almost a perfect game
RexTookMyStash - July 16, 2010
and cath619 got to watch on her HDTV!!!!
Hugs all around.
sothball - July 16, 2010
awww, thanks
It’s really just a large, rigged monitor with (FINALLY) the right combination of cables and satellite receiver boxes and other stuff that I have spent way too much time and money on. You know, it’s not like I picked something up at Howard’s. ;)
Hugs to all!
cath619 - July 16, 2010
Did she go to Howards???
Yeah, I know, she’s east coast…

too drunk to post
DAD OF VLAD - July 17, 2010
Is that even possible?
If there was rule disallowing posting on HH if your BAC is over .08, this place would be emptier than the Oakland Coliseum.

What with
all the washed up Angels having super years with Texas. Next thing we know, the Angels decide not to resign Shields and he has an AS year with Texas.
phoenix15 - July 16, 2010
Did Bengie Molina seriously hit a stand-up triple
I think I saw him hit into a triple play once, and by the time they threw the ball to first he hadn’t shown up on the screen.
TheKingfish - July 16, 2010
Is it because it gets warm earlier there?
Right about now Texas usually turns into Hell and they fold pretty soon once it gets really hot.
opiejeanne - July 16, 2010
road game
against Boston’s AAA team
Rev Halofan - July 16, 2010
Heard
the ball bounced off the fielder’s glove leading to the triple. IMO it should’ve been a double and error on fielder.
phoenix15 - July 16, 2010
either way
Bengie hurt his quad when running the bases! could there be a DL stint in his future? ifs so, thats just as bad as Kendry’s accident…accept they JUST traded for him. lol!
2pintsofbooz - July 16, 2010
Although really
Losing Kendry is worse than losing Bengie
TheKingfish - July 17, 2010
of course
but its something to laugh about.
Im all about the small victories this season. perhaps they’ll all add up to a division crown…perhaps not.
2pintsofbooz - July 17, 2010
-1
but its something to laugh about.
Downing Rules - July 18, 2010
Damn
Can’t Boston play baseball right? Tomorrow, if im right, Cliff Lee vs. John Lackey. Who do you root for? This is probably one of the few times I actually want Lackey to win tomorrow.
phoenix15 - July 16, 2010
Horse face gets spanked early.
Boston comes from behind to win. Works for me.
sothball - July 16, 2010
heard
The Sox BP’s sucking right now.
phoenix15 - July 16, 2010
gave up 2 runs...
hardly could be considered “spanked”. Tonight was the first time I had rooted for Lackey this year.

4-0 on games I attend.
I’m taking free ticket donations haha.
deejayelleseven - July 16, 2010 via mobile
Small sample size
You’re basically the equivalent of Matt Palmer of yesteryear ;)
blast21dave - July 16, 2010
I have been to a lot of games since 2001,
and I’ve only seen one loss.
opiejeanne - July 16, 2010
I've only seen one loss as well
and I was sitting in diamond club VIP seats one way away from home plate, and it was to the Twins. Fail.
RexTookMyStash - July 16, 2010
one row away*
RexTookMyStash - July 16, 2010
That sucks.
The only other game I attended that the Angels lost was a post-season game against Boston. The weather was horrible, hot, dry, Santa Ana conditions, and GA had pink-eye. Miserable game.
opiejeanne - July 16, 2010
i meant mvp, not vip
I don’t want it to seem like i’m putting on airs :)
RexTookMyStash - July 17, 2010
YOu
opiejeanne - July 17, 2010
Reply fail.
You? Put on airs? Pshaw!
opiejeanne - July 17, 2010
I've seen 14 ... THIS YEAR
10 wins, too. 3 trips to get free chicken wings, as well.
Downing Rules - July 18, 2010
Any chance
the Angels get some starter better then Kazmir (and how he’s been pitching, it shouldn’t be that hard) sometime before his next start against the yanks? Why couldn’t Sosh put Kaz in against the Ms?
phoenix15 - July 16, 2010
He's gonna let him go 5 innings apparently
in New York
They’re trying to get him to focus on 5 and bust it all out there for those 5 innings
They’ve used that strategy in the past with various pitchers
Raaddad - July 17, 2010
The old Aaron Sele ploy!
rspencer - July 17, 2010
I can't remember, did that work with Sele?
opiejeanne - July 17, 2010
Let's hope so
But is our long relief going to be any better?
vladtheimpaler - July 17, 2010
ok, I guess it can't be any worse
vladtheimpaler - July 17, 2010
Never EVER say that.
You’re tempting the gods.
opiejeanne - July 17, 2010
Are you joking?
He’s barely made 5 innings in any game this season! How is this any different?
sothball - July 17, 2010
+1
It should be “he has a 3-inning leash or 3 runs given up”
Downing Rules - July 18, 2010
Scottnak, you got the pregame picks results wrong. The answer is 5 not 2.
Combined number of hits in game by Aybar, Kendrick, and Abreu.
44FAN - July 16, 2010
^This^
is correct, sir:
Admiral Aybar – 1
HK47 – 3
Bobby A – 1
Total 5
Raaddad - July 17, 2010
