Final Score in Anaheim: Mariners 2, Angels 3 ...

The Angels offense did just enough to help out their starting pitcher and the bullpen did what they were supposed to to make a winner out of Jered Weaver on a hot Friday night. Brian Fuentes pitched a 1-2-3 9th for his 17th save and Jered Weaver matched Felix Hernandez at 101 pitches, but Queen Felix had a lot of Halos on the bases while Weaver was able to take down the Seattle crew until new Mariner Justin Smoak brought them closer with a  2-run bomb. But that would be it on a hot and humid evening in Orange County.

Howie Kendric went 3 for 4, one of those hits being the 500th of his career. No batting title yet. The difference in the game as a GIDP by Torii Hunter with runners on 1B and 3B. Not exactly Murderer's Row or anything, but Weave got the W with 5 Ks to boot so on a night when Bengie Molina hit for the cycle in Boston on behalf of the Cocaine Cowboys, Angels fans can just be amazed the the things that were supposed to happen actually happened.
