Every time a Ranger makes good contact he deserves an extra base hit. Any time someone plays decent defense or the ball gets hit toward someone, it is luck.
I really wonder if these guys watch other series. If they do, is it just their hatred of the Angels that makes them forget how the game works?
I’ve been to games in both Oakland and Seattle in Angels gear and I’ll tell you Seattle fans were super nice to us (and this is when we were neck and neck for 1st in August) and Oakland fans were CRAP. Overall I think M’s fans are much nicer than A’s fans.
Sane, sober people got into physical shoving with Athletics fans wearing Oakland gear, at the Big A.
To be fair, maybe the Angels fans were scrambling after a couple of the rats that infest the “Big A”, and inadvertently shoved those A’s fans in their pursuit of tomorrow’s dinner???

the idea of the vicinity play is to keep fielders safe from slides. Howie wasn’t off the bag there to be safe, he pulled his foot off before he caught it because he was focusing more on the double play than actually getting that out. First basemen don’t get vicinity so Howie shouldn’t have there.
Hunter didn’t hustle in on the play that advanced Kinsler to 3rd, if he had then you have 1st and 2nd 1 out. The bloop single would have loaded the bases. Then Vlad’s ground ball, if played correctly gets the DP and ends the inning. Pushing it, but not close to imploding.
Back from the Bee’s game, Kohn blew a 5 run lead and the Bee’s lost 8-7. Amarista had a good game. Got some good pict’s. I’ll try to get them up tomorrow.
He needs 55 games finished. If he finishes this one, that will be 20. He needs 35 in half a season, which is a lot, but it makes me nervous for him to even be close.

the idea of the vicinity play is to keep fielders safe from slides. Howie wasn’t off the bag there to be safe, he pulled his foot off before he caught it because he was focusing more on the double play than actually getting that out. First basemen don’t get vicinity so Howie shouldn’t have there.
