I never had to intimidate the HS kids, thank goodness, but the first day I taught was 9th grade and it was truly hell. The first class had been without a teacher for the first 20 minutes when I got there; the librarian was keeping them at bay and was trying to break up a fight between two big boys who were easily a foot taller than she was. Remedial reading, and half the kids couldn’t read at all. Stupid teacher didn’t call in sick until just before school started. The rest of the day was only slightly better.

…and have to put up with the few appologists left for him by hearing about his bloop singles and that he’s about to turn the corner and save the franchise.
I think he may be intimidated by playing at this level, which is Not Good. He may never reach his potential, or worse, he may reach it for some other team after we’ve given up on him.
While all sounds great, it doesn’t sound like a solid war plan when you’re hoping a team with good talent will just stop competing and we just stroll into first.
Used to give ‘em to me last minute for free if he couldn’t go and couldn’t find any buyers. Too bad the price inflation screwed me out of that hook-up..
Can someone who knows more about golf explain to me
where the greens at the US Open really all patchy and ugly because they were being forced to conserve water? I saw the same ugly patchy grass at the College WS today
due to the grass. Pebble is usually like that due to their use of Poa Annua. the surface is smooth just not very pleasing to the eye from those camera angles
but am I the only one that feels I don’t need to have access to it at all times and until the cost for 3G or 4G service comes down, it’s way too cost prohibitive for people making less than I dunno, like 80k a year?
how did we all survive without internet strapped to our sides wherever we go? Try living life first. Unless you’re a doctor or really fucking important, try slowing down and taking in your surroundings.
I believe that there are some genuine tech junkies out there, but the majority of the buyers seems to be early 30 somethings and under that definitely aren’t making close to 80k. If they want to spend a huge chunk of their income on something that they think will make them look cool though that’s their deal.
win 11 straight over AA teams and we are finishing up the toughest part of our schedule now. Kinda surprised Vlad and the girls are not a lot further ahead than 4.5 games.
I have to yell at him for posting the photoshop contest thread today, leaving it up just long enough for me to create and then upload my amazing creation, and then deleting the thread out from underneath of me.
their entire personal identity is tied up in the accomplishments of their sports franchises, as they’re all useless and have no accomplishments to call their own…therefore each and every win they achieve is the closest to a reflection they have of personal achievement.
I say let them have it from time to time, lest they round up their gangmember friends and start a riot.

Damaged Goods
It was only a matter of time when his winning streak will end. I guess it was to be expected from a pitcher that pitches using smoke and mirrors.

Regardless, one team will still be obnoxious
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
it depends on the standings for me: If the dodgers are good that year, I want them to always lose inter-league play.
If we are gonna be having to hope for a wildcard at the end of the year, I want the Yankee’s to lose

there must be only 4 or 5 of us left here on HH
Kinda like the old days. Is it time for a punk rock reference?
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
Some have decided to watch the game sans message board
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
some went to bed
and i do not blame them… but those watching the game are actually getting a deeper sleep.
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
I'm just waiting for the replay of tonights Burn Notice
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
ha
2005… the good old days…
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
should I stay or should I go now?
Moondoggy - June 24, 2010
when they are calling that 2-0 pitch a strike
why do you try to throw anything else, that’s not a hittable pitch
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
totally
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
so then of course we setup inside
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
Rally Bozo!
~MMP~ - June 24, 2010
Reggie helping his UZR
stolenbases - June 24, 2010
like
inflating a tricycle tire with a diesel truckstop air hose
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
Nice job Reggie
~MMP~ - June 24, 2010
nice play Reggie
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
REGGIE!
ryanfea - June 24, 2010
Broadcast will be from the Diamond Club tomorrow
will anyone notice?
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
I may try to stop in
but will get tossed out for not having a DC ticket
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
poop
Moondoggy - June 24, 2010
poop ≠ 3rd out
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
and the pain only gets worse...
this one is going to last at least another half hour, easily.
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
a good throw gets him
didn’t need a GREAT throw
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
so this ump is giving like 5 inches off the outside corner
and we are trying to throw inside fastballs?
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
We ≠ Bell
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
he's giving 5 inches on the inside, too
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
he can $300 a turn in Vegas
doing that
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
if he gets a boob job
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
this bullpen is so bad
soooooo bad
hobbit_86 - June 24, 2010
The Tecate is running out, this game is so long
and painful.
44FAN - June 24, 2010
NOW Manny hustles
~MMP~ - June 24, 2010
Well goodnight everyone
ryanfea - June 24, 2010
Torii had no chance of getting the guy at 3rd and lets Loney take 2nd
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
I feel like my life is slipping away
and it’s not even the bottom of the frame
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
Whatever, they can run up the score
but still only counts as one win. 1 win will not outweigh their other 5 losses
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
oh sweet mercy
3 outs
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
even Belisario & Broxton can't blow a lead this big
Quad Fin Rider - June 24, 2010
Let's hope the Rockies series is more like the past two nights, instead of tonight.
~MMP~ - June 24, 2010
So if the Angels moved to Pittsburg
can they also face AA teams 6 times a year?
phoenix15 - June 24, 2010
the AL West is much more benefit
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
agree
I think
Moondoggy - June 24, 2010
ugh, Brandon....
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
Mathis Willits Wood..............................
ugh……….
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
Sad part is I think Willits has had better ABs tonight than Wood
~MMP~ - June 24, 2010
so to be clear...
that should eliminate any “Wood has arrived” fanposts scheduled for the next few days yes ?
BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010
even when Wood gets hits
they almost alway seem to be little bloops and flairs, or seeing eye singles. The guy just doesn’t hit the ball hard
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
"Wood has arrived at Salt Lake" sounds okay to me
Quad Fin Rider - June 24, 2010
haha well said
i hadnt thought of that angle yet
BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010
ok, here goes the bottom of the 9th...
Finally!!!
angelsfan7 - June 24, 2010
I was so looking forward to this game, and now I am just looking forward to its end
agent_99 - June 24, 2010
Washington Cocaine Cakewalkers of Arlington
win 11 straight over AA teams and we are finishing up the toughest part of our schedule now. Kinda surprised Vlad and the girls are not a lot further ahead than 4.5 games.
Rev Halofan - June 24, 2010
howie wowie
BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010
that's the 5th double.
angelsfan7 - June 24, 2010
nice, Frandyman!
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
Is WiHaloFan still here?
I have to yell at him for posting the photoshop contest thread today, leaving it up just long enough for me to create and then upload my amazing creation, and then deleting the thread out from underneath of me.
:(
Caseys Kiss of Death - June 24, 2010
if he's here, he's a gamer
It’s like 1am where he is
yeswecan - June 24, 2010

I stay up to 1am WITHOUT reason all the time.
Caseys Kiss of Death - June 24, 2010

I don’t blame him
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
Victor's sarcasm awesome
BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010

his OBP is over .400 now
Quad Fin Rider - June 24, 2010
Sherrill is ripe
yeswecan - June 24, 2010

Let’s do this!
blast21dave - June 24, 2010

~MMP~ - June 24, 2010

BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010
fields of fire!
yeswecan - June 24, 2010
One more double please
ryanfea - June 24, 2010
1 out of 6 and you’d think they are winning game 7 of the WS. Sit down you stupid Doyer fans.
angelsfan7 - June 24, 2010
Dodger fans are muscleheaded retards
their entire personal identity is tied up in the accomplishments of their sports franchises, as they’re all useless and have no accomplishments to call their own…therefore each and every win they achieve is the closest to a reflection they have of personal achievement.
I say let them have it from time to time, lest they round up their gangmember friends and start a riot.
Caseys Kiss of Death - June 24, 2010
^^ This ^^
blast21dave - June 24, 2010
yup bobby...
you’re slow
BigBangRobbDawgg - June 24, 2010
What!?!?!?
Bobby was safe!
ryanfea - June 24, 2010
even if he was
his run doesn’t mean anything, it’s just more stupid baseball, and it all starts at the top
MH252525 - June 24, 2010
Ugh
stolenbases - June 24, 2010
bad bounce
yeswecan - June 24, 2010

MH252525 - June 24, 2010

K3YEROUT - June 24, 2010 via mobile

angelsfan7 - June 24, 2010
