Hi everyone, looks like there have been some issues with the pregame picks lately, and we apologize for this.
Unfortunately, this also has thrown some of my data that I present to you out of sync as well. I will try to work with foxpaw as much as possible this week to get everything back to normal ASAP.
As a result, I've just pulled the information from the pregame-site database to at least give you what it says your current total is:
Though Saturday's mis-entered correct answer has skewed things the wrong way, for now deal with the point total reflected above.
In addition, One of the issues I see brought up the most is:
> The post-game excel sheets shows a weird TOTAL amount!
A: There's a good chance that I uploaded the docs late, AFTER you have made a bet. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about that. When I pull out the file, it pulls out your current total AT THAT MOMENT. And if you've already made your bet for the next day, it's already deducted your bet from you current Total. And yes, lately I have been uploading these files late, and I apologize, but work gets crazy (especially recently). Gotta deal with that first unfortunately.
And again, sorry for the very lacking update this week, but it's better than throwing inconsistant info.

Hah. I'll double check for you on that.
It looks like in my attempt to make sure people who bet 0 and still got it right still got credit…
I made it so you’d ALWAYS get credit… So if you remember making 7 “0” bets… maybe you’ve got a reverse-perfect :P

Scottnak, foxpaw and myself basically invented this pregame picks site from scratch two weeks before season. Considering it is a volunteer effort, it is kicking ass.
The biggest problem so far was me entering incorrect data for a bet earlier this week. Since scottnak, foxpaw and I all have these things called “lives” and “work” (sorry for the use of that four letter word), the whole thing is a work in progress.
Understanding that this season is in “beta” should hopefully be a good enough explanation for the times that things go a little awry and are not one hundred percent precise. The goal of the pregame guesses is to foster community and to have fun and for people who kick ass at a game to get recognized for doing so.

there are 240 registered user accounts for the pregame picks so this is something that needs to be automated, it is not feasible to expect someone to tabulate participation on this scale.

You are wright it is a lot.
We are very thankful as I know it is a lot of work. It sure is to foster community and give us something to talk and have fun with and as it is new it is going to have glitches and such. Thanks again for the work (just don’t do it again :) )

No issues here with how much you post. Was never a criteria as far as I know. Keep on doin’ what’cher doin’ out in the “Show Me (the money)” state. I am carefully observing your methods…

My problem is
I never check to see if a “mis entered correct answer” happens. Now you’ve got me checking. I now noticed I picked the 6th inning on the Joe Saunders question (what will be the last inning Joe Saunders throws a pitch something like that). Which I think I got correct but 5 was the winner. Has it been corrected.
Will my score be compensated for this?
If I’m out of line asking this, just ignore this post.

i fucked up, entered the worng answer and it is not reversible
so there is a combo here of some buggy computer issues AND occasional human error.

The only thing scottnak needs to apologize for
is me not getting a single correct answer last week. Everyone is catching up to me.
But seriously, don’t feel bad guys. This pre-game thing is amazing, and you don’t need to feel bad when there’s a glitch here and there. Anybody who disagrees can learn scripting/coding and go start their own fansite/pre-game.

I apologize to anyone if I said something that offended. I am a smart-ass, and that doesn’t always come out in a good way in chat rooms. I love the pre-game pick and I wish it were perfect, but I totally understand that mistakes happen, so whenever you want to credit with with eleventy billion points, I think we can move past this.
