Final Score in Anaheim: Angels 12, Athletics 3 ... A's starter was a late scratch prior tothe first pitch and Tyson Ross took the mound and did a serviceable job through 3 innings, but the floodgates were open in a 3-run 4th inning on K-Mo's 8th bomb of the year... and so eteran mop Chad Gaudin was asked by Bob Geren to stave off a run on Oakland arms, thus meatballing hungry Angels hitters to a spaghetti noodle web of hits baserunnners and runs.
Kendry Morales was Chef Five RBI with two monster homers. Ervin Santana was behind early but finished strong while Trevor Bell and Bobby Cassevah held down an Oakland Lineup that swung with a tentativeness that screamed fear of a disabled list planet.
Heck of a game for our Halos Heaven meetup - be sure to check our FaceBook page (linked at the left sidebar) for some shots of your fellow posters here at so far the best game of the year game. You think the Monkey was motivated tonight with so many Panther tee shirts in the stands?

Great hang tonight
So cool to have so many HH-ers hanging and having a great time. Of course, it helped that the Angels played great, but it was all the better to share the experience with a fantastic group of Halos fans! Thanks to everyone who came out — especially the folks who came from far away. There were Panthers in abundance tonight!
yeswecan - May 15, 2010
Amusing story from the game.
I was sitting on the field level in left field, basically right in line with where Jack Cust was standing in the field. Well pretty much everyone was heckling him(Angels and As fans), and it got even worse after he screwed up on that easy fly ball by Wood.
Well the next inning he made the catch on a pretty easy fly ball, and everyone in the section gave him a standing ovation. He turns towards the stands and bows and waves, and starts laughing. I guess he has a pretty good sense of humor
~MMP~ - May 15, 2010
They showed his reaction to that ovation on television last night.
pretty funny stuff

Great game; great HH event
Just got back to Van Nuys from the awesome 12-3 pounding of the A’s at the stadium.
Son of Raaddad and I had a blast hanging with Halo Heaven members and friends.
And it was The best Angel game I’ve ever seen by far (they usually lose, actually) out of like 20+ I have seen in person..
Kendry hit 2 out (and man is it cool to watch the ball fly over the fence, and have the perfect overhead view of that fence—or wall [our version in right of the green monster]), Voodoo pulled it together, Rev harassed the bumming cluster of Jokeland faithful huddled nearby in the stands, Reggie Bullits REALLY hassled those same bumming A’s fans, HH people danced and cavorted (soon to be appearing in an upcoming and embarrassing Wihalofan comic, btw), and to top if off, the lovely Ladybug not only snagged one of those “air-cannoned” Halo t-shirts with a brilliant leaping grab (btw, Rev you ok?), but, amidst the hubbub, casually tossed it to Son of Raaddad as a gift!
It was all so NOT FAIL.
Thanks folks, and let’s do it again soon. I’d say we brought along a little good luck!
Raaddad - May 15, 2010
I think Ladybug got rid of that shirt after it landed through three beers and a soft-serve sundae
A great play, nonetheless…
yeswecan - May 16, 2010
More like
bounced off several pairs of hands, landed in row E seat 13 and under my camera bag where I was sitting but… yeah…. Son of Raadad looked thrilled to get the shirt!
blast21dave - May 16, 2010
Ha! YES he was, blastman.
What beats being a kid and you suddenly get out of nwhere a nice new Angel shirt that you wanted in the middle of game in which your team is kicking total butt, and it’s given to you by a beautiful woman????
NOTHING!!!
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
I sucked out the beer first
can’t give a beer soaked t-shirt to a minor
ladybug - May 16, 2010
lol
Waste not want not—as my mom used to say
Son of R was also the only one to get the free Rally Monkey pillow case given to kids—which I used as a flag throughout the game (it only takes 2 beers to get me goin…;o)
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
he's a good kid
tell him to stay that way or MomBug will kick his butt
ladybug - May 16, 2010
Than you owe me $2.12
I spilled at least 1/4 of my corona trying to grab that shirt that woulda fit me 10 years ago.
Anaheim71420 - May 16, 2010 via mobile
Silly A's fans
Just so easy to harass. Especially after they were acting like the game was in hand in the 2nd inning. When will they learn?
ReggieBullits - May 16, 2010
I have pix to post
but evil Charter is doing its best to prevent my uploading them to my site so’s I have a place to link to. Seriously, they make you wish the Internet had never been invented.
rspencer - May 16, 2010
lol. That is pretty bad
TheAngelsColts - May 16, 2010
I like how Bell and Cassevah pitched again...
Its like Soth has put the entire bullpen in time out and let the little kids play with the big boys on the playground.
BryanHarvey'sMoustache - May 16, 2010
that's hilarious
and so true
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
Great Event...
It was nice to put some faces with names after all these years- And it was the second best Angel Game I have ever been too! What a show!
haloforlife - May 16, 2010
Go Angels! Woo!
AusHaloFan - May 16, 2010
Awesome game!
Glad I went and hung out with everyone! Great group of people to watch an Angels game with.
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
I think there should be a POTG option for the Halos Heaven Meet-up!
I’m probably not the only one who attributes the victory to the power of the Panther.
mattwelch - May 16, 2010
Well, we did ask the AN crowd if they could come to every game...
red floyd - May 16, 2010
So were all those in attendance last night making comments back and forth to each other?
Chone's Chonies - May 16, 2010
Of course!
red floyd - May 16, 2010
People moved around our area a bit too
Especially Rev, who pretty much sat with everyone for a little bit—when he wasn’t waving his cane at the A fans
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
What a game
wish i was there:
Things i had to do instead of meet up with Halos Heaven
1) Change a flat tire on a SUV
2) Pick out glasses that fit my small head
3) Feed the baby
4) Wash dishes
Man i wish i went to the meet up
and GREAT Game K-MO
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
OH 5) the pea incident of 2010
My daughter says that Vlad has peas on his legs and i tell her i feed him only pears. OH SHIT
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
Your name did come out
Some thougth I was you (raaddad…dad of vlad—a little confusing I guess). of course, we’re about 40 years apart in age, but how would you know that on line
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
For people that dont have Facebook
Can the pictures be post where we can all see them?
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
Get with the times man
Facebook is a necessary evil
ryanfea - May 16, 2010
My reason for no facebook is very valued
As a police applicant it is best to have very little about yourself personally online. What they do is print out your facebook page and look at all your friends and ask you about there activities and yours. A person could post that last night it was great getting high with me as a joke and there is no way to prove that i was not super high 3 months ago. It sucks but that is the way it is. But i should get a facebook because with the economy the way it is and the middle of the road talent that i am i might be getting hired for a couple years.
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
just open a facebook page
keep it blank, put all privacy on ‘only me’ and then you can access the pages with no information about you available.
ladybug - May 16, 2010
when filling out the 36+ page background report
i must list every website i visit on a weekly bases and must give my screen name and password to all social networking sights. The shit is evasive
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
Cheese and crackers, man!
And I thought my boss cyberstalking me on Twitter was invasive!
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010

What a night. As I take a moment to reflect on yesterday's events
I had some low and highlights. Driving in to the stadium some dude in a black suv flagged my wife in front of him on Orangewood or at least we thought. Dude almost hits us and starts talking shit. My wife stops the car he drives around us and calls my wife a bitch causing me to get off the car. Now I don’t condone Halo on Halo violence but sucka crossed the line. The motorcycle cop coming from behind was the only thing that saved him and me because I doubt I would of even made it in the game. I did look for that a-hole while walking in the stadium. Fellow HHers may have noticed the angry look on my face the first few innings but it wasn’t because we hadn’t gotten a hit yet. Oh ya I forgot to mention that we saw Tony Reagins right outside of our seats as we were getting there. We exchanged pleasantries but I was still in fight mode which had blocked off all my thinking abilities.
After I finally got my Coronas and met b0rderline, ladybug Raddad I started feeling better. I could of used a 420 break but just being around a bunch of true fans like myself and the offensive explosion made this a great night. Extremely wasted by the 4th inning guy who’s blog name I don’t remember was the best. You my friend lightened up my mood. Your two best plays: missing your seat and getting lost a couple of sections over. I’m not trying to poke fun actually I just want to thank you. Please reply so I know your name and that you made it home safe. Last but not least Rev, Cupie and yeswecan sat in front of us during a majority of the scoring and my hands are still aching from all the hi-fives especially Wood’s rbi single. Rev you were a crack up young man.
Thank you all for a memorable night.
Anaheim71420 - May 16, 2010 via mobile
That had to be me
Even if (or rather, because) I don’t remember it.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
Yep, Zoe, that was you. Bug and me had to yell your name about 5 or 6 times before you heard us and came back.
red floyd - May 16, 2010
By the way, glad you made it home.
We were worried about you…
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Let me be very clear
I did NOT drive myself home. So all was well.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
A lot of traffic on the 5 going back to LA
BTW, 1. did you take your Red Floyd secret scenic route back?
2. we can’t get the pictures on Facebook for some reason
3. thanks for putting up with my kid
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
No, took the 5 all the way up. Wasn't too bad.
By the way
redfloyd at gmail
And for those who are interested, the Red Floyd Secret Scenic Route from the West Valley to Anaheim is:
It helps by avoiding the inevitable accident in the East LA interchange
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Yes. Good times.
It was a good night. I’m extremely happy that you didn’t drive home. After Adenhart I’d think Halo fans would always have better sense if not for the safety of ourselves, families and everyone else on the road then at least out of respect for our fallen angel. That’s why I take my wife to games even though she is a Doyer fan.
Anaheim71420 - May 16, 2010 via mobile
Why do I now know four different red guys with blue girls?
Strange, unlikely phenomenon.
By the way, profuse apologies if I spilled any beer, wine or Jack on anyone. I don’t recall doing so but that doesn’t mean anything.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
the only thing you spilled
was your butt on the ground when you missed the seat!
I’m glad to hear you didn’t drive yourself home. We were worried about that!
ladybug - May 16, 2010
I really did not want to make anyone concerned
But thanks all the same.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
oh shut up
it’s the Loyal Order of the Halos. We ALL care!
ladybug - May 16, 2010
Is that the name of our new Firm?
Sweet. Let’s get out there and rumble.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
I probably need to issue that same blanket apology
I was pretty wasted too & hope I didn’t spill anything on anyone
Quad Fin Rider - May 16, 2010
No you were awesome--and thanks for the brewski!
We actually have a little AVC club going here at HH which is surprising but cool.
May Bruce Cohen’s memory live on!
Here’s to great teachers everywhere!
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
It was great to meet you, but unfortunately missed out on meeting a lot of the others
I was feeling a little woozy and since I parked close to an entrance, I thought I’d just lie down in my Jeep for half an inning and rejoin everyone in the Knothole Club later. Instead I dozed off & woke up around 11:30!
Quad Fin Rider - May 16, 2010
So that's what happened to you!
We were wondering.
A nap is always a good idea before “driving while blind”
(that and a s#$@load of coffee and H2O.)
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
I missed out on a free beer? damn!
ladybug - May 16, 2010
I owe you an IPA
You walked right past me when I was chatting with Missus Halofan & she pointed you out. I called out after you, but you vanished.
Quad Fin Rider - May 16, 2010
wine
cupie - May 16, 2010
1. Didn’t we all enjoy drinking red win [sic] that night?
1a. An inebriated sot who, having consumed 10+ beers and 3 Jacks notices that one of the Knothole bartenders pours very generously and has just opened a bottle of La Crema.
2. Really? I’ll totally send you a new pair if that’s true.
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
Make it 5. Mrs. red floyd is a Doyer fan, insomuch as she's any sort of fan.
But she does like Torii.
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Yea, at least wait until we could videotape you
kicking his a%$@
Which I’m sure is what would have happened.
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
What about Zoe's undying love for Rally Manatee?
That was a pretty sweet highlight as well.
It was awesome to meet you bro, a pleasure sitting next to you. Btw, what’s a guy gotta do for a damn pretzel? LOL.
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
better than Zoe
was the kiss cam and the older couple who got photobombed TWICE!
I was laughing so hard, I was crying
ladybug - May 16, 2010
Yeah, that was pretty bad.
They had absolutely no idea what was going on. I’m sure someone sitting next to them had to explain it to them! :-p
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
The dude next to the old guy told him the first time (you could see it), but he didn't get it until the second shot.
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Pretzel....
Uh…. Crap. Drawing a blank. Were we talking about pretzels? Did I steal your pretzel?
Zoe Necrosis - May 16, 2010
Nah, that was to Anaheim71420.
The guy ordered a pretzel in like the 5th inning and didn’t get it til like the 8th. I guess the server thought he asked for a Pepsi. Haha. It was cool to meet you too Zoe, I was afraid that I would end up being the drunk one of the group, but you carry yourself better than I could ever wish to in that state.
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
I stole a piece of stash's pretzel
ladybug - May 16, 2010
Hey, it's OK. You told us you were disease-free!
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Who was it
that handed me a piece of a pretzel then? I just remember someone handing me something
blast21dave - May 17, 2010
Probably me.
Was it in the 8th or 9th inning?
red floyd - May 17, 2010
I think so
Thanks though!
blast21dave - May 18, 2010
That was pretty cool too.
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Gaudin DFA'd
Thanks for the memories, Chad.
ReggieBullits - May 16, 2010
Damn, I was hoping they'd keep him to let us have batting practice again.
TheKingfish - May 16, 2010
Damn. I lose the bet.
I was sure that there were going to be at least 3 posts comment on Tampa Bay DFA’ing Burrell, and saying that we should get him.
red floyd - May 16, 2010
this must be a joke
Are the angels becoming the next AAAA team in the majors ?
DAD OF VLAD - May 16, 2010
Hey b0rderline!
I still owe you a beer
red floyd - May 16, 2010
Haha.
Hopefully there will be another HH game sometime soon, so that I can take you up on that before I forget about it. Maybe we’ll have to have a few mini-HH meet-ups down the road.
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
it's a sacrifice
count me in
ladybug - May 16, 2010
us too
Loyal Order of Halos—you’re on to something
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
When is the next HH meet-up?

Go Halos!

Sorry we couldn’t hook up with you—What happened?
Raaddad - May 16, 2010
And just so you know Cmd. Nate.
Raaddad here was extremely disappointed you didn’t wander up to the club level. He mentioned it a few times throughout the night.
b0rd3rline - May 16, 2010
Think I was crying a little bit there
hope you didn’t see that…
Hey—game is about to start, eh? Place your bets!!!
