From our friends at AM-830, Jeff Biggs went "Down in the Dugout" with Angels pitcher Trevor Bell the day after his return to the majors (a busy day capped by an extra inning W in front of the hometown fans).
AUDIO: Jeff Biggs interviews Trevor Bell
Bell talks about struggling with his slider and has abandoned his curveball, at least for now, and attributes not having better statistical results in AAA because he has been working on the grip which he now feels he has found and is comfortable throwing in game situations. Audio runs just over 5 minutes.
Bell also got to pitch against Cliff Lee in a AA matchup against the Rainers and discusses the impact.
Thanks as always to KLAA, Jeané Blunt, Jason Brennan and of course, Jeff Biggs.

I have a special rooting interest in Trevor Bell
Of course I wish him well simply because he is in the Angels organization, but I root for him even more because he’s from my high school alma mater, Crescenta Valley. I’m fairly sure he’s the first CVHS Falcon to make it to the MLB, and maybe to any of the big three majors.

Thanks for smartening me up
and how could I forget about Brad Holland? He was a senior when I was a sophomore, and he played right here on the Lakers. What a mook I am. We were kind of a basketball powerhouse at that time, when Goorjian was the coach.
You know, it simply didn’t occur to me that there would be a CVHS section on Wikipedia, or I would have looked long ago!

You gotta be a little more clear
When you say CVHS.
I got booted out of a CVHS & it wasn’t that one

I did say "Crescenta Valley" first
but what CVHS are you talking about? Crown Valley?

I had to vote for O'Sullivan
Just on the off chance we might get an encore postgame breakdancing performance like last season.
