This Saturday, we are having a Halos Heaven meetup before and during the game.
BEFORE THE GAME: We are meeting at Throwbacks at 3 PM. This will be a chance to meet some of your favorite commentariat, editors and posters from the site. You will all get to meet (but not touch) Missus Halofan in person as she and I will be out and about. WiHalofan and Scottnak are flying down to SoCal for this, so surely you can drive over and help us fly the Panther Flag. A free shuttle bus departs from Throwbacks in ample time to see the game, saving you the $8 stadium parking charge and yes, it returns to Throwbacks after the game as well. This mega-sportsbar is less than a mile from Angels Stadium.
DURING THE GAME: We sold over 50 group rate seats to section 347, so that is where a core contingent of Halos Heaven will be. After the 6th inning, the Club Level opens up for people with tickets from other sections - if you are on the Club level during the game, stop by and say hello. If you are on a different level, some of us will be headed to the Knothole Club after the 7th inning stretch. Protect your ears from bleeding to "Buttercup" by running up the stadium ramps to the Club Level and look for the Panther Patrol in the Knothole Club. The elusive yeswecan and cupie should be in the house by then.
WHAT ABOUT THE SITE WHILE YOU ARE ALL OUT? Rghan will be managing things from his Ivy League lair and we will be mobile posting in between moments of pure awesomeness. In fact, if you are not already, add Halos Heaven as a friend on FaceBook as that is where many of the documentations of debauchery will be posted.

It’d be great to not feel so isolated. I haven’t met another Angels fan since I moved from California. I don’t hang out with undergraduates, but the students I’ve had from LA all turned into generic Red Sox fans immediately upon arrival. No wonder Pink Hat Nation makes so much noise when the Red Sox are in Anaheim.

Wouldn't you know my weekends are free,
But I can’t attend this meet up either. I missed my nephew’s 12th birthday because of work, and promised him a day at Magic Mountain. Then again, he is 12 and old enough to know that sometimes things just don’t go your way, and it really wasn’t my fault for missing his birthday in the first place….and it is pretty presumptuous for him to think I’d drop everything just to honor a promise I made out of guilt……

Oddly enough, I will be at this game through no effort of my own
My parents decided like 2 weeks ago that we are doing a late Mother’s Day/early my birthday get together to save everyone from having to drive all over So-Cal multiple times this month. My dad bought tickets somewhere in the 400’s near home plate I think.
I have a bunch of stuff to do back home in Elsinore prior to leaving for the game and my dad wants to go to dinner before. I don’t know what he has planned. Plus, I don’t know if I want him embarassing me in front of my tnternet friends…
Isn’t there gonna be some other gathering later in the year as well?

I stumbled my way down to the Knothole Club in the top of the 8th...
Didn’t really recognize anyone and it seemed a little empty. Then again, the only person I might have recognized would have been Rev from pictures and underground internet newscasts. I wandered aimlessly for a few minutes and then went back to the upper deck. Cool little club, though – I can’t remember the last time I went in there.
If you saw a dashing young man sporting a Juan Rivera jersey and a hat that was cooler than yours (see profile pic) during the 8th looking lost and alone, there’s a good chance it was me.
