Halos Heaven

april 9 pregame

The Angels all time winningest pitcher Chuck Finley did not win his first game in 1994 until May 8, when he turned in a dominating performance, going the distance and shutting out the Oakland Atheletics 7-0. The Angels tacked Ron Darling with 3 runs in the 1st inning and never looked back. Harold Reynolds led off getting hit by the pitch, Jim Edmonds singled followed by a Tim Salmon single that scored Reynolds. Chili Davis walked and Bo Jackson singled home Edmonds. With the bases loaded and nobody out, leave it to Chad Curtis to ground into a double play, plating Salmon. Curtis made it to 3B on a basehit by Jorge Fabregas but a Spike Owen groundout ended the inning.

Chuck Finley = my favorite Angel
yep

He was one of my childhood heroes

One of the first Angel favorites of mine
Maybe its just the mobile version of Hh on my phone

But I don’t see yesterdays pregame picks results, anyone know where I can find them?

I wondered about that too...

I have been checking yesterdays post game report furiously. I made my prediction but wasn’t sure how much I had to bet with.

What did Tawney think of all this?
I wish a woman would attack me with high heels

instead of those damn crocs…

Mathis is starting again...

I wonder what Napoli did to piss off Scioscia.

I think he is trying to see if Mathis will be able to bat this way with consistance then he may use Nap. and Matsui as a shared DH with Wilson backing up Mathis
Switching from Matsui to Napoli is like switching from Scotch to Brandy.
Mike Scioscia, go F yourself.

Starting Mathis more often than Naps should be a criminal offense. I predict that Mathis’ BA will be near .200 by early next week, stay there all year and have no effect on his playing time.

Mathis had good BP's in spring ...

and from what I’ve seen in the first week of the season, he is still hitting pretty well. I believe the real Jeff Mathis has finally stood up.

Izzy and Mathis starting again tonight
Where is the link for the pregame picks?
use the old link

“who will reach third base tonight” – click on pregame picks

Was exhausted last night, forgot to put up results

Or look in the writeup again.

I'm at a pretty solid 70th place

I’m working my way up

I like easy questions to help make up points.

Question: Will Jeff Mathis pop out in tonight's game?
Last place... it will be MINE!
eyespy, Stirrups, and Q went broke.

BAH- HA – HA – HA

Woohoo

6th place so far but damn Vladtheimpaler killed it last night!

I had a different total

than the spreadsheet, 8027, and was all set to display my feeble maths skills to show such, when I noticed that for both vladtheimpaler and I, our Totals are less than our Winnings, so something seems to have gone awry somewhere. . .

not that I have deep concern about the scores or anything, you know, just in the spirit of helping out in the development of PGP 2.0 and all.

THanks!

Interesting.

I’ll take a look at whether it was a transfer to excel issue or something on the backend.

Thanks for catching this!

Q to the minors...Cassevah up

LINKIEto MMP’s post

Interesting that he is the one to come up
On my way to the RC Quakes game

To see Kazmir in action. I’m taking my camera, and even though I suck at picture taking, I’m gonna do my best to get some for all you fine people.

Go Quakes!
Go Angels!

THANKS

post ’em here please!

Thank ye much!
Naps is definitely in the Soth's doghouse...

Mathis starting and batting 9th again tonight. Eybar riding the pine with Gazoo leading off…rest of the lineup is stock with Woody 3Wood batting 8th (gonna go back to my old nickname for luck…no more Woody).

is it just me or is there no pregame picks today?
Just about to ask the same thing
LINK IN LEFT SIDEBAR
