I have absolutely no faith in Reagins talent evaluation……. Just like Stoneman liked Bottenfield because of his fluke W-L record one year, Reagins signed Rodney because of his Save %. The guy just flat out sucks
Matsui is a better hitter that Vladdy was last year. The young players (Aybar, Kendrick…) will get more seasoned and the payroll is flexible: They can always make trades
This team ain’t better that last year’s: But 2009 Lackey is not better than Piniero AND Kazmir and there’s no way that Figgins could repeat last year 6.1 WAR. But look at the competition: It’s gonna be harder than last year for sure but when compare the true talent level of this team, it is still better than the rest of the division!
I want to hear Scioscia slip up and say “he can STAND at 8 different positions”, instead of the usual bullshit of him being able to competently play all these different positions.
