WHAT: Halos Heaven Meet and Greet with Seats in front of the Club Level Suites
WHEN: Saturday May 15, 6:05 PM ... WHERE: Angel Stadium for game Vs. Oakland
HOW MUCH:

$26 is a big discount for your ticket to the Club Level near the Knothole Club - you get access to the KC and the Club Level, tickets are for PADDED stadium Club Level seats and Waiter service to your seat. These seats are normally $34. HOW TO PAY: Just Paypal $26 per ticket to baseballgirl1976 @hotmail .com ... along with your mailing address, site username if you have one and most importantly: HALOS HEAVEN in the subject line. Tickets will be mailed to you. We meet at the seats before the game. UPDATE: Dont Like PaypaL? Okay do this: Email and explain that a check or money order is coming for tickets, the amount of tix and $26 per ticket. Put HALOS HEAVEN as the email subject. Send $26 per ticket to: Christy via US Mail - email her for her address.
UPDATE: We sold 25 tickets Thursday afternoon, which means we get the section reserved and can add to it now, so you have just a teensy bit of breathing room to pay for tickets now. Deadline to paypal is TUESDAY, April 13 deadline to mail payment is Monday April 12 - and the email to Christy saying the payment is coming is due Monday night.
Tickets are WAY LIMITED - act TODAY (really, if you put this off too long ... well... you might not be getting a seat with the group, as the entire Club Level has restricted access). There is not a large block of seats available for purchase due to the popularity of the Knothole Club on a Saturday night - you MUST buy today. We are going to rock the Knothole Club, no guarantees... but in the past aspiring Strike Force girls have been spotted there enjoying the party.
You have a limited window of time to get these unique seats and their amenities...
YES, you can bring a date, YES you are invited even if you are not a regular poster, YES you can bring kids, in fact it is pillowcase giveaway night for all rugrats in attendance, YES you can bring in outside Food and Drink per Angels stadium policy, you are not obligated to eat at the Knothole Club. YES you can buy as many seats as you want if you have a few people in your party. Seats are $24 and there is a $2 handling fee. You don't have to comment in this thread or do anything else as long as you get "Baseball Girl" her money. Baseball Girl is Christy at SBN.

Should've read the caption first...
ReggieBullits - April 8, 2010
Dang it...I have a nice bonus coming today or tomorrow that I am going to use for fun stuff. This would be the first thing I purchase with the money, but will it be in time?! Fingers crossed.
Question: My parents have club level season tix, but they are over by third base; i’ve never been to the Knothole Club or that whole club level area in right field. Would the parents tix get me into the club level out there?
Mayheminthehood - April 8, 2010
The official site says yes.
ReggieBullits - April 8, 2010
Is the Knothole club food any good?
Zoe Necrosis - April 8, 2010
Done!
Good thing I double-checked to see if my cousin wanted to go. Could not make it that evening so just 1 ticket for me. Payment sent
blast21dave - April 8, 2010

Is there any way u know the avg age of people here on the heaven? I’m only 19 and don’t know if I’ll fit in haha
HalosBiggestFan - April 8, 2010 via mobile
Im 12
Want to play pokemon with me?
PhiSlamma - April 8, 2010
I'm actually referring to actual age, not level of mental maturity slamma.. Thanks for the offer though
HalosBiggestFan - April 8, 2010 via mobile
Hey just because I play pokemon
watch wrestling, eat my boogers, and hit on 13 year olds doesnt make me immature.
Its my constantly flaming of Halowood and calling him a “poopyhead” that makes me immature.
PhiSlamma - April 8, 2010
dirty old man...
rmhalofan - April 8, 2010
Yeah, I'm 24
if the average age there is gonna be 35-40ish, I’m not so sure you guys are gonna wanna hang with me.
Though I’m sure there are a plethora of non-age related reasons you wouldn’t want to, too. ;)
Caseys Kiss of Death - April 8, 2010
Im 25
PhiSlamma - April 8, 2010
I have a feeling we're gonna be best friends, then
Caseys Kiss of Death - April 8, 2010

If I do go, I will bring new swear words for us to discuss.
Commander_Nate - April 8, 2010
Hey, I'm at the upper tier of 20s
but alas, I’m unable to go. I’m a sad panda.
Slasher52 - April 8, 2010
When I was your age
we had to SIT ON THE CEMENT cause there was no seats! And there was no SCOREBOARD and no FOOD!!! And we had WALK THROUGH THE SNOW for 5 miles to get to the park! AND WE LIKED IT!!!!!!
(Grumpy ol’ Raaddad)
Raaddad - April 8, 2010
UPHILL BOTH WAYS!
Zoe Necrosis - April 8, 2010
You got to SIT?!?
Kids today.
Stirrups - April 14, 2010
It is the Angels that bind us!
Age doesn’t matter when we have the Angels in common. It’s like a church. We’ve got our elders and our newer converts all vibing together.
Rally Manatee - April 8, 2010
I'm 26
I trust there will be a good turnout of 20 somethings at the game next month
blast21dave - April 8, 2010

Should be damn fun!
b0rd3rline - April 8, 2010

it will be a cross section, but nothing that should alienate one generation from the other.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
Don't trust anyone under 30!
rspencer - April 8, 2010
I'll be 30
four days after the game.
Anaheim71420 - April 8, 2010 via mobile

Is there anyway to do this with a Ticketmaster card thingy?
I get a TM card for all my tickets throughout the season. Dont ask why =)
PhiSlamma - April 8, 2010
sorry, nope
the group rate is the group rate and it goes thru the group rate protocol.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010

Mayheminthehood - April 8, 2010
You still have a pager?
Commander_Nate - April 8, 2010
suwoooop

clover_black - April 8, 2010
I done did it!
The wife and I will be there! It’s going to be great to be surrounded with Angel fans for once. We always manage to get tix surrounded by opposing fans.
rspencer - April 8, 2010
I assume you still pay full price for all the food from the club, though?
How’s the food, and how are the prices?
Caseys Kiss of Death - April 8, 2010
Paypal = payn in my ass
I’m gonna have to wait 3-5 days for funds to be added to my paypal account. I’m tryin to stay optimistic that there will be 2 tix waiting for me to purchase when this finally clears.
Anaheim71420 - April 8, 2010 via mobile

UPDATE: Dont LIke PaypaL? Okay do this: Email and explain that a check or money order is coming for tickets, the amount of tix and $26 per ticket. Put HALOS HEAVEN as the email subject. Send $26 per ticket to:
Christy Hofmann • 5251 W. Imperial Highway • Los Angeles, CA 90045
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
Thanks Rev. You are the man!
I really don’t like paypal so this alternative works out great for me.
Anaheim71420 - April 8, 2010 via mobile
Paypal doesn't like me.
Is there any other way to pay for it Rev? I have the money, but Paypal won’t let me send a payment. I’m gonna be pretty bummed if I miss out on this cause of stupid Paypal.
b0rd3rline - April 8, 2010
create a new account
and have it pull straight from a credit card.
Paypal problems are always solved by just starting a new account to draw directly form your atm card for purchases.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
Thanks Rev.
It must’ve been the computer I was on, cause I tried it again on my home computer, and it magically works. Yay!

SportsChicken - April 8, 2010
it is a business address
she was cool with it.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
I'm in.
My wife loves the Club Level, great choice.
Also count me in as curious about the Knothole Club prices/food quality.
AlanFalcon - April 8, 2010
Knothole Club is operated by Aramark
That should tell you about the “quality” of the food.
From the Let Me Google That for You Department:
ReggieBullits - April 8, 2010
MY OPINION OF THE KNOTHOLE CLUB
great atmosphere. Food is pretty much Denny’s-esque.
I had one great meal there and one room temperature quesadilla and melted ice cream dessert that I was none too pleased about.
That was in 2006, people tell me it is much, much better now.
The vibe and decor are pretty awesome.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
I'm having paypal issues dang it.
I’ll come all the way down from SF for this game.

RexTookMyStash - April 8, 2010
we've sold 6 pairs so far
I can bump it to 40 if I get 25 but I gotta get 25 first.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
Woo Hoo!
Got 3 tickets. Stoked to meet everyone!
RexTookMyStash - April 8, 2010
Sorry, not gonna go.
I don’t have a paypal account, and I refuse to open one. They’ve behaved poorly in the past, and I’ll be damned if I give them the benefit of the doubt with access to either my CC or my bank account.
red floyd - April 8, 2010
We'll get one for you and you can come with us from the Valley
Of course, I can’t order til friday I think (wife of Raaddad in charge of such things regretably.)
BTW, we could always switch around a little once we get there, if 20-somethings want to hang together more, and older family types (the old folks ;p) want to hang together.
I don’t see any of it as a problem and the diversity is cool too (my son would rather be around younger hip nerd dudes than dudes my age prbably), but I’m just saying…

Access to your credit card
If someone uses your credit card without your permission, isn’t that the credit card companies problem? Maybe it just hasn’t happened to me, but that is part of the reason why I try to use my CC for everything. If something goes wrong, I’m just assuming it’s not my problem.
On the other hand, I would NEVER give paypal access to my bank account. Them or anyone else if I can avoid it.
LosAngel - April 8, 2010
Yeah, PayPal can't do anything with your CC number...
That said, they are a shady evil company according to the internet, so I understand the position. Thankfully the great Rev has come through with another option.
AlanFalcon - April 9, 2010
Lol @ the paypal hate...
Strange, I’ve operated for 10 years with paypal. Never once had a hitch.
Downing Rules - April 8, 2010
I blame myself
more than I do paypal. I’m always a lil paranoid about internet fraud and such.
Anaheim71420 - April 8, 2010 via mobile
Most of PayPal's problems come in when you're using it as a merchant to sell stuff.
If you have an exceptional sales day, it flags as suspicious and all your cash gets frozen so you can’t access it (hope you didn’t have to pay for the cost of goods sold after receiving payment from your customer!) and even worse you suddenly can’t accept any new orders. It’s a long, complicated, uncertain process to then get those funds unfrozen.
In other words, very bad behavior. So I can understand anyone refusing to have dealings with them on principle.
AlanFalcon - April 9, 2010
Strange...
I am a merchant going on 10 years and sold upwards of $4k in one day (a really good day). Never have my accounts been frozen nor could I not accept more payments. Hmm.
Downing Rules - April 9, 2010

I wish I could join y’all…but, with geography and all…

Melody will be 6 months old then. What is it, like under 2 is free?

Daughter of Raaddad is 11 and not committed to this adventure as of yet….
Raaddad - April 8, 2010
you will be fine with an infant
except in reference to one of our posters here with the screen name infant…
It is assumed that children under 2 sit on the lap and do not get a ticket.
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
Is that how the "aspiring Strike Force girls" get in?
It is assumed they’ll sit on the lap.
Rally Manatee - April 8, 2010
Billy Mays here...
wish i could join you all, but unfortunately that date is not open for me. Have fun!
Chone's Chonies - April 8, 2010
Does the Knothole Club have assigned seats?
Or do you just mill about?
Rally Manatee - April 8, 2010
GOOD QUESTION
We will have seats a few sections over from the Knothole Club, actually in the rows in front of a suite. The Knothole Club itself is more of a sports bar mill-about place. Their menu will be brought to our seats, though, so if the vibe there is not cool, we don’t have to hang, we have somewhere to be!!!
Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010

Rev Halofan - April 8, 2010
He might have to
Sounds like someone is going to need to give him a ride home! He can hop in her ride home and then she can hop on his
LosAngel - April 8, 2010
I doubt it.
Angels baseball is too important to me to waste it in a drunken haze. I save that for when people invite me to non-Angels games featuring teams that I could care less about. Granted, I’ll probably have 2 or 3 beers, but plan on being coherent for the duration of the game. However, if that doesn’t happen, I will definitely find alternate means of transportation.
On the other hand.. Cougars, eh? Hmm, maybe not..
b0rd3rline - April 9, 2010
One Ticket Purchased
It’s just going to be me since I couldn’t get the girlfriend interested in going. She’s from Spain, probably the only Spanish speaking country in the whole freaking world where they don’t play baseball. Go figure…
Quad Fin Rider - April 8, 2010
It has been my experience that Spaniards and Italians are the Europeans least likely to be interested in baseball
I used to think the same about the Brits, but given the existence of The Limey, UK Halo, Merlin and others I’ve met online or in person, I’ve had to alter my opinion. Germans, Dutch, Scandanavians, and even people from the Czech Republic that I’ve encountered have been willing to give it a chance or take up a passing interest in it. Hell, the Irish I’ve met seem to legitimately like it.
Maybe it’s because of how nutty Spain and Italy are about soccer. They’ve told me baseball is boring, but you can look at soccer the same way (not that it doesn’t take athleticism). They are both fairly slow-paced games when you look at them.
Commander_Nate - April 9, 2010
That's because a lot of Irish 18-20 year olds have come over heer for a summer
and watched games. I know that’s how I became immersed in the game.
Epic Dean - April 9, 2010
Yeah, I've noticed that living in PB (one of SD's big night-life areas)
Last summer my friends and I were the last stragglers from a bonfire at about 11 PM and were just about to leave when literally like 40 Irish kids cruised onto the beach with jugs and jugs of booze. We ended up kickin’ it with them til like 5 AM and had a big discussion with em about baseball, the NFL, rugby and soccer. It was pretty cool.
You from the Emerald Isle originally?
Commander_Nate - April 9, 2010
Yeah. Spent the 1st 23 years of my life there, met my now wife and moved here
Epic Dean - April 9, 2010
i was thinking of moving there
what are the pros and cons would you say?
Rev Halofan - April 9, 2010
A lot depends on where you go to
I’m from Galway(small city on the West Coast) which was a big spot for tourists to situate themselves and travel to a lot of the famous tourist spots. Dublin on the other hand I think is a complete shit hole.
Health care is ok. Free to low income families, insurance available for those who can afford it
All school tuition is free all the way through college, you pay for books and materials.
From what I gather talking to my parents the recession hit bad, a lot of the companies that opened factories there in the 90s are all closing and moving to cheaper countries.
Weather sucks balls. We were lucky if we hit 60 in the summer.
Epic Dean - April 9, 2010
Cool
I’m mainly Irish and German. Been to the latter fatherland and really wanna visit the former.
Commander_Nate - April 9, 2010
Well that would explain the love of alcoholic beverages
Epic Dean - April 9, 2010
Exactly
I’ve made a few abortive attempts to get her interested in baseball, but she finds the game way too slow-paced, boring & even nonsensical. To her baseball only seems somewhat exciting in those moments when somebody actually hits the ball, and so she thinks it’s really stupid that the pitcher should put so much time & effort into never allowing that to happen.
Quad Fin Rider - April 9, 2010
Haha, that's like getting mad at the goalie for blocking a shot
Does she follow soccer or any other sport at all? One thing I noticed in Europe was that women over there tend to have like ZERO interest in sports. They make average American girls look like sports geniuses by comparison. Over here most women have a favorite team in some league and can name at least a few players. Hardcore lady fans like lady bug and the female contingent here on HH would be unheard of over there.
Commander_Nate - April 9, 2010
From Spain?
Land of fiery, silky haired beauties with dark, smoldering eyes and smoothly-toned Moorish skin?
Tell you what.. Just bring her. I’m over in Club 316 and can rustle-up an extra seat for her. Would kinda insulate her from the jarring fray that might be an HH bash, ya know?
I’d be pleased to communicate the ways of baseball to her in a sensitive, caring way. Stolen bases and whatnot. Pop for some nice mixed drinks. Maybe a gaggle of ‘em.
And, if she’s still uncharmed by the surroundings I’d be obliged to maybe whisk her off to a place I know for some Tapas, sangria and Flamenco. Maybe even drop her off near your place later? Or, Sunday morning if she’s really tired after a late night? Whichever.

Besides you wouldn’t stand a chance with her anyway unless you’re Pau Gasol. She’s a huge fan of his, alledgedly because he’s a fellow Catalonian, but I believe it has more to do with her thinking that he’s so cute.

he looks like a big ass nasty turtle

Fingers Crossed...
… Just emailed baseball girl. Hoping there will still be seats available.
For those worried about age being a problem, I went to a Halos Heaven event in Las Vegas when i was 28. Never once felt out of place. And judging by the amount of people who are showing up for this event, it seems like there will be a good mixture.
Now i just have to hope i can get a ticket…

***UPDATE*** (however helpful I have NO idea)
For anyone still looking to get tickets, I just emailed Christy to check availability and she graciously added me last minute to the first group (haven’t paid yet, I’ll be paying when I get out of work & get home). So, while I’m not sure how many groups she will be purchasing for, the first one is booked.

We now have a definite reservation and can get more seats thru early next week, so start planning now and you can pay thru early next week. We already have over 30 tickets sold – pretty cool.
