Can Wood get a Panther T-shirt?
I’d feel better about the entire season if the Wood experiment would grind to a halt NOW. He can’t hit or field at the major league level…sure, he seems like a nice kid…the kid who mows my lawn is a nice kid…but seriously, get him a shirt so he can spend the game getting 2 bucks off a pitcher instead of making out after out against major league pitching. Have the mop and bucket ready, however – he’s likely to mishandle the beer resulting in multiple tavern errors…
I can get one out of charity because i am poor? I am poor and love the Angels. When i am down there i will need the Discounts because i am poor. And do you have any in children sizes for my son who is poorer then me?
most places like that wait until they get a good amount of orders before they screen print.
Unless it is hot pressed on, which means the quality is not going to last.
Screen printing machines take long to setup and you would never do one at a time and make a profitable business.
What you should have done was bought a few hundred and they ship them ground to the people. Three weeks production and once you got them, one day shipping in the LA area and 6 days most to the peeps on the wrong coast.
second off, if you were relying on me to do ANYTHING regarding getting off my ass and packing stuff, getting all the details right and then getting it to the post office, oh ha ha ha hardy har har frickin har.
third off, it is a quality product, I was not thrilled with SBN adding this company as a shirt supplier, but I was impressed with the shirts. They are as good as I could have gotten anywhere.
fourth off, that being said, I am not happy with their slow turnaround, and yes, the “gang printing” bugaboo of the print industry seems to be alive and well even in the print on demand era.
I work as a Logistic Manager and my mind works in a shipping sense. If i lived down there i would offer to help with the shipping end of things. There are programs that can import spreadsheet files with addresses and with a click of a button you just printed all your shipping labels. Also if you prepackage everything it makes it easy when it is timed to ship. Also if you buy boxes and tape from a company like Uline, you should get a bulk deal on those materials. And if your get a business account with a Shipper lets say FedEx, you get a discount and pay them $10 a month to come by once a week to pick up your ground shipments. But i dont want to tell you how to do your job.
these are just suggestions to make it easy on you.
Just one more suggestion. Knowing LA’s printing scene if your shopped around to the downtown LA screen printers you could get a great price on the shirts. I am only trying to help
When ever i hear about shipping issues, it is a Signal for me to arrive
I am the BATMAN of shipping. I can do a fedex international in seconds and have pack and shipped over 300 packages in 20 hours.
If there was a Fantasy Logistics league i would be the Albert Pujols and Tim Linsincum. If you have any shipping questions or ways of improving your shipping let me know.
It says: “I’m a Panther Puppy, Rev!”
Can I still get a discount?
(You can tell from the avatar how badass she is…though, actually, her current kill count:
2 squirrels, 6 rats, 5 possums, and 1 large crow=“Panther Pup”)
We have a Black and Tan Coonhound, and while he has great fun treeing varmints as he was bred to do, he doesn’t actually want to catch them. On those occasions when he outruns a squirrel, he’ll take the long way around the tree to give the critter a chance to get up it! Now, our other dog would love to kill varmints, but she’s not fast enough.
By the way, how did your dog manage to catch a crow?
suddenly she yanks me off my feet and descends into the dark bush on the side.
I finally yank her out and she flies out with some giant screaming creature in her mouth.
I am now screaming too. You have to remember that it it dark and late at night and my happy little black and tan pupdog is suddenly doing mortal battle with some mythic night creature. I was scared shitless and yelled at her to drop the thing whatever it was and then I look back to see its last death throes, before it slumped to the ground, a feathery black corpse. Rad Pup had given her the instant canine fang crunch of death.
I don’t know; my orinthologist friend suggests that the bird may have been nesting down low, sick, or dying, and that’s why it was in bushes in the middle of the night….
Then I had to go and explain to my wife and kids that, ah, our lovely cute fuzzy furry little pupdog is actually a freakin killer Rad Pup.
The rest is history.
Truly impressive, even if I do side with the crow in that situation
Rad Pup is in touch with his inner wolf. He sounds like a great dog. Our dear departed Lucky (my avatar), while a gentle soul, had a great interest in birds as well. Birds and blimps.
And while I’m no ornithologist, I would agree that any crow near the ground at night had to be unable to fly any higher.
One wonders just how many generations back you have to go to find the wolf.
Sorry to hear about Lucky—I thought you just wrote about her recently in someone’s post—did she pass recently?
I can’t stand losing the dogs I grow to cherish so much—it is such a bitch. I think it’s best to get a new one before the favorite passes so you can find “refuge” in the new pet.
Btw, regarding your surprise about my age on the other post—is that in part because I goof off a lot on this site? (I cherish my inner child perhaps too much…) Just curious. I don’t know if you remember my post on the “Magic of Baseball,” which I figured folks would realize that some old (older than 30’s…) fart waxing sentimental—or at least advanced middle aged—lol.
Btw II, I’ve enjoyed reading your pieces here and elsewhere. Thanks.
So, given you’re repping Arte Moreno these days, I’d suggest a Panther revision. Go with a pint glass of Dos Equis w/shot glass of tequila bounced in. That’s panther — up the price.
Pabst by itself is a damn fine beer for the price, but under a stratum of Guinness it would come off as insipid and sweet, like weak 7-Up. I would recommend replacing it with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for a drink worthy of the Panther appellation.

After 35 ABs you can accurately tell that he's a failure
Epic Dean - April 18, 2010
yes
Halopauly - April 18, 2010
You're Brilliant
I assume, therefore, that you would call a 23 year old 3B a failure who, through his first 401 AB, had put up this line: .197/.324/.349?
Compare that to Wood’s line of .179/.209/.282, through 262 AB.
You would agree that both players are failures, correct?

It's a trap!

if anyone wants a t-shirt for May 15th's gathering
order NOW. They take 10 BUSINESS days to just produce the shirt before it gets shipped out. So total time from order to receipt could be 3 weeks.
ladybug - April 18, 2010
I was definitely wondering about that.
I ordered mine on April 1, and it still says “In Production” when I click on order status.
b0rd3rline - April 18, 2010
I emailed
and their reply was
We make every item to order. As it states on the web site, orders can take up to 10 business days. Monday will be business day 7.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

fifth off, I do wish they were a little cheaper but compared to Café Press they are masterpieces.
sixth off, don’t tell me how to run my business.

dude
cupie is a screen printer, he can beat anyone’s price for the honor of printing the Panther.
And I don’t do spreadsheets, the ascendancy of scottnak and foxpaw attest to this and explain the acquiescence of power on my part.

hmmmm
Monday’s a home game, someone go find out.
With the exception of the Del Ninja shirt (2009), the jersey lineup shirt (2009) and the Rally Rat shirt (2007), I believe you should have no trouble.

You should offer it to the Diamond Club exclusively as — PANTHER TrAdition.
Would love to see Dennis Kuhl reminisce of past All Star games whilst wetting his whistle with this.
