My official 2010 Angels preview is posted at SBNation.com for your perusal and enjoyment.
Sample Lines:
While waiting to see if Rob Neyer has found some self-respect or will predict Oakland to take the AL West for the second year in a row, it is nice to know that all those February division titles handed out to Seattle and Texas will decorate LA of A's rearview mirror again this year.
UI: Maicer Izturis signed a 3-year, $10 million deal in the offseason to be the proverbial fire under Brandon Wood and Howie Kendrick 's keister. Little Izzy Pop is too achy-breaky to play every day but his wake-up-and-hit line-drives ability balanced with an excellent glove add up to quite an insurance policy.

I like it but...
You prob take one too many swings at the SABR crowd.
Jietoh - March 26, 2010
Written as if there was one swing that missed.
Which one would that have been?
Stirrups - March 26, 2010
you CANNOT take too many swings at the SABRE crowd
like being too dead.
Moondoggy - March 26, 2010
Eh...
Read like one of your videos monologues… the conclusion was the best part of the review
Seik1177 - March 26, 2010
Weaver didn't miss any starts last year Rev.
He was the only one to not miss any, he just started as the #4 guy because of some shoulder issue during the spring.
halofan4life - March 26, 2010
ah crap
one minor error. Any others?
Rev Halofan - March 26, 2010
maybe proofread it.
cupie - March 26, 2010
I thought we had gotten past that "Izzy is fragile" rap last year.
Stirrups - March 26, 2010
just when
you thought it was safe to go back into the water…
Rev Halofan - March 26, 2010
perfect timing for today's 3-D craze
BRING BACK “JAWS 3-D”!!
yeswecan - March 26, 2010
Great work Rev
Hip, festive, informative, combatative, and spot on
They will see the truth of your prognostications very soon, my brother

Great post, I like Bourjos to fill in in case of an injury in the outfield
and Milton Bradley is already imploding the Mariners so I am feeling much better coming into the start of the season, well…… except for the fact that I have been told I will be at the “Guiness Snuggie” game because my wife wants one for our annual Thanksgiving camping trip, and she won’t even be there because she will be out of town!! Oh well, like I have ever had any self respect.

The Angels.....
Possibly the most quiet 90+ win team in baseball. Going on 3 years in a row now “experts” are loving the flavor of the week and predicting the doom of the Angels. Ya know what, if we haven’t got any worse after losing Kotchman, Guerrero, Figgins, Lackey, Teixeira, GA, K-Rod etc…. we’re probably not going to get much worse. Part of the reason I love this team is everything that stats can’t explain, like why we keep winning.
This team could still get into the playoffs even if Woody crashes, Napoli gets hurt, Ervin never figures it out, Fuentes struggles and Shields can’t find his form. Name another team you could say that about. Do the Yankees win without CC, Posada, Mariano, Hughes and Granderson? Would the Red Sox win without V-Mart, Beckett, Papelbon, Bard, and Beltre?
This is the Angels team I’ve been excited about for quite some time. Napoli, Wood, Aybar, Kendrick, Morales all in the infield, all well under 30.

Over/under
I was in Vegas last weekend and the over under for Angels wins was 84. When I told my dad he started scrambling around trying to find money to transfer to my account.
The odds for the Angels to win the world series was 25/1. The plan was to take all my March Madness winnings and put then on the Angels to win the WS (and possibly more on 84 wins).
The problem lies in the fact that I really suck when betting on basketball.

Stick it on the wins...
…this team remains better set up for regular season than post-season play. We don’t currently have the premium front-line pitching to be confident about progressing through the play-offs.

Spoken like a true ESPN Analyst
Seik1177 - March 27, 2010
Limey's view from across the wide ocean is skewed.
44FAN - March 27, 2010
I snesed a little sarcasm
In the way that he really did sound like someone from ESPN. of course limey being the smart man he is, he will jump on this oppurtunity and claim he was being completely sarcastic, even if he, in fact, wasn’t

I'm never less than genuine when there's money on the line...
…regular season wins is the smarter bet. I’m not saying that 25-1 to win it all isn’t an attractive bet, it is, but if I had to pick one…
Best you can get over here is 22-1 or 12-1 to win the pennant.
Interestingly, the best odds you can find to win the AL West (different books) are:
Halos 2-1
Mariners 9-4
Rangers 9-4
A’s 9-1
The Limey - March 28, 2010
It bet on the wins
I just wanted to bet on both
