Only thoguhts coming into my mind right now, Hunter looks awful and has a weak arm, the Angels have me a little worried this Spring. Michael Kohn is very impressive. We just had a leadoff hitter at 2B with no outs and couldn’t even move him over…..

I was running with the pitcher’s cliches to explain why they are sucking right now.
Now we need a good one for why all the hitters are sucking or still immersed in what Ladybug called "suck-dom
We’re seeing a lot less ugly swings from him. Just from my observation, when he’s able to get ahead in the count, he becomes a great hitter. He’s selective enough to get his pitch. This is rare though, as he almost always takes the first pitch, then fouls off the 2nd, then watches a couple balls in the dirt. The good news is 2 years ago if Wood made it past 4 pitches in an AB it was considered a win. I’ve never seen a better minor leaguer need more work lol. Still he’s one of my favorites.
A/S/L is internet speak for Age/Sex/Location when you’re in a chatroom. I modified it to I/S/O (Inning/Score/Outs) for use here. When you think about it Inning is like Age, Score…don’t need to explain that I think, and Outs are kinda like Location in the inning.
Anyway, sort of a spur of the moment thought created by Monday boredom.
I’m still not sure what our FO sees in this kid. He was torched everywhere above A ball, should have never been promoted. Straight fastball, not overly hard, doesn’ hide it at all. Command is average, offspeed pitches are garbage. Sometimes he has an effective sinker, but not often enough to be worth taking a look at.
Players that might be promoted this year, not out of injury. Meaning guys that just do it on merit. I’d say Kohn, Walden, Reckling, Bourjos, Amarista, Conger and Trout seem like good bets to have a good season.

Woody's looking a little better
We’re seeing a lot less ugly swings from him. Just from my observation, when he’s able to get ahead in the count, he becomes a great hitter. He’s selective enough to get his pitch. This is rare though, as he almost always takes the first pitch, then fouls off the 2nd, then watches a couple balls in the dirt. The good news is 2 years ago if Wood made it past 4 pitches in an AB it was considered a win. I’ve never seen a better minor leaguer need more work lol. Still he’s one of my favorites.

SOS is so God awful
I’m still not sure what our FO sees in this kid. He was torched everywhere above A ball, should have never been promoted. Straight fastball, not overly hard, doesn’ hide it at all. Command is average, offspeed pitches are garbage. Sometimes he has an effective sinker, but not often enough to be worth taking a look at.
