He was suppose to take over for Glaus but that did not happen.
His career is over if you get sent to the A's Minor leagues.
Sorry Dallas, just hope that Woods is not the next you.
but I mean…if “high power potential followed by injury flameout” is our criteria for PED use accusations, then bring on baseball McCarthyism, cuz I can point to everyone.
Because WoodS has never been in the Angels system, unless you’re talking about Jake Woods.
Brandon WooD, on the other hand, will hopefully not turn out like D-Mac.
Sorry, but having that last name and constantly hearing/seeing others screw it up gets kind of freaking annoying after a while (in fact, there’s a whole Facebook group about it). Nothing personal!
Not sure I comprehend the “sad fall” in the title of this fanshot. It should simply be “DMac doesn’t make the team.” Big deal, he’s going to play in the minors. I am expecting to see him on the big league roster at some point this season and I can only hope that his appearance isn’t going to harm the Halos.
did not disappoint. In fact, I think he did just about what everyone here expected him to. Same can be said for Bottenfield. Even though I was not reading any advanced baseball analysis at the time, I knew his previous season had been a fluke and I’m pretty sure any reasonably informed baseball fan knew the same. Worst trade of the Stoneman era, hands down.
Tiger is an Angel prospect?

Only if his mentor is Naps
So getting Laid
DAD OF VLAD - March 14, 2010
Wood, singular

I don't want to be making false accusations
but it seems like Mr. McPherson is/was a PED user.
jtkelly86 - March 14, 2010
It's certainly possible
but I mean…if “high power potential followed by injury flameout” is our criteria for PED use accusations, then bring on baseball McCarthyism, cuz I can point to everyone.
Caseys Kiss of Death - March 14, 2010
wouldnt all the injuries suggest he WASNT a user?
ihearhowie2.0 - March 14, 2010
That's what I'm thinking
halofan4life - March 14, 2010
Depends on what he would possibly be using
I don’t think he was using any PEDs. I mean the guy chose to go to the Citadel. Not exactly Chico State, you know? Some people just have bad luck.
Slasher52 - March 17, 2010
Well I know Woods won't be.

A's are deep in the thrid base position. He will not be in the majors
DAD OF VLAD - March 15, 2010
Kouz, Daric Barton and a healthy Chavez reside above him on the depth chart.
halofan4life - March 15, 2010
Exactly
DAD OF VLAD - March 15, 2010
But he still sucks now
DAD OF VLAD - March 15, 2010
Definitely one of the Top 4 Big Halos Disappointments of last 10 years
along with Mo Vaughn, Shea Hildebrand, and Ken Bottenfield (sp?)
Raaddad - March 15, 2010
Alex Ochoa.
I thought he’d lead us to a threepeat.
AlanFalcon - March 15, 2010
He was only signed throught the season
That was the job of Mickey Hatcher
DAD OF VLAD - March 15, 2010
You forgot Steve Finley.
wumbug - March 15, 2010
Halowood needs to post about this
Great topic for post 3 of 5 for tomorrow.

Hillenbrand (don't care how HIS name is spelled)
did not disappoint. In fact, I think he did just about what everyone here expected him to. Same can be said for Bottenfield.
