Congrats to HH...
I’ve only been here 6 months or so and am mainly active during game threads, but I check the site and love the content. I had been to the other sites over my years of Angel fandom, but never felt compelled to join. I also never felt like I could be a part of the community on those sites and always felt like I was an outsider “privileged” to receive their content. But not at Halos Heaven, I was welcomed and felt at home here from the moment I registered. So, cheers to the guys (and girls?) who run the site and cheers to all of you who make up the great community here!

Seriously, though – there are many times at which I am grateful to be an Angel fan. Some of which occur when I leave the Big A after a splendid victory over a despised foe – some occur when I reflect on the fact that I am living the prime of Halos History, in which there is a first class team just down the road and no one has caught onto that fact yet – and some occur when I drop into this site for the 50th time on any given day and find oodles of new contributions, many of which are supplied by stat-heads and other geeks…
Whereas I gander upon the other baseball SBN sites and upon opening them…. hear naught but crickets…
Does my chosen team seriously bring forth the numerical and analytical elite? If so, thank you lord!

is what keeps me coming back. I’m a newcomer who found the site through Yahoo, and now I view the site a couple times a day.

For those of us that have been around here a while – it seems really stunning that the move from 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 came so damn quick.
I really have enjoyed the work of the newer admins of late: WiHaloFan and rghan particularly, as well as all of the good work on the minors from a couple of folks that I can’t recall now.

An average baseball fan like me used to be able to post about baseball topics, but the quality of new members has taken baseball discussions to the next level. I actually feel stupid when I read about 40% of what’s written on this site now. All I can do is say things like " der, +1" and “duh, FTW!” and “Go Halos!”
Enough of the Halos Heaven HJ. Just want to say thanks a lot to the assholes who actually know minor league rosters or what a BABIP is.
