…. what you don’t realize is that when Weaver or Haren is on the mound, they may be THROWING, but Mathis is actually providing the “premium”, which makes mere tossing of the ball into pitching.

And, with Boras representing them, that won’t be easy. Kendrick and Aybar also could be locked up, but their value is difficult to assess right now. I’m not sure that Napoli, Mathis, Callaspo, Willits, and Wood are in the team’s long-term plans, or even their plans for next season. Frandsen is likely gone.

we wasted 1.3m on Mathis last year? couldnt we have just used anyone else behind the dish, say like… a 10 pound primate, and used that 1.3m to help pay off some of what we owe HGH this year? I’m sure the monkey could hit better than mathis, at least he has no strike zone so he wont K often.

As a poli sci grad from UCLA, I'll take a crack...
Discuss the ramifications of term limits. How does that affect the decisions elected make? If they’re not accountable to the people in their final term, does that make them better or worse legislators? What benefits and downsides are created from term limits? Is congressional turnover better or worse for the people? Compare states where legislators have term limits (CA) to states where they do not (the feds for example).
One place to look is the arguments for and against giving term limits to CA legislators back when the proposition was passed. I would also suggest doing some history research as to why term limits were first installed. Finally, I would say that it might be easiest to structure your paper as follows: present the issue (create a thesis), provide some context, prove your thesis, counter your thesis, counter the counter. And your done.
Congressional term limits is a broad topic. It’s easier once you narrow your scope (are they good or bad) and you give some structure (see above).

They are in need of a catcher and there is a lot of talk at Over The Monster about him and Napoli. If Napoli stays in Anaheim they may well take a chance on Mathis especially if they got him cheap. If Mathis was let go by the Angels, he would cost a lot less than Napoli and not cost them any players in trade as Napoli would. He has familiarity with one of their rotation pitchers, that guy Lackey.
