Ten years ago Angels fans polled about what they would give thanks for might have said something like "elbow room at the stadium..." and that is about it...
Well the transformative decade has left us all with less elbow room but with a hunger to get back to winning as we became quite used to being victorious.
We should all be thankful for the security of Arte Moreno wanting to win as much or more than any of us. There are at least 20 fan-bases out there that will never know the feeling of confidence that Arte gives us.
We should be thankful for the steady leadership of Mike Scioscia who, even if he has started to show a few flaws in his overall strategy relative to his mid-decade run of perfect calls, basically is the best field general in all of baseball. The long-term assurance that he will be here again gives us a confidence in the organization that two-thirds of baseball fans just will never know.
Are you thankful for the least expensive parking in the major leagues? The bikini cougars that swarm the stadium's day games? The lack of rain outs? The imminent return of Kendry Morales? There is lots to be thankful for as an Angels fan... what are you most thankful for?

I'm thankful for the 2002 World Championship (in my lifetime)
And the 2009 ALDS sweep of the Red Sox (in Arte’s tenure)

Same here
I can tell my kids in 15 years that I was there for both. These moments are a couple of the best in Angels history. I’ll never get tired of watching Percy throw his arms up as the ball landed in Erstads glove.

“Erstad says he’s got it….Erstaddddddd….MAKES THE CATCH! The Anaheim Angels are the CHAMPIONS OF BASEBALL!!!!!” . I don’t know about anyone else, but those words right there are what I remember most about that night and what I will always cherish most in all my 30+ years as a fan of my hometown team. RIP, Rory, and thanks for the memories.

All 50 years of Angel baseball.
Jim Fregosi, Nolan Ryan, Tim Salmon, Troy Percival, Jimmie Reese, really each and every one of them that helped when any game since April 1961 – even if they were buried near the basement in August and September.
Even more than that, every single playoff win. Even more than that, 2002!
Living with 8 miles of their spring training site for 38 out of the last 40 years and MLB.TV.
The McCourts. heh.
Spring Training is less than three months away!
God bless us every one.
Rex Fregosi - November 25, 2010
Torii. Hunter.
It feels great to know there is guy on the field who loves this stadium, these fans, this team, and this franchise as much as I do…
Honorable Mention: Being at 2002 ALCS Game 5… watching the team clinch it’s first WS appearance, AK hitting 3 bombs… considering my parents didn’t understand baseball at the time and therefore I wasn’t able to go to the WS… having a friend take me to that game in the Diamond Club is something I will always be thankful for…
Go Halos!

Also thankful for this site
Many teams don’t have a place to have an intelligent discussion about their organization, in addition to some sick movie-still humor & great OG SoCal punk references. This place has made being an Angel fan much more fun, while greatly increasing the store of knowledge available to us. Thanks to all who help make that happen, from the Rev on down.

Thankful for HH.
Which noisily accommodates the high and the low, the optimist as well as the pessimist.
After six years in the gutter of the MLB forums, and a year sniffing at the backslapping jocklatch of AngelsWin and the lonesome alley of Scareduck’s blog threads, here’s to a couple years in a baseball community I can totally get behind. Plus, the site is built for usability, and totally works.
Like another HH once put: ROCK IT!

Thankful for the 2002 World Series team
Which the final piece, Scot Shields, has left the Angels organization.
Here’s to, hopefully, the Angels’ future success!

1st Thanksgiving with my little Angels fan at home!
To those of you who have been following our family story, you may recall that my daughter, Melody, was born 2 lb 4 oz almost 3 months premature on Nov 1st last year. She was still in the hospital for Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, and finally got to come home on Jan 4th. To put it mildly, it was a challenging holiday season.
As I type this, she is napping on the floor at my feet, weighing almost 20 lb, and cutting her 1st tooth. I thank God for this moment. And I thank all of you who prayed and shared your concern with me over the last year or so.
Rally Manatee - November 25, 2010
Now there's something to really be thankful for, bra
Raaddad - November 25, 2010
Touching story, I wish you all luck for the future.
Christoffer James V Ferreira - November 25, 2010
My oldest son was born premature too.
Although he was a monster compared to your daughter (he was 4 lbs. 10 oz) but they do grow up quick! He’s now over six feet tall and 225. Whenever I look at him it’s hard to believe he was once so small I could literally hold him in my hands.
halofolife - November 25, 2010
My younger was 7 weeks preemie (4 lb, 4oz).
She’s now a beautiful senior at El Camino Real
red floyd - November 25, 2010
My preemie has officially outgrown his dad.
He’s taller, faster, and dare I say, does alot better with the ladies. It still amazes me that he’s so friggin’ huge now. And of course he’s a Halo fan. Just like his old man.
halofolife - November 25, 2010
Greetings from Denmark.
I thank you all for providing my favorite morning reed during my classes. As being born and raised in Denmark (EU) it’s impossible to watch the games due to the time difference, so this site allows me to catch up and get a better understanding. Thank you all my american friends and may you have a delicious turkey.
Christoffer James V Ferreira - November 25, 2010
Glad to hear that you enjoy the game of baseball.
But you must be a terribly lonely fan in Denmark. Any other fans around you, or are you lost in a sea of football fans?
halofolife - November 25, 2010
The word lonely doesn’t do any justice. Ever since I went to my first Angels game in 2005, I was sold. I must say I had never experienced a more friendly vibe and a warm atmosphere that you hardy find other places. Those 3-4 hours definitely gave me memories for at lifetime.
Christoffer James V Ferreira - November 25, 2010
You must not have been sitting with Rev!
hahahaha….ha
Raaddad - November 25, 2010
Keep your head up, and know you have fellow Halo fans,
On the other side of the pond. Little good that does you in Denmark, but it’s the thought that counts. ;)
halofolife - November 25, 2010
Not surprising to me that someone with Danish blood is smart enough to be an Angels fan
if he was a Swede, I’d have my doubts (Danish humor)
Moondoggy - November 25, 2010
But what about the brave Dutch sailors?
red floyd - November 26, 2010
Brave? Dunno
but they were smart enough to get hell out of the future home of the MFY

Thankful having a great team that was able to comeback from Nick Adenharts Death.
It still haunts me to this day, it was such a sad time, but such a great season and because of Nick, but also a prayer to the Adenharts who sit down today and still have an open seat waiting for Nick.

I'm thankful
for not being a Dodger fan. I was born in South Gate and it took all the fatherly love imaginable to keep me wearing a halo and the only Angel fan in the neighborhood. Also, I’m so thankful for 2002, this winning decade, this classy organization and all the fans.
Teixeira Who? - November 25, 2010
Thankful
That I got to spend today with family, eating great food & watching football.
Tomorrow, I’ll be thankful for a Husker victory over the Buffs.

An Angel Thanks to Autry, Disney, & Arte
Sitting in the stands on my wedding anniversary with my wife, daughter & brother-in-law watching he Angels play in their 1st World Series game was fantastic. Seeing Percy celebrating after Erstad catches the final out was awesome.
And a big thank you shout-out goes to the Fox morons for dumping Scioscia into our open arms.
To all the memories of 40+ years of following Angels baseball. Enberg & Drysdale, Sparky, Torre, & Rory were all great up in the booth during those years, of great & not-so-great seasons.

Because that feeling of being in that stadium, even after 50 plus times, gives me chills.

I’m thankful that the stadium is right down the road and I dont get the feeling that I’m about to be knifed in the parking lot.
I’m thankful that Chef Salad is signed on to manage this team for the next ba-zillion years because he’s Italian and so am I.
I’m thankful that 2010 season is behind us and we can be happy and encouraged for a better 2011.

Thankful for my family, my friends, and my life. Thankful that the Angels exist and that they have been a great organization through my adolescence and now into twenties. Finally, I am thankful for this community of thoughtful individuals who take time to share their experiences of fanhood and even their personal lives. This site has been great and I thank everyone who continues to maintain this strong blog. Thanks everyone for making my college experience an Angel-filled one.

I'm thankful for....
Being an Angels fan… classiest team ever.
For our owner Arte – we know how much you want to win.
For Scioscia’s leadership – we may not always agree with it but it’s the best.
and lastly – for being one day closer to the start of the 2011 season. Angels turn 50 and so do I. I’m really excited for this season.

Caseys Kiss of Death - November 26, 2010
Wow where to start....
sawx fans to throw peanuts at, lackey not making the playoffs, Tex sucking, our farm system, roasting during an April game instead of a snow out, Napoli being prejudice against the top 4 buttons of his jersey, having an owner that will not accept failure aaaaaaaaaaand my family’s health….had to throw that in there.
