Last June I wrote up an Angels game and within the essay I discussed a drug bust that went down four houses down the street from me. Read that here. So fast forward a year and a half later and the woman who was eventually busted in that police activity, who had her kids taken from her, well she was back in the news Saturday Night.

Suffice it to say, that was not a carjacking.
It was a drug deal gone bad or a revenge killing.

Infinity Q56 in your hood?
Any owner sporting a better ride than an 98 Corolla should be arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs.

My first thought, precisely.

Ditto here. My neighborhood I'm in right now sucks, my wife and I are clean and we drive turn of the century Honda's....
While our drug peddling neighbors drive a newer Lexus. It fits.

I can’t pretend to knwo the innerworkings of fair and unfair within the universe, but it seems sort of like what some may describe as Karma.

The ignorant comments are hilarious..
not that I know much more other than taking Rev’s word for it..but it’s interesting when you get context on this sort of thing and realize that while tragic it’s not exactly “senseless”.
Either way it’s not a black and white good vs. evil sort of thing that people like to frame in their minds when they read such a story. There are perhaps many more layers to it.

Of course there are many more layers to it. As cliche as it is, it's all gray area.
But frankly I’m in the middle of a ridiculously hard paper regarding post WWII economic principles in the United Kingdom that’s due tomorrow and I need a little light reading to relax my brain. The idea of good energy creating a wave of good fortune for me and rightful justice upon others puts my mind at ease.

Im actually working on a very similar project- the civil defense administration after the cold war
and I use england as an example of how civil defense tactics were used to manage the likely hook of russian invasion while mitigating costs. England had a group of people analyze the effects of atomic warfare (since at this point they still didnt have any atomic weapons and the US was unwilling to share) the Strath report that suggested england could be virtually eradicated from the earth with 10 strategically dropped bombs so every home needed a bomb shelter.
Rather than go for that, the english government embarks on a capaign for civil defense- the awesome one that brought pamphlets and movies that suggested all you needed to do to survive an atomic blast was vacuum up the fallout and take a shower (along with painting your home white to ensure it too survived the blast). They then use the 1.4 billion pounds it would have cost to build shelters for the public and start their own nuclear program.
If any of that would help you let me know and I can send you a bunch of great sources.
