Phils lead 1-0, Reds still looking for their first hit while Philly sends their 2nd Roy, Mister Oswald to the mound to face Bronson Arroyo.

That’s pretty nerdy

Brandon Phillips must be a little pissed off.

Don’t really like ‘em, but they’re less annoying than Philly or their fans.

At least this is more like a real ballgame than the pitching perfect extravaganzas so far.
That sounds like the Halos plate discipline.
Might as well watch season 3 of Dexter .
Ed@northridge - October 8, 2010 reply
HMMMMMMMMMMMM
Not by people who actually see how he plays.
That pitch had FAIL written all over it according to Gameday.
By all the same people that think Derek Jeter is a great defensive SS.
K3YEROUT - October 8, 2010 reply
Give them Tony Reagins in exchange.
If it meant getting rid of DOV
LOL
He was a Red Sox fan, so I was cool with it.
I’m not sure really. Most kids just look small, expensive and kind of annoying to me.
Or way too many kids! ;)
Brown signed my program. Now, Desmond Jennings of the Rays? He was a jerk.
I got Conger, Moustakas and Hosmer to sign my ticket. Brown’s objection to this kid was that he just had a blank piece of paper.
Not sure why Jennings skipped me up. Oh Well.
“Cuban Missile”?
maze88 - October 8, 2010 via mobile reply
Then it mentions potential FA signings, like Crawford and Downs. And then they out of nowhere come up with Chris Young(the pitcher) and John Buck.

I really don’t see the point in either of them.
Since when do any of his articles have a point?
Congratulations, Whick!
mattwelch - October 8, 2010 reply
That’s impressive
Is some guy claiming that John Buck is terrible at handling a pitching staff. Actually, John Buck is just terrible, period.
Suboptimal - October 8, 2010 reply
Seems a strange thing to do with the lead.
Teixeira Who? - October 8, 2010 reply
But Arroyo is better at pitching than Kid Rock.
Baseball = cool.
it’s weird coming in here and there only being 60+ posts.

I wasn’t sure if it was a disputed call.
Twins haven’t done anything as embarrassing as that.

Let's Go Baseball!
44FAN - October 8, 2010
Oswalt calls his change up a "vulcan" change up because of how he holds it
That’s pretty nerdy
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
No no-hitter for Oswalt
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
HA!
Brandon Phillips must be a little pissed off.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
Umm, how was that a ball
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
I'm a fan of Corky Miller's facial hair
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
Go Reds!
Don’t really like ‘em, but they’re less annoying than Philly or their fans.
halofolife - October 8, 2010
Hey look, it's Jax Teller on the mound!
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
Oswalt having a case of the kazmirs.
44FAN - October 8, 2010
And Utley having a case of the Aybars
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
May the best team win this game
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
May the team who scores more runs than the other team in his particular game win
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
May the team that scores more runs have a 'R' on their caps
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
OK that was dumb, make that a 'C'
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
Man, those swings aren't even close to the ball.
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
Hack, hack, hack
At least this is more like a real ballgame than the pitching perfect extravaganzas so far.
44FAN - October 8, 2010
Hack, hack hack.....
That sounds like the Halos plate discipline.
halofolife - October 8, 2010
hack, hacker, Hatcher
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
No hack there.
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
post season without our beloved LAA really sucks.......
Might as well watch season 3 of Dexter .
Ed@northridge - October 8, 2010
BTW who would Dexter eliminate from the 2010 LAA ?
HMMMMMMMMMMMM
Ed@northridge - October 8, 2010
Huge Double play
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
Is Rollins still considered a good baseball player?
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
By casual fans, yes
Not by people who actually see how he plays.
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
That's what I thought
That pitch had FAIL written all over it according to Gameday.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
He's also considered good by the TBS announcers
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
Rollins is considered good
By all the same people that think Derek Jeter is a great defensive SS.
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
Is Brandon Phillips going to be available?
44FAN - October 8, 2010
No, but I'm pretty sure his little bro is around our minors somewhere... ;)
K3YEROUT - October 8, 2010
Trade for him
Give them Tony Reagins in exchange.
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
That would really be shorting them
angelslogic - October 8, 2010
I was thinking we could give them DOV
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
I'd accept a much worse player than Phillips
If it meant getting rid of DOV
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
As far as I know he is single, yes
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
LOL
K3YEROUT - October 8, 2010
This guy (Brown) denied a kid an autograph right in front of me at the Futures Game
He was a Red Sox fan, so I was cool with it.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
Roughly how old was the kid?
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
Maybe like 9 or 10
I’m not sure really. Most kids just look small, expensive and kind of annoying to me.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
Spoken like a man without kids.
Or way too many kids! ;)
halofolife - October 8, 2010
I was much luckier
Brown signed my program. Now, Desmond Jennings of the Rays? He was a jerk.
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
Really?
I got Conger, Moustakas and Hosmer to sign my ticket. Brown’s objection to this kid was that he just had a blank piece of paper.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
I also got Conger's as well as ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews
Not sure why Jennings skipped me up. Oh Well.
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
Good defense Reds
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
Lacky would have fallen down and given up a slam by now.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
*Lackey
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
Wheres the
“Cuban Missile”?
maze88 - October 8, 2010 via mobile
Reds imploding right now
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
They should let Arroyo go one more and then just hand it to Chapman.
Commander_Nate - October 8, 2010
So the OC Register has this "14 Reasons to Hope" article and it mentions the starting rotation and some other players as well as a few prospects.
Then it mentions potential FA signings, like Crawford and Downs. And then they out of nowhere come up with Chris Young(the pitcher) and John Buck.
http://www.ocregister.com/sports/angels-269985-way-reasons.html
I really don’t see the point in either of them.
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
A Mark Whicker classic
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
It's by Mark Whicker,
Since when do any of his articles have a point?
halofolife - October 8, 2010
John Buck is an even worse idea than David Eckstein
Congratulations, Whick!
mattwelch - October 8, 2010
Wow, Buck has more HRs, 20, than walks, 16.
That’s impressive
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
I like how the one comment about this article on the OCR site
Is some guy claiming that John Buck is terrible at handling a pitching staff. Actually, John Buck is just terrible, period.
Suboptimal - October 8, 2010
Hey, why did they pinch-hit for O-Cab?
Seems a strange thing to do with the lead.
mattwelch - October 8, 2010
He hurt his oblique
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010

Suboptimal - October 8, 2010

Teixeira Who? - October 8, 2010
They have both released shitty albums
But Arroyo is better at pitching than Kid Rock.
Suboptimal - October 8, 2010
Reds trying their best not to win

angelsfan7 - October 8, 2010
Gracias.
I wasn’t sure if it was a disputed call.
halofolife - October 8, 2010
the reds let the phillies back in this game....
angelsfan7 - October 8, 2010
Brandon Phillips' glove isn't where his mouth is tonight
Suboptimal - October 8, 2010
yikes Chapman only goes 2/3
angelsfan7 - October 8, 2010
Just a guess, but I think the Phillies were sitting on the fastball
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
HEY.... that's our music for the monkey....
angelsfan7 - October 8, 2010
C'mon Reds, get it together.
halofolife - October 8, 2010
Bigger Chokers in this postseason thus far: Twins or Reds?
ryanfea - October 8, 2010
Reds. No-hit and then they've handed the Phillies a bunch of runs after taking the lead tonight.
Twins haven’t done anything as embarrassing as that.
~MMP~ - October 8, 2010
Giants are wearing Orange tonight
angelsfan7 - October 8, 2010
Nice job Posey and Sandoval
