This years version of PGP was certainly "interesting" compared to last years format

Proud of my top 10 finishes in both “halves” of the season for this year.

Perhaps a way to blend both PGP formats? 4 questions, similar to the 2009 version, but with each question worth 1, 2 ,3 and 4 pts respectively. Hit for the cycle!

Thank you Scottnak--I for one very much enjoyed the format

But then I kicked butt. Not that I am counting but I believe if you combine the first and second half, I took the triple crown with most correct picks—57 (stuck in Romania second with 56), best accuracy—.401 (stuck was second with .391) and total points—685,985,000 (I think bc56274 is still in second with 289,294,715 even though he only played twice in the second half.)

I believe 44fan owes me an apology when he called me a one hit wonder the first half. :)

I will apologize if you apologize for saying I bet like a girl.

I won’t even mention how some of you people were only picking and choosing the “easy” questions to bet big on and rarely taking a chance on the more difficult questions. Good strategy to game the game I guess. Downing Rules is my hero for going all in and losing toward the end, so I consider him the real winner.

Is the main weakness of the current format.

But in Halo84653’s case, he played it well and played enough games to qualify for accuracy. Hats off to him for that.

Just to be clear, I was in second place a week ago and bet very big to come back--and I did play 142 games.

Part of the problem was that in cases where the pick was 50/50, the odds should have been even and in those cases where getting the right pick was a long shot, the odds should have been much higher. IMO

Hey thanks!

That was my one shot for the top spot after FLOUNDERING through 7/8’s of the season! This thing was tough at first, but it all came together for me at the end up til game 161. Those doubles just didn’t pan out. ;)

1st in correct picks and 3rd for points.

I struggled the second half but came on strong at the end…Not bad. The game proved to be pretty consistent over both halves. Congrats to halo84653 for dominating the whole season.

I loved the format with the slight exception...

that I’m blocked at work. It thinks it’s a gambling site. Technically true but no real money ever changes hands (right?). I would like for there to be a way that with the games that are away and start before 6pm or day games that a sight wouldn’t be blocked. If it’s not possible I understand and will just do what I can.
