Despite a down season on the field, connecting with this community every day has been great.
Your enjoyment of a dynamic place to immerse yourself in your fandom of the Angels is the goal of myself and the editorial team we've assembled on your behalf.
I especially want to thank WiHalofan for his morning links and deep dedication to Mutecasts and other site editorial, Scottnak for his tabulations and for bringing a hot chick to the stadium meetup in May, FOXPAW for programming our awesome pregame casino, RGHAN for his great minor league coverage, mattwelch for his illuminating lucidity and affable demeanor in this moshpit of the written word, Suboptimal for great posts that have enlightened our enjoyment of the game and misery of Jeff Mathis, Rallymonkey5 (aka Chone Smith) for summarizing players in two sentences better than a thousand word profile in traditional sports journalism ever would, and to my two best baseball buddies ever, cupie and yeswecan, friends in good times and in lousy seasons like this one. When they raise another flag one day, bullshit like 2010 will make that friggin' flag flyin' all the more fantastic!
To all of our posters, lurkers and surfers, the Angels offseason will happen here, so tune in now and again.
And congratulations are in order to the Texas Rangers and their long-suffering fans on winning the American League West. The Rangers may be starting a dynasty and winning will get old and the bandwagon yokels will bug you or Arlington may be enjoying their only division title in a generation. In my fandom, I've waited patiently for 16 years between postseason appearances and cheered just as loud when the titles came back to back, so even though it never gets old, please be sure to live it up and enjoy every moment of it. There are no guarantees in life, but next to love, nothing beats winning, not a fucking thing.
Go Angels!

It's been real...
Next year we unleash the caged Panther.
P.S. Fuck Juan Rivera!

Well said.
You have had a great supporting cast this year, Rev. Good job to all on making Halosheaven a great place to hang out and talk Angels. THANK YOU!
Downing Rules - October 3, 2010
Shitty season, but the best site on the web to share our miseries.
Rev, and everyone else that makes this site enjoyable, thank you for your tireless effort, and hopefully next season will make us forget this dreadful one.
bc56274 - October 3, 2010
The first two times I read it I thought you said "mopshit"
I am all about the mopshit of the written word.
This site tripled in improvement and diversity and scope this year. Bravo all around.
mattwelch - October 3, 2010
Yep, thanks to everyone who help make Halos Heaven
The best Angels Fan Site on Earth.

Thanks, now I have that stupid song stuck in my head...
…and I hate the Bangles (their best song is “Cherry Bomb”).
As Harold Schwarzenegger said in the move The Terminated “I’ll return”.
And so will the Angels.
WiHaloFan - October 3, 2010
Well it's a good thing that the song isn't from the Bangles, then... It's by the Go-Gos.
red floyd - October 3, 2010
Vacation is by the Go-Gos ...
at least that version of Vacation.
But Cherry Bomb is by the Runaways …. I don’t think the Bangles (or Go-Gos) remade it, although Mickey Steele went to [formed] the Bangles.
Barca - October 3, 2010
I was talking about Vacation
red floyd - October 3, 2010
The Bangles...
My wife doesn’t read this site – I’ve got two words for you: Susanna Hoffs. I may be old but I’m not dead. Much more interesting that Jeff Mathis…
johnnyangel101 - October 4, 2010
Wow, you guys are EASY!
There’s also no movie called The Terminated starring Harold Schwarzenneger in which he says “I’ll return”
WiHaloFan - October 4, 2010
Easy... but never cheap
red floyd - October 4, 2010
HH is the best!
ladybug - October 3, 2010
And everyone was said i would not make it through the first losing streak
i lasted this whole season. Next season will have a another baby to see another angels win
DAD OF VLAD - October 3, 2010
You should find other things to do during the season next year..........
instead of making another child when you’re P’O’ed at the team.
norcaliangelsfan - October 3, 2010
From one of the newbies on the blog
Thanks, I enjoyed it.
angelslogic - October 3, 2010
Ditto from this newbie, too!
Thanks for making the Angels fun again.
Angelsfan015 - October 4, 2010
Bad year for the Angels, but HHers did their job.
Halowood - October 3, 2010
This sounds like Gubi-baiting
to me.
blast21dave - October 3, 2010
We stayed within our mechanics,
that’s for sure.
cath619 - October 3, 2010
This season is (NOT) going to change our eye-level
The FO has to get in there and make the adjustment
blast21dave - October 3, 2010
But what about Dean Chance?
red floyd - October 3, 2010
If you don't stay within your mechanics
you surely will not succeed. (see Dean Chance for success staying within HIS mechanics!)
Angelsfan015 - October 4, 2010
Did we transform?
;)
Downing Rules - October 3, 2010
First full season on here
and it’s been a lot of fun with a slightly different game of PGP.
Hopefully there’s plans for a couple Halos Heaven meetups at the Big A in 2011! I wouldn’t mind volunteering as the Panther Photog for the event.
blast21dave - October 3, 2010
Thanks for administering this avenue to
vent, cheer, and debate. I will certainly be more active now that I have obtained a new desk job (bitter sweet). Good luck Rays…may your attendance surpass 50,000 for the entire offseason. Hopin for a Bronx beatdown in the ALCS and lackluster showing by tex.
autry's cowboys - October 3, 2010
This season has been rough but
I’ve enjoyed reading the posts & chiming in on Halos Heaven. The game that HH attended was one of my favorites from this season, because I got to meet a bunch of you and we kicked the A’s asses that day. Glad this years over. Hopefully we add some arms and bats and the coaches teach some defense. The future is promising.
Anaheim71420 - October 3, 2010 via mobile
Thanks to all for a great season here at HH.
Looking forward to the offseason……….and spring 2011.
norcaliangelsfan - October 3, 2010
HH just gets better and better each year
Thanks Rev and all!
tanana40 - October 3, 2010
I thoroughly enjoyed everyone and everything on this site this season.
I’ve surfed this site in season’s past, but had never been brave enough to dive in. I am so glad that I did this season. Thanks to everyone who suffered along with me this season. In honor of one of our favorite little brother’s on this site:
Halosheavenrocks10!
sheisalovelyladyandmyapologiestoher - October 3, 2010
haha, nice.
he must have midterms coming up. :P
cath619 - October 3, 2010
I want to thank an improving economy,
without which I would have had more time on my hands to spend here in HH, forcing me to endure a season of phenomenal suckage far too frequently for my diovan to overcome. If it wern’t for HH, I probably would have tried to run over somebody’s cat. So PETA thanks you, too.
Stirrups - October 3, 2010
Here Here...
… Shaka and Mahalos to all the contributing writers of Halos Heaven. Extra special thanks to WiHalofan for the daily Halo Links.
It was a lousy season for the Halos but I really great for me fantasy baseball wise. I got 2nd place in 2 different leagues with over $600 in winnings. Dan Harens win today was also extremely clutch for me in one of the leagues and it was great to celebrate my win along with a Halo win to end the season.
Lots of work in store for the front office and I’ll look forward to discussing all activity (or nonactivity) this offseason. Twinkies all the way please. Aloha!

I wonder if some modern day deTocqueville...
..is once again taking the measure of “Democracy in America”. If so, there is probably no better place to observe than here, this cross road between baseball and the internet.
There are so many thoughtful discussions over any given period of time. It is really a joy to be part of this place. It is frequently the last website I visit in the evening, and the first I visit in the morning. I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of Halos Heaven, to participate in the discussions. My knowledge of baseball and a whole range of off-topic issues has been expanded by this website.
Thanks to all, with special thanks to RevHalofan, WiHaloFan, Suboptimal, Scottnak, and rghan. You give me something to look forward to each day. And who knows? In 150 years, some future civilization may be studying this website as evidence of the character of this society as documented by that modern day deTocqueville.
sothball - October 3, 2010
Many thanks to Rev, WiHalo, Suboptimal and all the rest!
Now it’s time to stare out the window and wait for spring.
red floyd - October 3, 2010
your welcome
DAD OF VLAD - October 3, 2010
What about his welcome? Is their something wrong with Red's welcome?
I keed.
Have a good offseason DOV.
sheisalovelyladyandmyapologiestoher - October 3, 2010
Thank you, you beat me to it.
red floyd - October 3, 2010
Thanks to all involved!
It’s a great place to come rant, cheer or cry. Hopefully there’s a bit more to celebrate with the Mathis, Rivera, and Weird Beard free halos 2011 version.
grahams98 - October 4, 2010
No mathis next year would be a premium change for sure!
In the right direction, of course!
Angelsfan015 - October 4, 2010
