Seeing as former Angel Bengie Molina just hit the biggest homerun in the history of the Texas Rangers franchise, let's examine what the mouthbreathing, cocaine-to-kids, steers-n-fears SenatorsRangers fanbase thought of the July 1 trade that brought over Bengie Molina to their squad for a handful of prospects.
On a scale of 0-10, 63% of Rangers fans knew squat about baseball and rated the trade 0-4. Turdchewers, every last one of 'em, and if you don't believe so, read the poll's comments at that link above, Holy hell you would think that Bengie Molina was Gary Matthews Junior what with all the hate. Well tonight those haters are forgetful and are sittin' pretty and loving the Senior-Molina and celebrating the only hit in their franchise's history that has ever really mattered... but we here all know that it was a TOP 100 ANGEL that is now also as important a Ranger as there ever has been.

I hate the fact that former-Angels are helping
THAT team go to the WS. I find it equally depressing that Vlad’s first world series appearance will be with the f*cking Rangers.
I guess I can hope that NY wins the next three games, but Cliff Lee still has one more start.
AndyHogan14 - October 19, 2010
I can't blame them for not liking the trade at the time.
Bengie was doing very little for the Giants at the time(he actually ended up doing less for the Rangers during the regular season), and they gave up a pretty decent prospect for him.

There is no comfort in seeing former angels rake with the Rangers.
It actually makes it worse.
This season is pure shit. There is no hope. The end is nigh.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
What about the two Darrens?
Oliver and O’Day. The former pitched out of a bases loaded jam with the potential tying run at the plate. ERAs high in postseason, but 2.48 and 2.03 in the regular season to get them to this point.
VPBOB - October 19, 2010
Bewitched?
two Darrens

The only silver lining to Texas dominating is this.
At least Justin Speier and Steve Finley aren’t helping their cause. That would truly suck.
halofolife - October 19, 2010
Jeff Weaver becoming ace-like after we traded him was.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
You had to bring him up didn't you Chuck! ;)
halofolife - October 19, 2010
at least we got Terry Evans :D

I LOVE THIS SERIES!
Too bad hindsight is 20/20 and the most enjoyable players to root for are on other teams now, but it doesn’t mean it can’t feel good rooting for them.
The worst (or best?) part is that except for that comical collapse in game 1 which in theory would send most teams emotionally packing, the Rangers would have swept the Yankees by now!
No one, including the most ardent Texas fans could or would have predicted that.
It also means that for the near future (we all know this anyway), we’re now going to be someone elses bitch in the AL West most likely.
Oh I hope it plays out differently but we’ll be having the same conversations next year… This offseason can’t cure the illness the Angels have. Only time and some incredible farm/talent development will.
That said, I rather the AL West represent than not, and it will put that much more pressure on the front office to act or just be an afterthought moving forward.
(((ok this is going to hurt real bad but…))) GO RANGERS!
(could anyone here actually type GO YANKEES and hit return?)
Now I hope the West coast represents completely with SF winning it all…

^ this here ^

Texas is not the West Coast
It hurts me to type Go Yankees, but I hate the Rangers MUCH more. I can’t physically type Go R*****s and press return. As for the Angels, they will be back on top (of the AL West) next year, mark my words. Texas is a one hit wonder.
AndyHogan14 - October 20, 2010
SF = West Coast, Texas = AL West representation
ReadingComprehensionFTW!
RedFog - October 20, 2010
Texas should be in the Central geographically like their NL rival the Astros
And whenever another team moves to the west or the AL expands, the Rangers will be the first team re-aligned. They’ll get no neighborly love from me.
I actually take pride in being a Californian. Screw everyone who moans about staying up past their bedtime to watch us. They’re just jealous because they know that if we lose, we still have the Pacific Ocean, mountains and hot chicks. They’re stuck with snow and sand fleas.
Go Giants! California uber alles!
Commander_Nate - October 20, 2010
Texas is a one hit wonder?
Texas is here to stay, whether that’d be on top of the AL West remains to be seen.
SenorChuckles - October 20, 2010
No doubt, but they only won 3 more games than last year
It’s not like they came out of nowhere. This is with a half-season of Cliff Lee as well and they still have to actually retain his services for next year and beyond. We stumbled more than they took us down.
If rumors of this new TV deal for the Angels are true and Arte is as upset as he says he is, things will get fixed real quick. I’m of the opinion that we could do a lot of addition by subtraction as well, which doesn’t require the involvement of another team.
In 2011, I would not be surprised at all to see a TEX-LAA ALCS like I was hoping for this year.
Commander_Nate - October 20, 2010
I think Hamilton being hurt came into play.
I’m more afraid of seeing their prospects fetch ‘em a difference maker like this year. What an ALCS that’d be.
SenorChuckles - October 20, 2010
I have no problem pulling for the Rangers in the World Series.
I hope they make it…………. over the Yankees.
After that, I really don’t care.
wumbug - October 20, 2010
There aren't many things I like more than...
Watching the Yankees get pounded!!!
SD_AngelsFan#27 - October 20, 2010
Molina
He became a non-entity in San Francisco because his fat ass blocked the next great hope in Buster Posey.
Coming through in the clutch for the Rangers, I think he summed up his night against the Yankees with this quote.
“It’s not bad for a fat kid that everyone makes fun of when he runs.”
BBFan1 - October 19, 2010
That quote is lovely.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I am very happy for Bengie
but it pains me to see him in a Ranger uniform.
Letting him go was a mistake for which we are still paying.
rspencer - October 20, 2010
I can be happy for the Rangers....especially if it
really makes Arte go “all in” to improve the Halos knowing that he has to first beat the Rangers before getting to the play-offs
mustard_man - October 20, 2010
Happy for the Rangers
I am. Forget the Yankees. You have four guys who were Angels for years, and while I’ll always be a bit miffed that Vlad came back to play so well in his favorite ballpark, I’m happy for him, as well as O’Day, Oliver, and Molina.
Kernel - October 20, 2010
I hate the Yankees
Vlad, Bengie, Darren1, Darren2 makes it that much sweeter. Fuck them and fuck hair gel.

Match Day 5 - October 20, 2010
Might just be their year
at least if the Rangers are beating a team to make the world series, it’s the Yankees
GoHalosGo - October 20, 2010
Letting Bengie go after 2005 easily one of the biggest mistakes of the last 10 years.
Angelsrthebest101 - October 20, 2010
Jose is reading this thinking
“what about me???”
2pintsofbooze - October 20, 2010
I WOULD take Bengi Molina over Napoli and Mathis anytime .....
