I absolutely will never say Go Ya... Go Yank.... err... what you said...
But I agree that Yankees/Giants would be a good World Series. I want the Giants to win it all, and I don’t care who they face out of the AL, but I think the Giants Fans will enjoy it more against the Yankees.
encountered any obnoxious Yankee fans at the big A. They have always been polite, respectful of the home team and just liked talking about baseball. As for the Red Sox and Dodgers, their fans are annoying as hell.
are probably the most annoying. I say bcuz they don’t know squat about baseball and “their” team. I once shut my co-worker’s boyfriend up by confusing the hell outta him. I always wear my on field cap and whenever he sees me he yell ANGELS SUCK! A couple of days later I decided to wear my ‘61 Cooperstown cap and he didn’t know WTH it was. Lol Just don’t tell them that the Dodgers are from Brooklyn.
"Cliff Lee and CC Sabathia were convinced they were about to become teammates again.
How much? THEIR WIVES WERE ALREADY TALKING ABOUT PLACES TO LIVE IN NEW YORK."
(I added the shouting.)
Think about it Angel fans!
Recall the power of Mrs. Teixeira and Mrs. Lackey during free agent negotiations. ;-)
Now mull over:
Mega free agent cash + New York City shopping for Mrs. Lee
It’s over. Done. Other teams need not even bid.
He’ll sign with the Yankees.
That rendition of God Bless America was much better than yesterday's...
which reminded of, and I just played for my daughter, Rosanne Barr’s disgraceful rendition of the National Anthem twenty years ago at San Diego. My guess is the guy that booked her was fired.
This game and series are over. Of course this means Hank Steinbrenner will probably sign every FA available, Crawford, Lee, Beltre, Dunn, the ghost of Ty Cobb….
…but I am so glad the Yanks are losing. It’s not enough that they had afford any player they want. To beat them, you also have to beat the controversial calls by umpires…and listen to “impartial” broadcasters that sure sound like Yankee homers.
bank on them signing Lee, Crawford, Werth, Beltre and every other free agent out there. shit, they’ll be paying guys not to play for other teams just to make sure they have all the talent under contract.
Cashman is getting it all in order as I’m typing this.
I'd like to argue that the Yanks losing to Tex is the best it can get...
The Yanks losing to the Angels is a blow, but can be rationalized easier by Yankee fans (since the Angels are always handful for the Yanks).
The Yanks getting embarrassed by a AL West team however that hasn’t been the post-season in over ten years (and from Texas!) is a new low for the Pinstripes. Yanks fans heads are exploding for sure.
Girardi in the post-game said that U-Haul will gone for the remainder of this series, and to which he then optimistically added "means he won’t be available for the following series either" What series would that be Joe? Spring Training?
hello
hello, hello…….

I believe so. It was certainly close, but I don't get how they didn't check it out

Quad Fin Rider - October 19, 2010
Most excellent.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
hahahahaha
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Awesome
blast21dave - October 19, 2010
I'm glad they remember the pain
We inflicted upon them
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
That rendition of God Bless America was much better than yesterday's...
which reminded of, and I just played for my daughter, Rosanne Barr’s disgraceful rendition of the National Anthem twenty years ago at San Diego. My guess is the guy that booked her was fired.
angelslogic - October 19, 2010
I doubt he was fired...
she was “family” and that’s what happens when you let “family” who can’t sing try to sing.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Like yesterday.
angelslogic - October 19, 2010
So the Yankees have to beat Cliff Lee to advance, if they even make it that far. Good luck with that guys
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
I dont know what everyone is happy about.
Do you realize how much more of an asshole bunch the ranger fans will be next year?
They never one a thing and they were pretty close to being the worst thing in sports.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
(won)
clover_black - October 19, 2010
That will make it all the more fun when we take the season series.
angelslogic - October 19, 2010
but if they get killed by the Giants - that will be sweet.
There is no way I can even want the skankees to advance.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
This ranger team is going to win the WS.
their bats are on fire and their SP will continue to deal.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
They won't beat the Giants.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
They'll smash the giants.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
You'd overlook the Giants pitching?
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I think these bats are too hot
and the giants offense is too impotent.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
Those Giants are scrappy fuckers, that’s for sure.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I hope im wrong.
But for some reason, jesus hates me this year.
And the rangers will win, and i’ll be F’n miserable.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
you and me both.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I agree - Texas wins, although by then I'm switching to rooting for the Giants.
angelslogic - October 19, 2010
Yep, as much as I hate the Yankees, I hate the Rangers even more.
it’s really a lesser of two evils thing though, when the World Series starts, I’m rooting for the NL.
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
for me - I hate the yankees more.
But I too will be rooting for the NL in the WS.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Damn I Hate the Rangers
How in the hell can they win.
lifegrind - October 19, 2010 via mobile
anyone can have a good "year". We'll see what happens whey they don't have Lee.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
seriously TBS you really think Molina is going to steal 2nd?
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
ohhh please it was Molina running - cano didn't do anything impressive on that play
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
I wanted to blow my head off listening to joe morgan earlier today
clover_black - October 19, 2010
You listened to him on purpose?
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
hah.
on the drive home from work.
Him and miller argued for 5 minutes about the cano home run. It was possibly the most awful announcing ive ever heard.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
I think it just gets worse when you have to listen to Joe Buck.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
at least buck isnt announced as Hall Of Famer Joe Buck
after every god damn commercial break.
clover_black - October 19, 2010
Did they really just say Cano should win the Gold Glove????
http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3269&position=2B
TBS you suck
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
yes they did - and they said it on a play involving Molina... hahahahah
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
I could have been driven to the airport, landed in NY,
Gotten a taxi to Yankee stadium, ran out onto the field, tackled and arrested before Molina made it to 2nd base on that play.
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
LOL
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
But did you see that jump throw???
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
He batted .319 and plays alongside the Jeett
Eventually the press will notice his totally awesomeness. And this is the post season that clinches his award.
eyespy - October 19, 2010
Mass exodus if the yankees don't score in this inning.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
How about a
Grand salami time for the leaders in comebacks this year?…
maze88 - October 19, 2010 via mobile
Spotted over NY and then Texas?
’splain this if you can…
3rd Echelon - October 19, 2010
photoshop
eyespy - October 19, 2010
Stan Fullham predicted that.
Very interesting that he got it right.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
Clouds of intestinal gas
sit next to Benjie & CC at a Hometown Buffet if you want to see more
Quad Fin Rider - October 19, 2010
ew
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
On ballon theory...
linky
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I see your balloon theory..
and raise you 20.
3rd Echelon - October 19, 2010
good shit.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
oh my gosh
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
You'd think He's learn from game 1. U suck Ron Washington.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Come on Swisher
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
Darren Oliver give up a dinger here?
44FAN - October 19, 2010
Please and thank you
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
I wonder if TBS gives him a bonus for every pitching change (more commercials).
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
if by "bonus" you mean cocain
then yes
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
walking the bases loaded. What a joke.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
sounds like Angels baseball
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
that's why we need pitchers who don 't walk guys. our BB/9 this season was horrific.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Darren Oliver again huh...
scottnak - October 19, 2010
this could get ugly
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Does the Texas bullpen do anything other than shit the bed?
linkbruin - October 19, 2010
a F-Rodney moment would be nice right about now
Quad Fin Rider - October 19, 2010
Looked to me like it did hit Swisher
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
he needs to take lessons from Jeter to sell it
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
I think if it did hit Swisher he would have raised more of a fuss
linkbruin - October 19, 2010
definitely ruffled the pant leg
scottnak - October 19, 2010
Berkman: next Yank hero?
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Nope
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
In Russia dog polices you.
video link, sorry for the abused failblog Russia joke.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
WOW
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Wow
I miss Olly
linkbruin - October 19, 2010
wow nice play there.
scottnak - October 19, 2010
If he had done that in game 1, this would be a sweep.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Yah VLADDY!!!
4 hits tonight.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Yankee Stadium is cleared out now.
44FAN - October 19, 2010
I hope to God Texas loses in the WS...
if they win we’re never going to hear the end of it.
Nashdiesel - October 19, 2010
Yanks getting Killed!
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
This is turning into a LAUGHTER
WINGS
eyespy - October 19, 2010
Ryan yucking it up
eyespy - October 19, 2010
bahahahahahahahahahahaha
scottnak - October 19, 2010
Oh, I thought Yank fans were supposed to be "true fans?"
3rd Echelon - October 19, 2010
Ryan is loving this
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
What up y'all?
This game and series are over. Of course this means Hank Steinbrenner will probably sign every FA available, Crawford, Lee, Beltre, Dunn, the ghost of Ty Cobb….
halofolife - October 19, 2010
All of the long rediculous contracts will eventually bite them in the ass big time
ryanfea - October 19, 2010
One can only hope.
And i’m still torn about this game, I don’t like either team. And Texas fans will become insufferable.
halofolife - October 19, 2010
I'm praying for a NL victory no matter who it is....
Nashdiesel - October 19, 2010
I was really hoping for some sort of loophole where both teams could lose the ALCS
~MMP~ - October 19, 2010
I searched for one too...
didn’t find it. I’ll be rooting for the NL in the World Series.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Same here. Go Philly/San Fran!
halofolife - October 19, 2010
the look on their faces is AWESOME
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
So my question of the night is:
Where the hell were these crappy Yankees last year?
maze88 - October 19, 2010 via mobile
#1 We didnt have Cliff Lee, #2, they have a much better hitting lineup
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
they umpires were helping them last year
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
^^ this, I almost forgot about this.
This is #1 actually.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
And we didn't help ourselves last ALCS,
When the entire team forget how to hit and play defense.
halofolife - October 19, 2010
and all this just in time before our big World Series return.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
I'm no fan of the Rangers...
…but I am so glad the Yanks are losing. It’s not enough that they had afford any player they want. To beat them, you also have to beat the controversial calls by umpires…and listen to “impartial” broadcasters that sure sound like Yankee homers.
Screw ’em all.
sothball - October 19, 2010
totally, they just said that Rivera is better than Lee. uh right.
Wally's World - October 19, 2010
Wow. Cheking in.
Halos are kicking Yankee ass once again.
7 for 9,
3 runs scored,
3 runs batted in,
11 total bases,
plus 2 pitchers holding done NY in relief.
Hats off to the Los Angeles Angels of Arlington.
Stirrups - October 19, 2010
Sadly reminiscent of the 2006 Los Angeles Angels of St. Louis
Quad Fin Rider - October 19, 2010
So true.
Kindofa nice legacy, though…
Stirrups - October 19, 2010
Jeter Christ Superstar,
Not looking so super this ALCS.
halofolife - October 19, 2010
Ruh-Roh, NY threatening
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
texas 1 away now...
scottnak - October 19, 2010
if/when Yanks lose
bank on them signing Lee, Crawford, Werth, Beltre and every other free agent out there. shit, they’ll be paying guys not to play for other teams just to make sure they have all the talent under contract.
Cashman is getting it all in order as I’m typing this.
2pintsofbooze - October 19, 2010
Yep, totally agree.
They might even try to talk Bernie Williams out of retirement. ;)
halofolife - October 19, 2010
this should have been a sweep.
PasadenaBruin - October 19, 2010
The residents of the Bronx aren't going to be happy tonight.
They’ll be lighting tire fires and overturning cars. Of course this would probably be happening any normal day of the week there….
halofolife - October 19, 2010
it'll be like
the streets of LA when the Lakers win a championship
2pintsofbooze - October 19, 2010
Hey, we just overturn cars and break windows.
Tire fires are below our revelry!
halofolife - October 19, 2010
don't forget setting the cab on fire.
angelsfan7 - October 19, 2010
Technically it's not a tire fire angelsfan7. ;)
halofolife - October 19, 2010
true
we do it to celebrate and party, they do it because they are sore losers. pathetic
2pintsofbooze - October 19, 2010
That's right 2pints,
We start fires and act unruly out of love. They start fires and loot because they’re douche bags!
halofolife - October 19, 2010
it's still going 7 games
then Lee cements his place in history, by wearing a yankee cap as he no hits them to take texas to the world series
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 19, 2010
I'd like to argue that the Yanks losing to Tex is the best it can get...
The Yanks losing to the Angels is a blow, but can be rationalized easier by Yankee fans (since the Angels are always handful for the Yanks).
The Yanks getting embarrassed by a AL West team however that hasn’t been the post-season in over ten years (and from Texas!) is a new low for the Pinstripes. Yanks fans heads are exploding for sure.
3rd Echelon - October 19, 2010
The U-Haul is totaled
Girardi in the post-game said that U-Haul will gone for the remainder of this series, and to which he then optimistically added "means he won’t be available for the following series either" What series would that be Joe? Spring Training?
Quad Fin Rider - October 19, 2010
Nah, they play for third place, now.
So they’ll play the phillies around the time Texas vs Giants World Series begins.
SenorChuckles - October 19, 2010
Good postseason so far
ESPN’s east coast children are both down. Two west teams are up
Good
Halos2011champs - October 19, 2010 via mobile
Oh the humanity!
Two West Coast teams are up in their series against the east. Heads are currently exploding in Bristol and NY.
