I got a lot done the past four days and I realize that if the Angels had been in the postseason I would not have gotten any of it done and I would be a miserable wreck and stressed even of we were up 2 games to none over any team.
And yet, I still wish we were there. Cliff L @ Andy P • First Pitch 5:07 PM...

andrus out
he made the mistake of looking into the fierce eyes of a great competitor like Pettite.
another mistake to avoid with Pettite, never tell him a secret or do anything wrong in front of him. Even if he partakes in the bad act, he will rat you out.
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 18, 2010
tbs > fox
for one simple reason
constant pitch tracker.
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 18, 2010
Joe Buck, Tim McCarver
ryanfea - October 18, 2010
are the other reasons TBS>Fox
not that these guys are that great, but it is still a huge upgrade
ryanfea - October 18, 2010
I wonder how many calls
will go in Andy “the ancient one” Pettite’s favor?
blast21dave - October 18, 2010
not too many
wait until you see the zone cliff lee gets
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 18, 2010
Yanks throw the game
just to make Cliff Lee look like the yankee killah of 2009?
blast21dave - October 18, 2010
2-0
angelsownredsux - October 18, 2010
whats the deal with texas jumpin out with early leads.
clover_black - October 18, 2010
Cliff Lee
threatens to leave the team unless they score early. Even in games where he’s not pitching
blast21dave - October 18, 2010
Wow, someone actually complained about the amount of rosin on Lee's hat? That seems really silly
~MMP~ - October 18, 2010
Lee is simply incredible and owns the postseason (so far)
He will soon own the city of NY like Lebron could never do if he had gone there…
Soon™
I fear the Rangers will own the AL West as well for some time to come…
RedFog - October 18, 2010
Why would they own the west?
They did no better this year than last year. We just did much worse. A few free agents and kendry will easily make up for the wins we needed to take the west
Halos2011champs - October 18, 2010 via mobile
Well, it's not as much as I have great confidence in the Rangers
(but I do :P) as I have little confidence in our current team and even less that the offseason is going to make any difference – if any.
RedFog - October 18, 2010
I have faith that we will get something done
And if the rangers lose lee, which honestly they might, things might be very interesting
Halos2011champs - October 18, 2010 via mobile
that was close
angelsfan7 - October 18, 2010
That spoiled EJ's manlove for Brett Gardner's hustle
Suboptimal - October 18, 2010
He still have his Cliff Lee manlove to fall back on
~MMP~ - October 18, 2010

~MMP~ - October 18, 2010
So in the history of baseball playoffs (since forever)...
Only 7 times has a pitcher had at least 10 strikeouts and 0 walks.
Lee incredibly owns 4 of those. And is on pace to easily notch another. In-fucking-credible playoff pitcher. If there was ever money in the bank, right now it’s him.
Is it too early to talk about a perfect game? Ha! Of course, except with Lee, it’s at about 50/50 on the money line.
RedFog - October 18, 2010
Looks like it was too early
But Lee is already up to 65 pitches. He won’t be going 9 unless he quits with the striking-guys-out routine.
Suboptimal - October 18, 2010

Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 18, 2010

Yanks on the verge of being down 3-1 in the series
XYZ123 - October 18, 2010
huh?
ryanfea - October 18, 2010
With Carol Burnett as the Yanks Game 4 starter
That’s as good as a loss.
XYZ123 - October 18, 2010
oh I see
And I agree.
ryanfea - October 18, 2010
So technically...
…if they held on to game 1 (still scratching my head on that one), hold on to this one, and do what you say…
They could have swept the Yankees?
((does math))
0% of people in the world predicted that. I’m scared ;) Of course they lost game 1, have not won this one, and have not started game 4…
RedFog - October 18, 2010
Does that mean Jorge Lawrence is the catcher?

No, I got that wrong

that's what I was saying...
angelsfan7 - October 18, 2010
Well, he's definitely pulling an A-Rod sans 2009...

The Yankees can win it all next year anyway with Lee – one less title is fine with me.
RedFog - October 18, 2010
I'm rooting for the National League
ryanfea - October 18, 2010
Yeah but this isn't the NL yet - and in case your rooting fails...

How dare you SOB's ridicule George's grand-daughter!
George Steinbrenner single-handedly saved the Yankees and baseball, and was a saint amongst men! Sorry, I was channeling a skankee fan there, yeah, the girl can’t sing. Please bring out someone better next time, like Roseanne Barr or an American Idol cast off. They certainly couldn’t be worse.
halofolife - October 18, 2010
you scared me there for 1/2 second
angelsfan7 - October 18, 2010
It's the beer bro.
And I was reminded how NY fans chastised us after George’s passing. You’d think that he cured cancer from the way skankee fans were carrying on about what he meant to the game, and how he saved baseball. Screw NY.
halofolife - October 18, 2010
those fucks tried to use the "we cried for you when NA passed" arguement.
SenorChuckles - October 18, 2010

George was older than dirt – and died of old age.
Nick was murdered by a drunk and was 20something…
