And yes, thanks Sam! It’s nice to have one competent reporter in the MSM on the halos.
1) .280/.340/.410 is BETTER than Kevin Kouzmanoff, so of course I’d be very happy if Wood put up those numbers. Kouzmanoff is more like a .240/.300/.420 guy.
2) I would love Damon as a lead off hitter in theory and I briefly mentioned that idea awhile ago. But the problem is, where would he play? Matsui is the DH, and the OF is covered with Rivera, Hunter, and Abreu. There just isn’t any room for him which is a shame because he would be great as our lead off hitter IMO.
