Vlad goes down in Angels’ loss - Angels blog - OCRegister.com
Guerrero was playing the outfield for just the second time this season, having recovered from the torn pectoral muscle that limited him to DH for the first half of the season (and sent him to the DL for 35 games). But when he charged Elvis Andrus’ single looking to stop Jarrod Saltalamacchia from going to third base, Guerrero wound up on his knees in shallow right field. Team orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum examined Guerrero and said the injury appeared to be in the area behind the knee where the hamstring attaches and not to a knee ligament.

The solution is obvious: Napoli DH's.
Jaun, Torii, Bobby in OF. If anyone thinks Wood will hit better than Napoli this year, you’all are crazy.
Can we just trade him for Halladay already? How bout Wood, 2 of our top 3 pitching prospects, Sean O, plus two more of our hitting prospects, and they throw in Frasior or Downs. And if they want Mathis or Kendrick.
Big Bad, 'Vlad'! - July 8, 2009
Did you just suggest that we trade up to 8 players for Halladay?
u so craaaaazy….
BryanHarvey'sMoustache - July 8, 2009
If Napoli DHs, then this guy is an every day player.
After last night, Mendoza Mathis is below the line again, having FINISHED last year below the line.

East Coast Bias?
So, last year the Angels have the best record in baseball (only team to win 100 games) and how much representation do they get in last year’s All-Star game?
This year, the Doyers have the best record in baseball and pretty much get snubbed as well. Coincidence?

i love the idea of Woody playing every day
but let’s not kid ourselves. unless someone gets him to apologize to Scioscia for sleeping with Mrs. Scioscia, it’s not happening.
so Nappy DHs, and we reap the benefits. no harm, no foul.

unless you call Mathis foul or harm
which i happen to… so forget that last part. ;)

Mathis???????
this guy cant hit water if he fell out of a boat!!! Trade Wood, Kendrick,Osullivan and Mathis and maybe 1 more to be named later for Halladay, Then try and get Benji back, yea I said it!! At least he can hit, you’ll have to work around the 50 dp’s he will hit into. lol
