Neither song has anything to do with baseball or the Angels, although it would be better than “Buttercup”.
We need a song to get those in attendance fired up for A) a potential rally to beat that day/night’s opponent or B) if leading to help us remember what makes this franchise special.
We need a "home-grown" song that reminds us;
- Of special moments from the past (similar to the montage before the game).
- That is a pleasure to sing…that fans look forward to singing (but not something irritating like "It’s a Small World")…that grandparents, parents, kids, tattooed love boys, and nuns would want to clap/sing along with (or at least the chorus).
- Of the players, coaches and owners that have made it happen.
- That brings particular honor to and/or memory of Gene Autry, Arte Moreno, Mike Scioscia, Lyman Bostock, Mike Miley, and of course Nick Adenhart.
If not a 7th inning stretch song, then it could be an end of game song to share with remaining fans. It will remind us of why we are here, why we are fans of this team.
I nominate this song instead...
of that stupid “Build me up Buttercup” song they play at the stadium in the 7th inning. Anyone agree?

Nope.
I nominate a second round of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” instead of “Buttercup”.

I agree
