SATURDAY ANGELS ROUNDUP: Escobar's In, Santana's Win, Scout's Sin

Up next for Angels: at Detroit Tigers - Los Angeles Times
Kelvim Escobar makes his first start since Oct. 5, 2007

Santana’s real return - Angels blog - OCRegister.com
Sam Miller's take on Santana's performance against Detroit. "But after that outing tonight, I’m strictly focused on glass-half-full stuff."

Angels fire international scouting supervisor - Angels blog - OCRegister.com
Prior to working for the Angels, Daniel was part of the Cincinnati Reds’ scouting department under GM Jim Bowden. Bowden and others who worked with him have been subjects of the MLB probe and an FBI investigation into allegations that some scouts had skimmed from signing bonuses given to Latin American players. Bowden recently resigned as Nationals GM as a result.

Worked for Jim Bowden?  Buh-bye.

Angels' Bobby Abreu closing in on history - Angels Unplugged - Los Angeles Times
The Angels' Bobby Abreu needs two hits for 2,000. He'll become the fifth player to reach 2,000 hits in an Angels uniform.

Team Reports - MLB at CBSSports.com
"If they want me to sit on the bench and pick pine out of my butt, I'll do it." -- RHP Matt Palmer, on moving from the rotation to the bullpen.

Uh, no Mr. Palmer that won't be necessary, but a few scoreless innings in relief would be great.

Service Time: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
"Teams monitor it closely early in a player's career because they can delay free agency or prevent a player from becoming a Super Two if they're careful."

I've mentioned this before, it's probably not, but could this be a reason why Brandon Wood is Salt Lake City?

A-Gone turns up the power - Fox Sports
"Tell them I eat a lot of burritos. Carne asada tacos and carne asada burritos are great."

I bet he's very popular in the clubhouse.

Shutting Detroit Down

I accidentally said Yes

but meant to say no, because that’s the sort of logical paradox that I like

Is a paradox inherently logical or illogical?
Neither

Logic can be applied to paradox in some situations. The fundamental absence of logic is often the paradox itself.

Technically, it's essentially a version of the Epimenides paradox

Epimenides was a Cretan who once famously said, “All Cretans are liars”.

This paradox is what underlies Godel’s Incompleteness Theorem.

[red floyd holds a degree in Computer Science with an emphasis on mathematical logic]

is there any baseball blog on earth

gonna challenge our community to an IQ fight?

I caught the paradox once

Wasn’t so bad cept for the diarrhea.

PS Please sign me up for the HH IQ team.

Thanks.

The truth is that a paradox is when Ben Casey meets Kildare
I'm glad you guys clarified...

…I always thought it was when twins became doctors.

Then the pre-game guesses should be a snap for you, yet they are not.
Well, when the team loses, I tend to lose, too.
Mr. WiHaloFan,

I want to thank you for putting these links together in one post. I check out a couple of these blogs on an occasional basis.
Having them – and others – together in one post is a really good idea. You have provided links to stories I otherwise would not be aware of. I appreciate your efforts.

LOL at Mike Plumber.......

he’s a funny guy.

there should be no no's

in the poll because people that dont anwser polls wouldn’t anwser this 1

and yet they did … damn logic, full seed ahead to the forbidden zone!
