Lest we not forget:

SBN also has a Blazers blog: Blazers Edge

Classic fan who only follows the playoffs = Lakers Fan

lol

All teams have their fans that only wake up come playoff time

The Lakers Wake up Call:

After he did this to Gasol a 2nd time

he flashed him two fingers. like “got ya twice bitch!”

which coincidently, means FU in England and most of Western Europe.
For some reason

The Lakers always suck in Portland

and when have they sucked in Portland during the playoffs?

it’s gonna be a different story come postseason.

Yep, regular season and PO's way different (Ask our favorite baseball team)

Of course those playoff wins in Portland were the JailBlazers days (much easier to rag on Portland then). We took 2 out of 3 in 2000 WCF in Portland (epic choke series for both teams, Lakers almost lose after being up 3 games to 1, and then the comeback in Game 7).

Blazers need to get out of the first round though. 2-7 seeds in the West is not much difference.

Lakers over Jazz in 5, by the way.,

ya we'll see you in a 7 game series

i would take the blazers more seriously if they didnt just make one of the worst draft mistakes of all time in taking greg oden over kevin “see you in the hall of fame” durant

we needed some muscle, 2.0

Oden is young and still got some to prove.

Besides, what are we gonna do with Durant? We already got a shooting guard. Who name is Brandon Roy…who was by the way, ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, himself.

duh.

Durant is a small forward.

And as a blazer fan, I can honestly say, we made a huge mistake not drafting him.

But then again we made a similar mistake with a guy named sam bowie.

Worse draft mistake of all time was by the Blazers...

Taking Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan. HELLO!

Yeah, but it makes the Blazers one of the answers to the trivia question

What teams passed on Michael Jordan in the draft?

yeah! go blazas!

you in portland, northwest? me too.

Not portland

Eastern Oregon to be exact.

I hail from the oc...

but i live in tigard, OR. I never know who to root for when the Lakers play the Blazers. I like both of them.

I have the same dillema but

I usually root for the underdog and most Laker fans are as obnoxious and BoSuxs fans…

Thats a lot of confidence from such a young team that has just become legitimate agin
OMG

The only worse than the NBA is the WNBA!

please stop!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where does:

The D-League rank? Above or below the WNBA?

They are all un-watchable
cupie's take on the NBA = lame
Enjoy the CONCACAF friendlies, dude!
Hmn...

I’m a fan of Playoff Hockey. I get frustrated with ties and shootouts in the regular season, and love the intensity of hockey in the playoffs. Any love for our Katella exit neighbors? Their story this year is really awesome.

I wouldn't say thier story is awesome; more like disapointing.

Go Ducks!

Okay...

Their story the past three weeks is really awesome. Even if the Angels were horrible and in third place in the division with three weeks left, I’d call it a good season if they managed to pull of a playoff spot.

You guys should check out the Battle of California for Ducks coverage.

It’s a mix of Sharks, Kings, and Ducks bloggers, but the Ducks seem to be the biggest draw on the site.

The Sharks should be scared

Very Very Scared

yea they only beat us 4 out of the six meetings

I would be scared too

Yes, but only 5 teams this year beat the Sharks by 3 or more goals. The Ducks did it twice.

Love this pic.

The blog logo’s even better. I’m definitely checking this out. Thanks brokenyard.

Couldn't even beat the Kings in the final regular season game.
off topic

start another thread, or, better yet, a blog.

Why is yeswecan

always telling people what to do on the Internet? When did he become ruler of a thread?

sadly it is in his contract

his job description is “gets to tell others what to do”

but the fine print reads “not that they have to do it”

Since the Queens suck........I dont follow the NBA anymore.....

but if the Lakers let the damn Chowds win another title…….Imma slap Kobe with a trout..

LeBron will take of the Garnetts

But will Kobe stop LeBron… ??????

Boston is in trouble with Garnett being injured and the Cavs the team to beat but...

“ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!”

Second favorite Sactown nickname: the Queens

The first being Sackratucky. Not much more imaginative or witty, but it does piss off their fans.

never heard that one before lol.....

it fits though.

the Lakers need to rise above their opponents

instead of playing to their level.

Rise above?

What does that mean, exactly.

Does the NBA have a PHIL rating?

it means the lakers have a bad habit of playing worse against bad teams and playing awesome against good teams

they need to have a killer instinct to play awesome even against bad teams that dont require 100% effort to beat

The Lakes, with Bynum back, should cruise to the Finals

I’d like to see CP3 and the Hornets make a run, but I don’t think it’s in the cards. I’ll be sporting my Magic and CP3 jerseys in the next couple o’ weeks, what, with Jazz Fest and all…

Any Clips/Angels fans out there?

ClipsNation is the SBNation blog for them.

Someday, the Clips will rise again.

Go Clips!

It’ll be sooner than most think. Tons of talent on that roster. Not the right guy to coach it all. I wouldn’t mind seeing Dunleavy remain as GM, but the players don’t mesh well with him, especially Baron Davis.

Donald Sterling

The Anti-Arte

I like following the Clips to take a break from endless Laker coverage

(even though I still love the Lakers)

But for the Clips to rise again that implies that they rose once before. They need some Viagra, badly.

I like the Clippers, for some reason

I would think there would be a lot of Angels/Clippers fans – sort of the contrarian crowd. Especially among those who grew up in the 80s and had to endure endless talk about Showtime and Fernandomania and so on. I was an eight-year-old who went against the grain, I guess.

If the Clippers land Blake Griffin and everyone stays healthy next year and Dunleavy is gone, they’ll have a shot at the playoffs. A shot. I love the Clippers, but it’s hard to be optimistic when you’ve been following them for 20 years.

its simple

if griffin gets drafted by the clippers, he’ll be “injured” every year. If hes not, he’ll be an all-star

the clippers will never be good again under current ownership

With a young core

of possibly Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Al Thornton, Mike Taylor, and DeAndre Jordan they would be set for quite awhile. Get rid of Dunleavy as coach and you are even more set. But I’m sure they will find a way to screw it up. They are probably more worried about finding this year’s Micheal Olowakandi.

Rise again?

When did they rise, originally?

I've been a Laker fan

since the Jerry West days of the ’60s. Even did an oral report on West in elementary school (Mildred Morrow Elem, now long gone, on Dodge, right across the street from Foothill High).

Caught during my formative years, I have no chance of ever becoming a Clipper fan.

I tried to be a Clipper fan

it made being an Angel fan during the 87-01 desert feel like a winning trip to Vegas.

But was there a worse venue to see a game than the Sports Arena?

It was REALLY modern…in 1932.

Uh, the SAN DIEGO Sports Arena...

ever catch a San Diego Clipper game THERE? Made the LA Sports Arena feel like Staples.

Driven by it...

The neighborhood is even more of a dump than that around the LA Sports Arena.
