Yeah, they are really stressing patience at the plate! 3 pitches, inning over! Gotta take the good with the bad when Mickey Hacker is involved. Anybody wish to complain about being overly agressive today?
Gotcha. I just remember Adam Riggs for some stupid reason in this game HERE losing my lungs screaming so loud because the Halos had just beaten the Yankees with a nobody by the name of Adam Riggs via a walk-off.
We had a hotel near the stadium. The next morning we left for Vegas. Sportsbook teevees were replaying that highlight (The highlight was on the Yankees losing, Riggs’ single rolling past an already jogging-in Gary Sheffield)….

101halo - March 6, 2009
Lil' Lincecum pitching the Gigantes...
sothball - March 6, 2009
2 out walk, let's go Dustin.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
1-0 frisco. Thanks Benji. :P
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Dustin not doing particularly well here...
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
That inning was ugly.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Angels...6 up, 6 down, 3 on K's...
sothball - March 6, 2009
Atleast it's against a good pitcher. Against Lincecum, I can deal with it. It's when we do this
against Miguel Batista that I get erked.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Agreed...Lincecum is a damn good pitcher.
sothball - March 6, 2009
About par for Moseley...a couple of scratch runs through 3 innings.
Benjie Molina in the middle of both scoring innings…
sothball - March 6, 2009
It seems like Bengi always kicks our ass.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
i'm really loving the between inning music...
Of Angels and Angles - March 6, 2009
Budde Christ with a walk! :D
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
...First. Pitch. DP. For future reference, Bourjos, doing that means you get fired. >_<
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
LOL...he didn't get the message on plate discipline...
sothball - March 6, 2009
OK, Merkin Valdez in. Let's do something this time through the order, OK guys?
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Time for Angels player to kick it up a notch.
44FAN - March 6, 2009
Winceandcum threw a no-no over 3IP. Yikes. Made Moseley look bad, even though Dustin’s line is quite near his norm.
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
Now here's a familiar face and a guy we let go at exactly the right time.
Sure enough, first basehit of the game. Nail him, Naps.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
No-no No-mo...
thanks KMo! :)
K3YEROUT - March 6, 2009
Kendrick nails Ortiz in the leg and gets a basehit, nice.
Let’s go Chris.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
On the board on the hit & run, 2-1 with HK at 2nd and 2 out.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Thanks Ortiz!
K3YEROUT - March 6, 2009
tied it up
SoCalWine - March 6, 2009
TIE GAME! Nice hit by Bourjos to make up for last time.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Back in it...
Good at bat by Bourjos
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
Hilariously, allowing just 2 runs in this inning would STILL lower Ortiz' spring ERA
from what it was coming in to the game.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Seems lonely in here. :-P
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
friday
getaway day…
Rev Halofan - March 6, 2009
difficult to work and post at the same time...
sothball - March 6, 2009
True.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Nuts, no more runs, but we tied it up off Ortiz.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Rivera down on K's for the second time today. Gotta pick it up, Juan.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Kendry stayin' hot. Time for a Power Nap!
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Adios Ortiz!
you can pitch AGAINST us anytime!
K3YEROUT - March 6, 2009
Woo, NAPS! Angels lead 3-2!
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Nice...
Here’s to a healthy 09 for Naps, could be a big year.
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
His september still has me in awe.
If he could be like, half that awesome over a full season, he’d still be the second best hitter on the team.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Honestly, I take Naps over Rivera at DH if it comes to that. Get him in the games, Mike.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Nice throw, Budde!
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
For those of you who may be wondering,
the reason no one is saying anything is that nothing is happening.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
And as soon as you say this, they get a 2 out triple. :P
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Yeah, I jinxed us.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
No damage though.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Ninja'd. :P
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
No permanent damage, though.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Rex Hudler has a book, apparently. I did not know this.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Halos Heaven had a spotlight on it earlier this off-season
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
Nice of you guys, especially since I know a number of people don't like him.
Personally I think he’s hilarious, but that’s just me.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
I will be right there with you crying the day Hud leaves the Angels broadcast team.
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
9th inning coming up.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Man I'd forgotten about Bulger.
Our bullpen has like a jillion good pitchers.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Yeah, the ONLY problem I have is the choice of closer, the pen itself is rock solid.
Honestly, that’s really a good description of the team: Solid.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
Or not, 4-3 Frisco. Yeesh.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
NO!!
AngelKeith - March 6, 2009
Whoops.
Dangit Bulger. Giants up 4-3.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Bummer
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
Come on Bulger, damage control.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
He's out of it, but man. 1 strike away and he gives it all up. Yikes. There's always our half, but
he can’t have helped his chances right there.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
He's got the rest of spring training to pull it out.
But that 16 ERA = yikes.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Whelp, bottom of the 9th.
Here we go.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
A postive note ...
at least out youngsters get at least 3 more ABs.
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
out should be our
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
That's a great way to look at it...
even comes with a little pressure, very little pressure.
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
Angels youngsters: Who needs THREE atbats? :P
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
XD
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Did I say 3 AB's or 3 pitches??? ;)
Yeah, they are really stressing patience at the plate! 3 pitches, inning over! Gotta take the good with the bad when Mickey Hacker is involved. Anybody wish to complain about being overly agressive today?
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
Other than getting exposed by Tim Lincecum, I don't have many complaints. And I'm
still more inclined to credit Lincecum than blame our guys.
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
LEADOFF DOUBLE!!
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
Reminds me of 1986 ALCS Game 5 … hit batsman followed by a lead-changing 2-run HR.
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
Let's see who can play Soth ball.
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
WOO HOO!
AngelKeith - March 6, 2009
BRAD COON WALKOFF HOMER!!!
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
WOOOOOOO BRAD COON GW HR!!!
TheOptimist - March 6, 2009
I h’aint seen sumthin like that in a ’coon’s age!
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
Phys: Well, Coon doesn't have a lot of power but he's good bunter
Coon: F### that.
Zu Long - March 6, 2009
HOLY CHIT!
chairmanofthebar - March 6, 2009
Haha!
No soth ball, just walkoffs for the young guys!
Wytelitning - March 6, 2009
greta minds...
sothball - March 6, 2009
not exactly Sothballl, but a win anyway!
sothball - March 6, 2009
Light it up walk off off homer
Brad Coon
angelsown3417 - March 6, 2009
get rid of one off lol
angelsown3417 - March 6, 2009
looks like coon is gonna get cut..
..everybody knows if you wanna make the major league squad, you have to get the walk-off single, not the walk-off HR..
b0rd3rline - March 6, 2009
Adam Riggs would like a word with you about that one...
unless you are quoting some movie and I am simply forgetting which one …
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
no, no movie
i was just referring to the fact that HR’s are hard to come by in an angel’s uniform. i mean, we definitely see more walk off singles than HR’s..
b0rd3rline - March 6, 2009
Gotcha. I just remember Adam Riggs for some stupid reason in this game HERE losing my lungs screaming so loud because the Halos had just beaten the Yankees with a nobody by the name of Adam Riggs via a walk-off.
Downing Rules - March 6, 2009
I was at that game
We had a hotel near the stadium. The next morning we left for Vegas. Sportsbook teevees were replaying that highlight (The highlight was on the Yankees losing, Riggs’ single rolling past an already jogging-in Gary Sheffield)….
