I guess they want to show Garland what it’s like to face a good line-up for a change.
WiHaloFan - March 20, 2009 reply
they have their starters
princeton11loveshalos - March 20, 2009 reply
If it were me (and it’s clearly not), I would:
Put Wood in for Aybar Put Napoli in for Mathis (although is Napoli’s shoulder still hurt? will he be ready to catch by opening day?)
Gorbachav5 - March 20, 2009 reply
get woody out there
Wytelitning - March 20, 2009 reply
There was this accident with a time machine, a cat locked in a box with a radioactive isotope, a baseball, and a keyboard.
It’s all very technical, but it turns out that somewhere on Mars, today is Thursday.

Still showing mid-2nd.

And like I said last game, the guys over at the MLB network are probably locked into a really good World of Warcraft tourney right now.
3rd Echelon - March 20, 2009 reply
But they may be running Heroic Naxx or Heroic Ulduar on the PTR.
(according to gameday)
“Vlad looks real hitterish up there!” Now that is just too funny! :D

Dude’s lights out so far this spring.

looking dangerous…
stuck in Romania - March 20, 2009 reply
but we want GMJ back.
Screw that. Keep the new guy. He can hit.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009 reply
I stayed on it for way too long last year and it made me depressed
norcaliangelsfan - March 20, 2009 reply
Part of me is hoping that we trade him to make room for Wood. It’s getting hard not to think that a healthy GMJ could turn things around though.
then he might replace GMJ
please do well….
good sign!!!
It really seems like maybe the orgs hitting focus has taken a turn for the better.

he took over in CF
22 year old OF prospect.
Spent last year in Orem where he put up a line of .262/.330/.291 for a .621 OPS in 172 AB.
Didn’t seem like much last season so I never mentioned him. Interesting that the Angels are giving him some face time this late.
:(
i bet they use that AB to send him to Salt Lake
I really think this guy has a shot at being pretty good outfielder in the years to come if we give him the chance.
On the high-side for a prospect, but he could still make something of himself.
Lots of power for a 19 year old, but he’s got some big holes in his swing right now. We’ll see what a year in Cedar Rapids makes of him.
Yankees and White Sox as partners in such a trade.
Angels now have a 16-4 record this spring.

WiHaloFan - March 20, 2009

they have their starters
princeton11loveshalos - March 20, 2009
I meant from who he faced last year while with the Angels
WiHaloFan - March 20, 2009
Maybe...
If it were me (and it’s clearly not), I would:
Put Wood in for Aybar
Put Napoli in for Mathis (although is Napoli’s shoulder still hurt? will he be ready to catch by opening day?)
Gorbachav5 - March 20, 2009
I like your idea for wood
get woody out there
princeton11loveshalos - March 20, 2009
Isn't it Friday?
Wytelitning - March 20, 2009
Well, you see...
There was this accident with a time machine, a cat locked in a box with a radioactive isotope, a baseball, and a keyboard.
It’s all very technical, but it turns out that somewhere on Mars, today is Thursday.
red floyd - March 20, 2009

SoCalWine - March 20, 2009
Well today is supposed to be Thursday...
And like I said last game, the guys over at the MLB network are probably locked into a really good World of Warcraft tourney right now.
3rd Echelon - March 20, 2009
Well, I doubt it's a tourney
But they may be running Heroic Naxx or Heroic Ulduar on the PTR.
Gorbachav5 - March 20, 2009
2 - 0 good guys heading into 3rd
(according to gameday)
SoCalWine - March 20, 2009
Rex doing play by play...
“Vlad looks real hitterish up there!” Now that is just too funny! :D

GMJ feeding crow
Dude’s lights out so far this spring.
ReggieBullits - March 20, 2009
Our "big bat'' for 2009, how ironic.
44FAN - March 20, 2009
HGH....
looking dangerous…
stuck in Romania - March 20, 2009
I don't know who the hell you are Mr...
but we want GMJ back.
3rd Echelon - March 20, 2009
What?
Screw that. Keep the new guy. He can hit.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
Damnit is he gonna make me jump back on the bandwagon....
I stayed on it for way too long last year and it made me depressed
norcaliangelsfan - March 20, 2009
I wouldn't say I'm on the bandwagon yet, myself.
Part of me is hoping that we trade him to make room for Wood. It’s getting hard not to think that a healthy GMJ could turn things around though.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
man if rivera doesnt clean up his act
then he might replace GMJ
princeton11loveshalos - March 20, 2009

44FAN - March 20, 2009

stuck in Romania - March 20, 2009
I'm liking the walks from Howie and Wood.
It really seems like maybe the orgs hitting focus has taken a turn for the better.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
we can only hope
howiestheman - March 20, 2009
Kiniry walks
howiestheman - March 20, 2009
who?
ihearhowie2.0 - March 20, 2009
exactly
he took over in CF
howiestheman - March 20, 2009
Rian Kiniry
22 year old OF prospect.
Spent last year in Orem where he put up a line of .262/.330/.291 for a .621 OPS in 172 AB.
Didn’t seem like much last season so I never mentioned him. Interesting that the Angels are giving him some face time this late.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
Wood K's.
:(
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
:( indeed
i bet they use that AB to send him to Salt Lake
howiestheman - March 20, 2009
I'm really happy to see Chris Pettit doing so well this spring.
I really think this guy has a shot at being pretty good outfielder in the years to come if we give him the chance.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
How old is he?
norcaliangelsfan - March 20, 2009
He's 24. Turns 25 in August.
On the high-side for a prospect, but he could still make something of himself.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
No surprise seeing Castillo wiff.
Lots of power for a 19 year old, but he’s got some big holes in his swing right now. We’ll see what a year in Cedar Rapids makes of him.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
GMJ being mentioned by the radio guys as potential trade bait
Yankees and White Sox as partners in such a trade.
Zu Long - March 20, 2009
Final score is 6-1.
Angels now have a 16-4 record this spring.
