On behalf of the Halos Heaven community, I just sent a check for $800 to the Jon Wilhite Recovery Fund. Jon was the lone survivor of the April 9 car crash that took the lives of Nick Adenhart, Henry Pearson and Courtney Stewart. This money was raised auctioning off some Angels collectibles I had gathered over the years as described IN THIS SEPTEMBER POST. Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word about the auctions and bid on the items. This community exists for more than itself.
The Jon Wilhite Recovery fund is administered by the Manhattan Beach Little League. You can send them a check, made payable to MBLL with a note "For Jon Wilhite Recovery Fund" in the memo area. Send it to:

It was more than classy of you to put it down as a donation from HH.....
and shrewd for business too ;)

Awesome
And… what an amazing photo… nick and jon, almost a mirror image of each other

Took the tought right out of my mind...
…that photo says more than I can write in 100,000 words. The look on Willhite’s face with the #34 on his jersey…the depth-of-field showing Nick’s wall image blurred in the background…anyone that knows the story can’t help but be moved by this photo.
Beyond that Rev, I respect your generosity to Willhite’s Recovery Fund. His time on this planet was extended a lot longer by a dedicated group of professionals that helped him recover. These professionals will be compensated in part from this fund. This (in part) is what separates us from animals. This…this is humanity at it’s best.
Thanks for this post.

I don't think I have been more prouder
to be a part of this community. And for all the flack Rev takes across the SB Nation, probably the most generous, kind, gestures I’ve seen.
Rev, you’re a good dude. And you are the right person to lead this community.

Awesome gesture, Rev
That was a lot of truly amazing Halos swag and I’m sure they must have held some wonderful memories for you, but yet you gave it all up for a great cause. Thanks from all of us.
