I am just very, very bitter about the really poor officiating through all of the post season, not just the ALCS.Though, from game 1, Angels pitchers and batters did NOT get the same strike zone as the Yanks.
Didn’t really matter, the Halos screwed themselves with little league fielding and their bats weren’t alive. Blaming the umps is easy, but it’s a cop-out. Shouldn’t matter.
granted, the Angels made lots of mistakes, but come on.
if the strike zone wasn’t squeezed, if the hitters weren’t called out on obvious balls.. there were many, many poor calls by the umps that changed the momentum of this ALCS, and they have been mostly well documented. While some went against the Yanks, the majority, the real game and momentum changers, went against the Angels. When you are playing against a stacked deck, there is only so much that you can to do come back and win.
I love this team. I love what they have done this season, I love the dedication that they have shown, and I love how they have stuck together.
But, That does NOT change the fact that they had 1 hand tied behind heir back the whole series.
It’s been a grand year. I enjoy the hell out of this site. To all those online: Wait ‘til next year. See the sunset. Do a kind deed. Make love. Drink a glass of cognac. I totally agree.
I am just very, very bitter about the really poor officiating through all of the post season, not just the ALCS.Though, from game 1, Angels pitchers and batters did NOT get the same strike zone as the Yanks.

granted, the Angels made lots of mistakes, but come on.
if the strike zone wasn’t squeezed, if the hitters weren’t called out on obvious balls.. there were many, many poor calls by the umps that changed the momentum of this ALCS, and they have been mostly well documented. While some went against the Yanks, the majority, the real game and momentum changers, went against the Angels. When you are playing against a stacked deck, there is only so much that you can to do come back and win.
I love this team. I love what they have done this season, I love the dedication that they have shown, and I love how they have stuck together.
But, That does NOT change the fact that they had 1 hand tied behind heir back the whole series.
