MLB Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim- Magic number is 9 and counting. ;-)
Just thought it was worth noting that winning seems to be a trend for us this season.
Zu Long - September 1, 2008
Make that 8
Mariners 12, Rangers 6.
scareduck - September 2, 2008
Thank you Seattle.
Downing Rules - September 2, 2008
What the hell?
The Quakes didn’t make it? Didn’t they have a 20 game winning streak going at some point?
shiftyeyedgoat - September 1, 2008
*number purposefully exaggerated for your viewing pleasure.
shiftyeyedgoat - September 1, 2008
At least you phrased your answer in the form a of a question! I will take Angel minor league teams for 400, Alex…
Rev Halofan - September 1, 2008
that was SLC
Four Ts - September 1, 2008
and we r all worried about depth?
halofan4life - September 1, 2008
Agreed
If our future MLBers are playing our competitions’ future MLBers, I see nothing to worry about.
Rally Manatee - September 1, 2008
Update: Quakes still have a shot.
I had previously thought the Quakes blew their shot at the playoffs with a loss on Sunday, but as it turns out, they’re still in it. A big win Monday night forced a one-game playoff for the final slot.
Zu Long - September 2, 2008
wow how cool would that be
A clean sweep for every level of halo teams to make the playoffs
halofan4life - September 2, 2008
I think it might be the first time in history
that ALL teams from any franchise reached the playoffs. Somebody on the radio was trying to do a deep dive research project two weeks ago on this, and could not find any other occurance before the show concluded.
Stirrups - September 2, 2008
does anybody know what time the quakes game is on today???
halofan4life - September 2, 2008
7PM, Pacific Time. And "on" is pretty relative.
You can listen to it over the internet or track the PBP, but that’s about it.
Zu Long - September 2, 2008
what i meant was when is 1st pitch
i live back east so NO WAY am i gonna be able tosee that game. but i might follow it on gameday.
halofan4life - September 2, 2008
Tight game thus far.
2-2 heading into the 6th. Walden pitching for the Quakes, who are the away team.
Zu Long - September 2, 2008
6-6 in the 11th!!!
Quakes were down 6-2 and rallied (do they have the rally fault line or something?) for 1 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th to force extras.

“Nobody left on the bench for the quakes” – radio announcer. Conger is out being pinch run for.
Downing Rules - September 2, 2008
Rosario pinch ran for Conger in that 3-run 8th inning – he never got around to scoring and the Quakes could sure use Conger’s bat in these extra innings…

"Former Dodger batboy Umpire...
so every call will favor the Dodgers…of course."
Leadoff BB on two bad calls on check swings, according to our “neutral” Quakes announcer (haha).
Downing Rules - September 2, 2008
"If I hear who let the dogs out one more time...
I might rip out the PA cord."
Downing Rules - September 2, 2008
