yeah I am in sacramento. I had buy directv's MLB package, which for some reason doesn't televise every game every day.
And then MLB blacks out angel telecasts against bay area teams forcing you to watch the a’s or sf telecast even if they aren’t televising it. And the a’s have a piss poor tv package that airs only about 12 games per year, leaving me with nothing.
Yeah, never knew the out of area options were kinda sucky
til my sister moved to the Fresno area which probably has similar options to Sacramento. So, trying to work out a spot for a slingbox, which obviously isn’t HD or even SD but a helluva lot better than the options available, or nothing…or gameday and the like…
I sent Bill Plunkett from OC register a rather critical e-mail a few days ago and was surprised to get a very nice reply addressing my issues and suggestions. At least they are trying. He said they are experimenting with turning the Angels page in to a blog type of thing with some new features like polls and such. Looks like some folks are studying the HH model kind of closely.
Both are getting exponentially smaller. The Register is practically a flyer on Mondays; the Times is a ghost of its former self. It seems every six months or so they announce further changes that will cut its size.
who don’t have cable. For their sakes, I hope as many games as possible are on KCOP. I’ve seen many games in HD – it’s still baseball, and it’s still fun to watch either way. So let the masses watch!

they really need to just televise everything on FSN… and preferably in HD.

Be grateful for what you have
Some of us outside the LA area have to make due with internet feeds, FSNW, FOX and ESPN telecasts.
BUT I do get every goddamn Mariners telecast…

It's easy to get spoiled.
