French prosecutors said yesterday a three-year-old girl had died from heat stroke and dehydration after spending the day locked in her father’s vehicle in the car park at the factory where he had a managerial post.
She’s from Little Rock, so she’s been to a few Travs games. This was the first time she got to see some ex-Travs in major league uniforms, which was cool. But she was hoping to see the Rally Monkey, who turned out to be unnecessary.
Great to see the role players stepping it up lately, even when Lackey & Vlad have off days (like infant says, those guys will be there in the long run). Lead is to double digits, but more importantly we’re finally swinging the sticks! We’re hitting well when our pitching’s down & pitching well when our hitting stinks. Now let’s go to the East Coast & keep that road magic up. This is a big road trip; will be a good test of where we’re at as a club right now: 3 BAL, 3 BOS and 4 @ NYY. Let’s push that lead to 15!!
He’s been shelled in two of his last 3 outings, and even though he won the game vs. Boston, he was hit hard (even if there were only 2 or 3 runs scored).
I had to listen to Gameday Audio on my laptop at the office
And after Mathis got the job done, pretty much everyone else wanted to know what on earth is wrong with me, and why am I shouting “I don’t believe it!”
I love it when this team surprises me.
No, I love this team, and there it is. Man, I hope I never move away from SoCal.
Way to go Mathis!!!

HH would've given Panther to Frankie
if he would’ve pick’d off some one off and thus getting the 0 pitch save.

No you wouldn't. Don't lie to us.
Stirrups - July 23, 2008
No, I'd have still voted for Shotgun
But KRod would have gotten a very honorable mention for that.
red floyd - July 23, 2008
awww, I came to vote for Figgy... Great game Mathis, and Kotch, and Howie....
I love to see offense every now and then

halofan4life - July 23, 2008
Just a note, scottnak
You scored me correctly, but in the summary on the right, you left off a “WILLITS: NO”
I had a vote for Reggie.
red floyd - July 23, 2008
True,
But by default if I don’t have it listed it wont detect it, and I was too lazy to add that line :P
scottnak - July 23, 2008
Forgetting to post your guesses is as bad as forgetting you locked your baby in the car in 100 degree heat.

two Mathis panthers in a row
somebody update the panthers list

I think Naps was mentioned only 3 times total in the game threads.
The silence was pleasantly different.

You can't do that
The “schmendrick” in the commercial is Lackey, not Howie.

Vlad’s Hags?

Ouch
That’s a little harsh toast. GMJ might be having another bad season, but to out him and assign him a gay groupie club is a bit rough.

Mathis
tanana40 - July 23, 2008
I gotta go with GMJ
Big single and an RBI. He even let one pitch go for a bases loaded walk (just after swinging at ball four)
My understanding is Panther goes to anyone going above and beyond what we expect? No?
Wytelitning - July 23, 2008
That's the official metric! Good call. I am going to remember this one.
It will come in handy down the road…

blues911 - July 23, 2008
Great game allround
Kendrick, Mathis, Kotch… Heck even GMJ wasn’t useless today. Great game (except for Figgy, Vlad and Lackey – but that’ll sort itself out).
