Everyone but Garland
QFT

and seconded.

If we had seen bad-Garland on the mound tonight, I might’ve stopped watching the Angels altogether.

Spier

Cant Pitch Much Better then a 1 hit shutout on 93 pitches

Speier

The lineup all got owned pretty much equally.

Angels offense.

One hit? Terrible.

Offense didn't exist, but Speier blew the runs

Late inning bullpen guys aren’t supposed to give up runs in tie games

Speier

takes the fall… O non existent but bo sux got shut down equally as bad by shields so he’s legit…. why wasnt our shields in there in the 9th ?

Tough to blame the offense...

.. when sheilds was pitching like that.

Speier, hands down.

Speier

Isn’t his main job to HOLD the game?

No ONE Angel on offense can be blamed much more than the others

whereas Speier did that exact opposite of his damn job.

I blame GA.

If he had not been so lazy, and gotten 3 RBI’s today, Speier would have collected a save.

Panther......GA being lazy LOL
Spier

How many games has he come in and given up the long ball?!!!! It seems like it’s quite a few.

Speier

He’s been rather pedestrian all season. He leaks a lot of baserunners, and has proven susceptible to the long ball. By failing to score in the 1st nine innings, the Halos were pretty much guaranteed to lose; but once you reach the bottom of the 9th in a tie game, you simply cannot give up any runs until your team has scored something. He failed at his job.

Speier

gave up a walk-off tater to a bitch who is in Desperate Housewives. That’s double botg material.

Noninspired Blame Just Inspire
spier

But Vlad, Torii, and GA need to get there bats moving soon.

I Blame Scioscia!

Why Speier?

Scioscia

He’s off-limits according to the unofficial “blame” rules.

Speier

He served up a fatty to end the game.

Speier

When you give a homer, it is just you vs the batter.

And to the line-up:

How about taking some more pitches and making this guy more a bit more!

Speier

he didn’t do his job.

end of story

im gonna go with vlad

hes gottta carry our offense.

im drunk though, so discount my opinion

Tip of the Hat to Garland: 8 shutout innings, good zip on the fastball (92, 93)

James Shields; top notch starter who was really on his game. No wag of the finger to the hitters.
Speier sucked, but at least it was quick. Angels might be lucky if Aybar is only out a few games. The hit on the hand looked very bad.

Gear up for tomorrow: ace-lefty Kazmir goes for the Rays.

speier

he’s been way too shaky so far this year

Update on Aybar's Condition

From Bill Plunkett’s blog:

‘Meanwhile, preliminary X-rays showed no fracture after Erick Aybar was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning. Aybar was examined by Rays team doctor Koco Eaton and diagnosed with a bone contusion of the pinky finger on his left hand . . . .’

Garland for not throwing 160 pitches

but seriously, you cant blame relievers. You have to blame the offense for doing nothing the entire game, and swinging at first pitches. You have to be patient against pitches you are dealing and work the counts. They seemed like they decided that the best course of action was to swing at every first pitch. Bad game plan, bad offense.

i say the blame goes to the offense

a for hit shutout from garland and they do nothing??? not cool.

and im totally stoked!! first time this year i got all 3 of the guesses right :)

looking at the bright side…

four*

spelling is hard…

i don't see why everyone whats to give it to speier.

yea he gave up the winning runs meaning he did not do his job, but neither did anyone on this team, save garland. i think that the blame falls on the sholders of the team leaders who for some crazy reason have been mired in a season long slump. so give it to vlad and or GA or even scioscia or putting up that weak lineup

line up for tommorw

LF: willitz
CF: Hunter
RF: Vlad
1B: Kotchman
DH: Napoli
C: Mathis
3B: Wood
2B: S-Rod

are you serious?.......that would KICK ASS!!!!
its what i would want
Me Too.....but I would call up K-Mo and DH him (but that aint going to happen) so I like your lineup.
kendrey might help. i think the slump disease is spreading
there's no SS

but i’ll assume Aybar was in there somewhere

i knew i was missing something

ummmm. damn it. is Q are only option

i willing to give matt brown another shot
yeah me too

ANYTHING but Q….

man the bottom of the order is going to be rough until we can get back aybar, figgins and howie
no kidding

even though id still love to see Wood get a starting job.
call me crazy, but i think the guy just needs some time.

BOTG

Howie’s Hammy.

If Howie was back, hitting his nice .500, he could have started the rally. Miss him.

Where are the Speier for Closer people now?

Yeah right.

speier

Shields should of been our guy, heck even o’day would of been better in front of his family in retrospect
