Truly a Saturday Night Weaver. A great, great win for the team. I would have liked a bases clearing double by Figgy or HK and the ump not to blow the call at the plate, but luckily it had no impact on the outcome. The D was sharp and Weave and K-Rod came through big time. With all the LOB it would have been a very sh*tty loss, plus I got stuck with the always annoying uber-nerd Josh Lewin calling the game. The only Texas Ranger I could ever tolerate was Walker.
from tomorrow's game against Baltimore.............hip problem.......scheduled to pitch Tuesday. Mariners 2-3 after 6-4 loss today. Mariners fans not happy. King Felix to try to calm the troops tomorrow.
got an extra ticket from Curtis the Dodger Fan. not as animated as last night, and not as many fake boobs, which was nice. i'm going with cupie tomorrow, which means i've been to all three home games this year. shit, i need a life...
i love the whole experience. but let's get real: baseball is not my life. i will devote as much as i can to it, and this weekend it has been my ENTIRE life. PANTHER!!
how'd the art show go today?
we were going to go but after realizing it would cost us $60 in gas, the budget won out

Weaver
Looking like an ace tonight.
Zu Long - April 5, 2008
Weaver was awesome
3 hits, no walks, no runs...you can't really beat that.
Panther runner-up has to be HK47. Howie has been really smoking the ball and he has been money on defense.
Erik121 - April 5, 2008
completely agree
with all you said.

It was all Jered tonight.

Baseball = life
Caseys Kiss of Death - April 5, 2008
I'll gladly take your place, son.
If you don't want to deal with the baseball crowds, expensive beers, fake boobs and, of course, Angels baseball, then we'll make a deal...
shiftyeyedgoat - April 6, 2008
SON?
Dude's old enuf to be your ... well, old enough to be your older brother...

baseball is only ONE of YWC's 5 B's
Baseball
Beer
Band Rehearsal
Broads
Betting ALL IN on A-3 off-suit
Rev Halofan - April 6, 2008
I've emailed YWC
I expect this to be his next pursuit:

Weaved
Looks like he is still with us.
Someday, HK will hit for big average with risp. Until then, he hits at the bottom of the lineup. Patience (talking to myself).
vladtheimpaler - April 5, 2008
He had a hit in such a situation today
Caseys Kiss of Death - April 5, 2008
Weaver
If you regressed tonights start to the mean he should have allowed 3 homeruns and 5 ER.
hauldog - April 6, 2008
FIP was not impressed

Weaver
Was not throwing very hard though. He never cracked 90 on the stadiums gun. Not that it mattered, just an observation.
hauldog - April 6, 2008
he's not a gasser, anyway
he pitches like a guy in his mid-40s -- all location and change of speeds.
