The trades are crazy
I just started a Road to the Show as a pitcher in the Angels system. In the span of a few days, the Angels traded Shields, Kotchman, Santana, Napoli, a couple of minor leaguers, and all they got back was a bunch of nothing, plus Barry Zito and Cesar Izturis, and a couple dudes I've never heard of.
Then, to make matters worse, just as I was hitting my stride, I got traded to Philadelphia!

want to see pictures of me in all the stadiums I have been to when I've gone to see the Angels?? Every road trip???
Yankee Stadium this year for me--only cause it's the last year for the old park and I got a free ticket anywhere in the US from when I got bumped on my way back from Spring Training..

They were oversold by 3 tickets, so had to bump all 3 of us.. I didn't hear the whole announcement, but another day for free in Arizona was good, and I knew they'd put me up for the night, so I was all over it. THEN the ramp chick tells me that they are going to give me a free round trip anywhere in the states, put me up, give me breakfast and dinner, along with a $10 food voucher good in the airport AND they could book me on the same late flight so I could stay for another baseball game?? It was more "HELL YES!!"
I already booked my NYC flight, and had I not had the free flight, it would have cost me $700 to fly with this airline. And my tickets at Yankee Stadium have been ordered by the front office due to a conversation with my buddy up there who was appreciative over that contract situation last winter, if you remember what happened..
I'm spoiled.
