Those were contracts that have yet to expire since Arte bought the radio station. Give the station a year or so, and then judge the programming/scheduling. It's just like company executives: they're generally given a year's free pass to learn the business, and to get everything in order. Arte can't just void those contracts, he has to let them expire, then choose whether or not to renew them.
That said, the free gameday audio was a good compromise to be able to allow fans to still hear the games live. It is just rather annoying that they didn't get it right.
They send out an email to Halo Nation with a HUGE graphic "ALL REMAINING SPRING TRAINING GAMES FREE"!!! They quickly squashed the outcry that we caused when the games weren't readily available by promising us this solution .... and now, nothing?
No where on the Angels homepage is a link, an easy transition, a mention of listening to the games free online. (Mentions listening to games online, but all links take you to the purchase Gameday Audio page). It's like they're trying to sweep it under the carpet.
Is that I miss baseball enough that I just said screw it and ponied up the $15 for the subscription. Which is basically rewarding them for screwing up. Oh well, I suppose it'll be useful at work, haven't figured out if I get 830AM there yet.
yesterday we could listen to the game and today they want us to pay? Sorry if this has been answered somewhere in the thread already, havent read it.........
Sounds like it may be that you still have to enter your mlb.com username/password, but not have to pay. If you don't have this, sign up for angel's insider (free). Then check it, please...

(after a 30 min wait) They didnt know anything about the free games. I eve had to tell them how 2 get to the press release cuz they didnt believe me. Now they say thats the angels problem not ours.
side abdominals and side of lower rib cage...hard on a pitcher or a batter. They obviously do not yet know how bad it is...might open a spot in the pen for the beginning of the season...?! Speculating...
But man, did he disappoint in 2007, and so far he's like 0-6. Small sample size, yes, but he needs to get it together, as he's likely the one holding Morales back from making the 25 man.

can i get free gameday audio for this? I had trouble following what happened in the last thread.jtkelly86 - March 2, 2008
here
http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/index.jsp#20080302Halfway down the list, click on "KLAA"
Right now it's asking for a password, but it wasn't yesterday. Might just have to wait for the game to really start.
101halo - March 2, 2008
I have the same issue
WTFSFV88 - March 2, 2008
Away game, maybe?
Does the free audio only apply to home games?I was alright with this as a solution unlike some people, but not if it's not going to work.
101halo - March 2, 2008
stupid.
Press Release, states that ALL remaining Cactus League Angel games will be free. So, what this means, is that someone screwed up. Figures.
101halo - March 2, 2008
More of the same
way to be on the ball with covering kLAA radio games. Im sure theres never issues with the guys who pay to get shows on KLAASFV88 - March 2, 2008
For the last time...
Those were contracts that have yet to expire since Arte bought the radio station. Give the station a year or so, and then judge the programming/scheduling. It is just rather annoying that they didn't get it right.
101halo - March 2, 2008
I agree with you ...
I'm fine with the free gameday audio as a compromise ... it's so frustrating that they didn't (haven't still) gotten it right.lightupthehalo - March 2, 2008
contract???
When the contracts were signed did they not know Baseball would start?- someone screwed up and didnt realise then conflict.
- and most likely they knew of a conflict but they saw dollar signs over fans being upset.
Either way not a way to run a flagship station of a MLB club.SFV88 - March 2, 2008
They were signed PRIOR to Arte buying the station
Buying a radio station means you have to ride out any current contracts the previous owner has made. It's not that complicated.101halo - March 2, 2008
Seriously
this is getting ridiculous.

Oh well, I suppose it'll be useful at work, haven't figured out if I get 830AM there yet.101halo - March 2, 2008
