I happened to be in a fairly uncomfortable sitting position at the start of that inning, and now, of course, I can’t move. I think my left leg is going to fall asleep soon. I may lose a foot if it goes extra innings again.
and again that NO Doubles d hurt 10x more than it helped
Bay hits a motherfucking flyball thats in the air for 20 seconds and Reggie a fast runner can’t get to it because he was positioned in the Red Sox bullpen
I think we will always be climbing that mountain no matter what
The local media bleeds Dodger Blue while mostly relegating the Angels to the back pages or mentioned as an afterthought. The media is the best free publicity the Dodgers can get.
scioscia is 1-10 in his last 11 playoff games. sox were thinking squeeze, thats why dude was throwing way inside. his mickey mouse shit doesnt work anymore
couldn't agree more and fall all the shit Aybar is taking here, I felt confident he would put the ball in play
the dude only had 11 strikeouts his last 113 abs of the season but no POS Soth has to try that crap. But the game in the hands of the hitters! Not the pitchers. You can’t control where the pitcher puts the ball.
the frustrating thing is that this team devalues power far too much. i think the best case scenario here would be to resign tex and vladi, let garret walk or allow him to be an above-average bat off the bench, and give brandon wood some playing time over aybar to help him develop part of that 40-homer potential that he showed in 2005.
The organization needs to change their whole philosophy of focusing on pitching, super aggressive hitting, and having too many short banjo hitters with low SLG and OBP playing regularly.
Let GA walk. He had a great career with the Halos, but his offensive production is way too pedestrian for a corner outfield with very average defense.
I still think that Garret can be of some help to this club, at least offensively. Every time I think that he is too old to contribute, he still proves me wrong (like the second half this year). If we can get him at a dirt-cheap discount (as we should with Oliver, etc.) then I think we can still use him as a bench player along with GMJ ahead of guys like Willits, Aybar and the other various little Ecksteins that we have right now, while giving Rivera regular playing time in LF.
But I agree, if some club in need of an outfielder decides to go for him as a backup for Ibanez this winter, then yeah, let him walk.
If Oliver doesn’t retire and wants to stay a Halo, they need to resign him to a 1 year contract.
I will agree that GA could be used off the bench, but I really don’t want him playing regularly in the OF or as DH especially if it’s going to cost us a chunk of change.
Yes and how about the momentary season saving play! WOW! At least he only helped us
But hey it just goes to show, one or two black holes on the team is all it takes to drag us down and give it away,. . . THe score should have been 2-1, if that!
but they did more to win it than we did, and less to lose it than we did as well.
that’s just the truth.
I still can’t stand them because in my heart of hearts I believe this Angel team is just as good/capable as Boston but the fact of the matter is they didn’t show it.
plain and simple.
I’m not saying JD Drew has Mickey Mantle Power here or anything (go ahead and look at my previous posts, I’m all over The Boston Suckup station as much as the rest…)
I didn’t MEAN to say they were perfect… haha.
what I ORIGINALLY meant to write was, they didn’t make AS MANY mistakes (particularly as many CRITICAL ones..)
THIS ISNT FOOTBALL YOU F*CKS
equivelant of the catcher falling from a runner running into him, hustle forced the fall, and the ball fell out, THE GUY HAS IT IN A FUCKING GLOVE.
wonder how arte feels about his big moeny market team, ending their season with a blown squeeze, and a minor league regular running around in right field
Aybar's missed bunt on a squeeze play (Following Sosh's Call)
stands out the most and really hurts, but in reality, it is a prime example of just how terrible the Halos were with runners in scoring position this Entire Series !
Defensive Mistakes cost the Halos as well.
Angels Beat Themselves this series. Plain and Simple.
Completely disagree. He could have outrun Varitek in a footrace to third without looking back, he could have just fielded the Bay bloop on a hop, and he could have at least given himself to throw the runner out by playing closer and not bobbling the ball.
a runner caught in a rundown is dead 9 times out of 10. sure, he could have commited back to third a second sooner. but come on. its a rundown, advantage is always to the defense
your second point i may give you. But i would rather have him dive and make that catch. it was too close to take.
I still think he could have at least made it close if he knew the limits of his throwing arm and had played shallower (although I will give him that there were 2 outs, so he could have played a bit deeper, but still). The bobble didn’t really help him either, seeing that Bay isn’t a real burner.
Whatever. The rundown isn’t really his fault, although he would have made it if he didn’t look back. I guess hindsight is 20/20.
Even though Scioscia didnt want him to help us WIN, he still did it for the team. Then Scioscia said, “No No little Cuban, you are not going to force a game 5 with your clutch hit. I’m going to do something Real Stupid to get us out of this mess so we can go home to our families.” FAIL
I said Morales 2-4 with a Double should have started over Rivera/HGH/Willits 1-13. This is Bull Shit. Scioscia gets the BOTG. Aybar tried to fight off a ball that was 10ft off the plate and in on his hands.
GO RAYS……..GO DOYERS……..GO PHILLIES………FUCK YOU SUX!!!!!!!!
I’m Outs see you all in 2009 (well I’ll still be posting and getting into the off-season lingo but you know what I mean.)

nobody will remember 100 wins (except for old grannies that collect pins on their hats).
everyone will remember us falling flat on our faces against the chowds.
I know I will for sure.
this sucks.
gdog009 - October 6, 2008
Exile Reggie to Siberia
I don’t know what to do with Scioscia…
BBFan1 - October 6, 2008
See U next year guys
tmat - October 6, 2008
Fuck you Erick Aybar.
Fuck you too Kendrick. Sack of shit fucking middle infield sucks ass in the field and at the plate. Fuck. Shit. Cunt. Ass. Piss. Dick.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
Now that I got that out of my system.
it’s been a fun ride, until this painful series. What a hideous way to end it, having the momentum just ripped away by a terrible (non) bunt by Aybar.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
I'm going to be in a bad fucking mood for a long fucking time
we handed it to them… but with the help of the fucking umps.
can’t stand it… i’m pised
Red - October 6, 2008
THanks guys
for a fun year but i guess these are the breaks
princeton11loveshalos - October 6, 2008
Please tell me
what happened on the double?
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
reggie ran hard, dove, missed, bounced into stand, ground rule
feNOMINAL - October 6, 2008
Note
that we were lucky that it ended up in the stands.
scottnak - October 6, 2008
Thank you.
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
if reggie pulls up, it's a single though
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
and again that NO Doubles d hurt 10x more than it helped
Bay hits a motherfucking flyball thats in the air for 20 seconds and Reggie a fast runner can’t get to it because he was positioned in the Red Sox bullpen
MH252525 - October 6, 2008
If I never see the squeeze again
it’ll be too soon
The Clyde - October 6, 2008
seriously though way to fight guys
we will see you next year
angelsown3417 - October 6, 2008
Good year guys, sorry I couldn't make it for this game
But I am just so bummed, we tried and tried but I guess boston just gets to us…

I MISS MAICER
BigBangRobbDawgg - October 6, 2008
i wasn't that big on him
BUT ME TOO.
at least he could hit
howiestheman - October 6, 2008
eckstein, deal was almost done
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
Yes , just think how different things could have been if we had him.
O yah and Sosh would have to play him too.
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
Get rid of willits please
He’s a fucking bad luck absolute piece of shit
AngelsForLife - October 6, 2008
there wasnt one game we couldnt/shouldnt have won!
Incredibly poor execution!

Jed Lowrie???

I miss Eckstein and Kennedy
At least those guys were gamers
waters96 - October 6, 2008
All Aybar had to do
Was hit away…he didn’t have to squeeze, like he was instructed to.
Not his fault.
BBFan1 - October 6, 2008
Surely you're kidding.
All he had to do was make contact. Epic Fail.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
couldnt agree with you more
sosh should be hanging his head with that BS
bruinbrah - October 6, 2008
Go Tampa.......
Fuck……
AngelsForLife - October 6, 2008
that
really sucked… God I hate the Red Sux
DaBigKahuna - October 6, 2008
i want scioscia to take the blame. mickey mouse bullshit. then you leave willits out there, and what happens.
he turns a single into a double, then has no arm, and takes a backasswards route to the grounder
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
Aybar takes the blame.
He was asked to squeeze because he’s the worst hitter I’ve ever seen.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
If Aybar got that bunt down
Frankie would have blown the save
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
Weak shit
hauldog - October 6, 2008
VERY weak.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
but aybar didn't
can’t blame frankie when he didn’t even play
UCIHalo - October 6, 2008
Same shit, different year
It all seems so fucking inevitable when you look back on it. Thank god for ’02.
waters96 - October 6, 2008
for the love of whatever you all worship religiously...
no dodgers and no red sox in the world series
BigBangRobbDawgg - October 6, 2008
The national media is praying for that matchup
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
Mike Scioscia
Fuck you you fucking lazy overrated piece of shit
why the FUCK would you fucking squeeze when you just fought for your fucking worthless life to come back you asshat
182 - October 6, 2008
go rays
see you next year, boys.
lightupthehalo - October 6, 2008
I am in physical pain
highlandhalo - October 6, 2008
You jackasses blaming Sosh
are off your fucking rockers. Ridiculous.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
Especially the Dodgers
All the work we have done to be number one in the Southland will be for naught and we will have to climb that mountain all over again.
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
I think we will always be climbing that mountain no matter what
The local media bleeds Dodger Blue while mostly relegating the Angels to the back pages or mentioned as an afterthought. The media is the best free publicity the Dodgers can get.
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
ALL YOU SCIOSCIA HATERS
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! HE IS THE GREATEST MANAGER IN THE HISTORY OF THE ANGELS
anaheim angels - October 6, 2008
^^^^
This.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
Unfortunately he wasn't in this playoff series
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
overrated
182 - October 6, 2008
scioscia is 1-10 in his last 11 playoff games. sox were thinking squeeze, thats why dude was throwing way inside. his mickey mouse shit doesnt work anymore
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
couldn't agree more and fall all the shit Aybar is taking here, I felt confident he would put the ball in play
the dude only had 11 strikeouts his last 113 abs of the season but no POS Soth has to try that crap. But the game in the hands of the hitters! Not the pitchers. You can’t control where the pitcher puts the ball.
MH252525 - October 6, 2008
And he had a 2-0 count.
snowhor - October 6, 2008
Just stupid
The odds were way better that he would get the run in swinging than bunting.
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
Nope that small ball thing is too predictable
You need some patience and big bats in order to win. God I hope they give Tex a blank check and let him right in the amount that he wants
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
write*
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
argh
the frustrating thing is that this team devalues power far too much. i think the best case scenario here would be to resign tex and vladi, let garret walk or allow him to be an above-average bat off the bench, and give brandon wood some playing time over aybar to help him develop part of that 40-homer potential that he showed in 2005.
182 - October 6, 2008
Agree.
The organization needs to change their whole philosophy of focusing on pitching, super aggressive hitting, and having too many short banjo hitters with low SLG and OBP playing regularly.
Let GA walk. He had a great career with the Halos, but his offensive production is way too pedestrian for a corner outfield with very average defense.
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
rec'd
snowhor - October 6, 2008
well
I still think that Garret can be of some help to this club, at least offensively.
182 - October 6, 2008
Oliver and GA
If Oliver doesn’t retire and wants to stay a Halo, they need to resign him to a 1 year contract.
I will agree that GA could be used off the bench, but I really don’t want him playing regularly in the OF or as DH especially if it’s going to cost us a chunk of change.
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
If he's on the roster, he won't be in a bench role.
The team still thinks he’s got it. They’re wrong and he should go. Morales and Rivera in the corner outfield spots with Vlad DHing is the way to go.
snowhor - October 6, 2008
players like ga are the reason this team keeps failing. a slow footed singles hitter, who relies on batting average to reach base.
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
If GA isn't on the bench
We have no use for him. I hope he retires so he can go out as an Angel, but he will probably play everyday in a place like Kansas City
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
Tired act. Too predictable. Stupid offensive philosophy.
snowhor - October 6, 2008
WERE YOU watching the Same SERIES that I WAS?????
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
I would make Aybar walk back to the Big A
Howie can carry Aybars luggage. Make Sosh sit on the wing
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
^^^^
This too.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
YES!!!
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
Sux get lucky again ... typical
highlandhalo - October 6, 2008
No fucking way they should have let Aybar hit in that situation.
He truly is the worst hitter in history and we always seemed to have our worst hitters up when we needed a big hit.
BTW, I’m really sick of Scioscia, too
waters96 - October 6, 2008
I can agree with this as well.
If Sosh did anything wrong in that situation is was leaving Wood on the bench.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
Wood
Would have struck out in that situation.
BBFan1 - October 6, 2008
yup
at least aybar makes contact. i was hoping wood would come out for rivera instead of kendry, but oh well. can’t complain about the double.
182 - October 6, 2008
And then Figgins could have batted.
Better than Aybar.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
GO RAYS
Joe Maddon thats the genius
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
Maddon might have suicided too
Not on Sosh, Aybar.
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
varitek dropped the ball.
umps blew it.. plain and simple
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
too bad I can't see that
I would love a replay. I don’t have cable.
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
Blown call, but a bad bunt anyway
highlandhalo - October 6, 2008
wrong
tagged him out then fell to the ground Willits OUT bad call by Scioscia. Terrible effort by EAybar on the squeeze
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
SOSH NEEDS TO WAKE UP ITS 2008!!! THE SQUEEZE is for the KC ROYALS in JUNE !!
Not when our life is at stake!!!!!
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
+1
Go Rays.
P.S. GA needs to go, Soth does not have the balls to sit him when it’s needed.
elricsi - October 6, 2008
ehh
he would be better than willits off the bench
but that man has no business playing LF over rivera
182 - October 6, 2008
Another POS thing. Lowrie is a better hitter than Varitek and a base was open.
Yet that pitch was right down the middle
MH252525 - October 6, 2008
thanks for the memories tex
for the best 3 months of hitting we have seen in a while
182 - October 6, 2008
Bite your tongue.
We need to pay this man whatever he wants. He’s the best ballplayer I’ve seen in a LONG time.
ViolaHalo - October 6, 2008
i totally agree
but remember these are the people who gave torii (as good as he is) and GMJ both 5-year contracts.
we’ll probably end up resigning garland and k-rod.
(i hope to god that i am wrong, of course)
182 - October 6, 2008
we're not re-signing k rod
wizzdiddly - October 6, 2008
Yes and how about the momentary season saving play! WOW! At least he only helped us
But hey it just goes to show, one or two black holes on the team is all it takes to drag us down and give it away,. . . THe score should have been 2-1, if that!
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
Infield playing in,,,,,,,,new pitcher ,,,,,,,,,,hasn't thrown a strike,,,,,,,,,,BoSox don't care if they walk him (sets up double play)
and Scioscia fucking squeezes.
DOGSHIT
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
yea if he couldn't tell from those first 2 pitches that they were pitching only to prevent the squeeze
Then Soth should be fired
MH252525 - October 6, 2008
give credit to the Sox
they didn’t make mistakes and they cashed in numerous chances.
that’s more than we can say about our squad.
gdog009 - October 6, 2008
They made Mistakes!!! Look at masterson throwing the fastball!! DONT BE SUCKING ANY ASS.
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
You sound like the Fuckin Announcers!
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
I'm not saying they werer perfect...
but they did more to win it than we did, and less to lose it than we did as well.
that’s just the truth.
I still can’t stand them because in my heart of hearts I believe this Angel team is just as good/capable as Boston but the fact of the matter is they didn’t show it.
plain and simple.
I’m not saying JD Drew has Mickey Mantle Power here or anything (go ahead and look at my previous posts, I’m all over The Boston Suckup station as much as the rest…)
gdog009 - October 6, 2008
ok... I misread it...
I didn’t MEAN to say they were perfect… haha.
what I ORIGINALLY meant to write was, they didn’t make AS MANY mistakes (particularly as many CRITICAL ones..)
my bad.
gdog009 - October 6, 2008
and what killed us also ... THROWING A FASTBALL TO BAY OUTER HALF ... not smart
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
at least willits got his uniform dirty
hustle. grit. baseball.
182 - October 6, 2008
scioscia 1-10 in his last 11 playoff games.
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
I give Boston no credit
Huge help from umps, crappy fielding by Angels, and crappy managing by Scioscia. The series should have been a sweep by Angels.
waters96 - October 6, 2008
varitek dropped the ball
THIS ISNT FOOTBALL YOU F*CKS
equivelant of the catcher falling from a runner running into him, hustle forced the fall, and the ball fell out, THE GUY HAS IT IN A FUCKING GLOVE.
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
see you next spring
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
ripken knows what im talking about
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
amazing
how one giant hole in the batting order and in the field (kendrick) can lose a series almost single-handedly
182 - October 6, 2008
wonder how arte feels about his big moeny market team, ending their season with a blown squeeze, and a minor league regular running around in right field
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 6, 2008
HaaaaHAAAA!
Big Bad , "VLAD"! - October 6, 2008
Hopefully the Angels finally wake up and realize they need to change their philosophy on how to win in the post season
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
blown squeeze is only a micocausim of how the Angels could not hit with..
runners in scoring position.
Angels beat themselves with the errors (middle infield was horrific) and failure to drive in runs.
Dono Romantico - October 6, 2008
howie is a little bitch
UCIHalo - October 6, 2008
umpires
ANewFoundThrice - October 6, 2008
Aybar's missed bunt on a squeeze play (Following Sosh's Call)
stands out the most and really hurts, but in reality, it is a prime example of just how terrible the Halos were with runners in scoring position this Entire Series !
Defensive Mistakes cost the Halos as well.
Angels Beat Themselves this series. Plain and Simple.
Dono Romantico - October 6, 2008
This guy?
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
That's our midget OF
stolenbases - October 6, 2008
funny pic
even though reggie was involved on all three of the last major plays. there was nothing he could have done about any of them.
UCIHalo - October 6, 2008
Funny
hauldog - October 6, 2008
What?
Completely disagree. He could have outrun Varitek in a footrace to third without looking back, he could have just fielded the Bay bloop on a hop, and he could have at least given himself to throw the runner out by playing closer and not bobbling the ball.
182 - October 6, 2008
no way
a runner caught in a rundown is dead 9 times out of 10. sure, he could have commited back to third a second sooner. but come on. its a rundown, advantage is always to the defense
your second point i may give you. But i would rather have him dive and make that catch. it was too close to take.
nobody could have thrown out bay. period.
UCIHalo - October 6, 2008
First rule in the outfield is
You don’t dive to the line
Reason
Nobody to back you up.
If that ball doesn’t go into the stands the game might have been over right then
Angel Aviator - October 6, 2008
he was still playing a bit too deep
I still think he could have at least made it close if he knew the limits of his throwing arm and had played shallower (although I will give him that there were 2 outs, so he could have played a bit deeper, but still). The bobble didn’t really help him either, seeing that Bay isn’t a real burner.
Whatever. The rundown isn’t really his fault, although he would have made it if he didn’t look back. I guess hindsight is 20/20.
182 - October 6, 2008
That was a close play
Without the bobble he had him. It was a good throw
Dodger Hater - October 6, 2008
ouch
dirty1 - October 6, 2008
Kendry Morales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
