Go Halos...
I am rooting for you, thick or thin, win or lose. Always an Angels fan.
Downing Rules - October 1, 2008
I love the Angels.
Higz - October 1, 2008
I hope Mrs. HighlandHalo’s red knickers work out for the best.
TheTypingFiend - October 1, 2008
I dont want to ask for too much here, but a 15 run crushing of the Red Sox would be pleasent
autry's cowboys - October 1, 2008
just wanna say
living in the middle of yank and met fans, EVERYBODY is wishing me luck. so, come on Angels…I’ve loved you guys for ever now GO BEAT THE SOX OFF THESE GUYS!!!
adirondackangelfan - October 1, 2008
Robb Quinlan pinch hits for Figgy, pops out to center field.
Simultaneously Becketts oblique explodes, Pedroia and Youkilis crash into each other on the 55 freeway driving to the game.
Quinlan for series MVP?
teopeht - October 1, 2008
Completely unnecessary dude....
it would be, “Quinlan for series Panther”
autry's cowboys - October 1, 2008
and by 55 I mean 57 or 22 or 5.
I lower my head in shame for making that mistake.
teopeht - October 1, 2008
They'll likely be taking th 55
From a Newport Area hotel.
TheTypingFiend - October 1, 2008
There ya go. I was thinking about them staying at that hotel where they signed Torii at.
Savi Ranch how I love you and your shopping.
teopeht - October 1, 2008
The Angels
This is the day we’ve been waiting for since the A’s decided to close up shop halfway through the season and concede to us. The post-season. This is it. This is why we got Teixeira. This is why we got Torii. This is why we celebrate walk off home runs, or balls caught at the wall with spectacular leaping catches. This is why we buy plush monkeys. This is why we deal with rats in our food, and sit through the Shooby Dooby Down To Ruby’s song at every game. This is why we turn up “Calling All Angels” if it comes on the radio. This is why we hate defeat, and love victory. This is why we take one game at a time. This is why we smile when we drive down the 57 and the halo is lit.
100 wins? That means nothing right now. What matters is who wins the last game of the season.
Instead of trash-talking the other team, I’d rather let the Angels do the talking.
This is the only division series that matters.
RubixsQube - October 1, 2008
Highly rec'd!

A Quote before I leave for the stadium
“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.”
- Anatole France
BELIEVE!!!!!
swiss mcgee - October 1, 2008
Putting on my red and getting ready to leave for the game
and nervous out of my mind.
Go Halos!
UCIHalo - October 1, 2008
We have the best pitchers. Our hitters are healthy. We have Teixeira.
Let’s forget about 2007. Let’s also forget about 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
NOW IS THE TIME: Let’s kick thos Sox back to Boston for an early October exit.
infant - October 1, 2008
I might have an extra ticket for tonights game
Anyone interested ? Don’t need money or anything for it – my son might not be able to join me and I’d be happy to give it to somebody else.
infant - October 1, 2008
Man.
If only I was back home~
scottnak - October 1, 2008
Oh man
I’m stuck at home watching my brothers on Back-to-School Night.
If only I had been a single child!
TheTypingFiend - October 1, 2008
awesome generosity and would usually be all over it...
but, well, see my post below!
autry's cowboys - October 1, 2008
Man only if it didnt take 4 hours to drive from the San Fernando Valley.
I love to go but spending more time on the freeway then at the game stops me from driving anymore.
SFV88 - October 1, 2008
Tonight
Tonight I will have the good fortune of being able to watch the game with my Dad and my 1 1/2 year old son. When I was growing up, there were not that many opportunities to do this. Quite frankly, who knows how many more opportunities there will be? Lookin forward to an ANGELS VICTORY with three generations!
autry's cowboys - October 1, 2008
Anyone know the announcers for the TV games?
Is it the same all games for the halos?
SFV88 - October 1, 2008
TBS has their #1 Announce team
Though I don’t know who that is, they should be on all the games.
wildwill - October 1, 2008
I've been away from home for 7 years
I watch the Angels games with mixed feelings. Seeing the stadium reminds me of home and I feel good, but then I remember I’m not there…and I could be. Today the feelings are even stronger in both directions. I feel fantastic that my team is about to start another road to a championship, but I feel even further away from home.
GO ANGELS!
WiHaloFan - October 1, 2008

I Can't Wait
I can’t wait for the game to start. It feels like I’ve been waiting two months….oh, wait. I have.
I can’t wait to hear what Steve Phillips says over the next couple of days.
I can’t wait to see what the LA sportswriters say after the truth comes out.
I can’t wait to see the look on the chowds’ faces on Sunday.
I can’t wait to see my roomates cheering for our boys, now that the Twins have lost and they have become Halo fans out of respect for the way we play the game.
I can’t wait to be ignored by ESPN and other major news outlets until they realize they have to talk about us.
I can’t wait to sport Angel gear on a daily basis for the remainder of the playoffs.
I can’t wait for my HH t-shirt to arrive in the mail.
I can’t wait!!! AHH!!! GO HALOS!!!
NoDakHalo - October 1, 2008
Keys to the game:
Power chugs: The more full cans of beer you chug during the commercial break before the bottom of the side, the more offensive power the Angels get.
Defensive Curls: Build a shrine of Angels memorabilia, and get some free weights. Before we take the mound each time, do as many curls as you can while facing the shrine, and yelling out the name of the pitcher.
Rocks: After a good play of any sort, give everbody in the room rocks(knocking fists). Dont miss anybody.
Rally Attendance: If we are doing well, and someone comes over or enters the room, and subsequently the Angels start to slip in anyway, that person must leave the room/house for the duration of that game…possibly the entire series.
Mayheminthehood - October 1, 2008
Don't forget about our luminous defensive resistance power though, bro
highlandhalo - October 1, 2008
There are going to be 5 of us
out here in philly watching the game together tonight! Work is going to suck tomorrow, but I dont care because we are going to publicly humiliate the Red Sux!
10pm start baby! we are all pumped!
kingfish - October 1, 2008
Some might question my parenting skills for teaching my kid how to say fuck the sox.
What can I say, I’ve always gone commando on the feet.
Now score some runs so Quigley can get in the game!
Quinlan's Goofy Swing - October 1, 2008
Off to the game
GO HALOS!!!

The Fall Ritual
After so many years of using October as a kick off to the hot stove season, I feel so
blessed to once again be partaking in the yearly ritual of Angel Playoff Baseball. IT
NEVER GETS OLD.
Jangel7 - October 1, 2008
I'd like to say to my Halos Heaven brothers and sisters: this season has been rad, and finding this online community was truly a gift. I've made plenty of friends from it, and we have had the pleasure of sharing something we all can agree on, no matter wh
That being said, tonight is the beginning of the war…the real battle. The last march into territory of the gods. Let us all stand by each other, remember why we’re here and be brave. Let us not ever give up, no matter if we’re down by 1 or 10 runs…no outs or 2 outs. Positive vibes make their way towards the stadium and can lift these heroes of ours into the stratosphere. Let’s hunker down and be prepared for some nervous moments, because you can’t have the sour without the sweet. Let’s root for our team and each other. I love you guys and I will fight along side you and this team till the day I die. Once more into the breach, my friends. Tonight is the first night of the rest of our lives.
GO ANGELS
Mayheminthehood - October 1, 2008
Very Churchill like
I say props to this post. And the positive vibes can go all the way from London to Anaheim.
GO HALOS
highlandhalo - October 1, 2008
I was wondering about something
With Beckett hurting, if the Angels had elected to go with the shorter series, would that have been better? That is if the series even lasts more than 3 games.
WiHaloFan - October 1, 2008
I want to apologize to the taxpayers ahead of time...
for i will be dragging serious ass at work tomorrow…GO HALOS!!!!
BeerMadeMeFat - October 1, 2008

blues911 - October 1, 2008
lol
highlandhalo - October 1, 2008
I just realized, like a dumbass, that I finally won't have to watch this on MLB.com
Awesome! I’ve seen like five games all year on TV, and if I saw a stoned Victor Martinez on my computer one more time I was seriously considering changing my position on the Drug War….
mattwelch - October 1, 2008
Rob Neyer hates MLB.TV
He listens to delayed internet radio feeds or if that fails he trys to find a knothole at the back of the stadium.
MH252525 - October 1, 2008
THE GAME PLAN: Plain & Quite Simple:
It is still a game. You are here while the majority of the league is watching. RELAX, PLAY YOUR GAME & HAVE SOME FUN & THE HALOS WILL WIN ! ! !
HALOS IN AN YAWNER: HALOS SWEEP THE SOX !

Who's Playing?
Did the Sparks make it?
wildwill - October 1, 2008
Go Angels!
Check out the Hot Corner on MLB.com, BTW. Right now they’ve got live cams of batting practice at the Big A.
LittleCupcakes - October 1, 2008
That Hot Corner
Thing is interesting. You cannot watch a game like that if it’s your only video source because once the ball is hit you have no idea where it goes.
wildwill - October 1, 2008
How has the thread gone this long without...
anyone repeating our 2008 motto?
We don’t take no mess!
Onward to victory.
JAP - October 1, 2008
Let's get pumped up
vlad IS my man - October 1, 2008
PUMPED
highlandhalo - October 1, 2008
SOOOOOOOO Pumped
I’ve been watching the other games all day, and I’m so pumped to watch our beloved Halos slaughter the hated Booooo-Sox. If freaking James Loney can go yard and hit a bit tater, then Vladdy should hit TWO!
We are
THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL
time to show it baby!
wildwill - October 1, 2008
I feel strangely calm
Despite my hatred of the Boston Red Sox, their players, their fans and especially their bandwagon fans, somehow I feel another Red October coming up.
Let’s be cool, calm, collective … and I’ll eat a moth if we lose this series.
GO HALOS!
highlandhalo - October 1, 2008
I'll put my faith in you then
Cuz I’m nervous as hell.
teopeht - October 1, 2008

Stuck out of town (Orlando)
And now, my fellow friends, I ask that we brace ourselves. Long has past sicne hte days when we were mere palyoff neophytes and everything was so cute and adorable and we were just so happy to be here. This team has flags. This team has pennants. This team has rings. This team is THE ass-kicker in all of baseball, and the pipeline into the future appears full.
We are their fans. We are pros at this. Now is not the time to commit suicide because of a simple error. The team shall overcome. Nor is the time to proclaim ultimate victory with every base hit. The team is merely getting started.
But now IS the time – THIS is the time – to rage in delirious fury in constant support of this new campaign: to win 11 more games. We are the adrenaline. We are the lifeblood. We are the sharpened eyes, the extra hustle, the dive, the slide, the lunge, the miracle effort. This is OUR job. This is OUR role. We have been here before. We know what to do.
Yield not one inch, not even to thine own angst.
Now let’s get out there in the stands, and on the highways, and in the bars and living rooms and garages throughout the planet, AND KICK SOME FUCKING ASS!!!!
Stirrups - October 1, 2008
