The Chronicler has a great, extensive analysis of how our minor leaguers are doing one month into their seasons. Hopefully better than Mr. Chron's Halosphere Fantasy Baseball team.

Nathan Haynes
I always wonder why he never appears on a watch list nor does Terry Evans.
This was hidden at the end of the K-ROD article on the Angels' site:
"The Angels are carrying four outfielders and Robb Quinlan, who has made a start in left. Versatile Erick Aybar can play the outfield in an emergency. Tommy Murphy is a candidate to return from Triple-A Salt Lake, where another outfielder, Nathan Haynes, has been on fire with a .387 April average and .613 slugging percentage."
Age is the reason I don't have Haynes on; he's already 27 and has been around for years and years (remember, we first acquired him with Jeff DaVanon in the Randy Velarde trade). There are always late bloomers, but despite his torrid start this year, he wasn't particularly good last year, either.
Terry Evans ... mea culpa on that one. He's basically Nick Gorneault with defense, so I shoulda mentioned him. However, be aware of his age, too; he's a bit old for his league, having repeated AA. And 306/348/518 in the PCL is not very good, and his 6:28 BB:SO ratio is a huge alarm.
