On April 3, 2002, I called my shot in Vegas and put $20 down on the Angels to win the Series. Without a doubt, the greatest wager of my life.
There are 161 games left, so NOW is the time to CALL YOUR SHOT. I'm not talking about obvious stuff like Vlad's going to hit 30 HRs blah blah blah. I'm talking about going out on a limb and PREDICTING THE FUTURE, using whatever powers you may have.
Here's my shot:
Chone Figgins will be traded by July 1.
What's yours?

Brittle Colon will start less than 10 games for the Halos this year.pedro guerrero - April 3, 2007
Along those lines...
Not the Angels, but I was saying the same thing about Harden this year. Out for the season by the All-Star break.101halo - April 3, 2007
Brandon Wood
Will get enough ABs to strike out 50 times with the Angels.iLoveLamp - April 3, 2007

s h o t s
The Angels will have their best April record in recent memory. The Halos have more All-Stars than usual: Kendrick, Anderson, Vlad, Lackey and Frankie.
Barry Bonds will not break Aaron's record.
Mathis's AAA performance will make Jose Molina expendable by July.
Hillenbrand will be a pleasant surprise, but will still be displaced by Kendry in July or August.
Kelvim finishes the season with more wins than Lackey.
squarefootnatlpark - April 3, 2007
I'm going with...
Garret Anderson = All StarAnd I have 100 bucks on the Angels this year. 13 to 1 odds was just too tempting.
Wytelitning - April 3, 2007
word...
Stoney will, once again, not do ANYTHING at the trade deadline, despite 25 rumors involving A-rod, Carl Crawford, Manny, and the ghost of Babe Ruth.GMJ will provide more Angel's highlights on Sportcenter, than any other Angel.
Lackey will win 17 games, and bang 4 Halo Chicks under Big Thunder Mountain... at the same time!
Garrett Anderson will put up career numbers, despite looking incredibly bored doing it.
HK-47 will prove he is the future of this team by hitting large, and providing amazing defense.

Trades
I'm going to go out on a limb without really going out on a limb. In other words, I'm going to predict something vague (i.e., there is an essentially limitless number of ways that my prediction could come true), yet nonetheless unlikely.Bill Stoneman will consummate at least two trades during the season. I won't say who gets traded, or what other teams will be involved. I'm just saying there will be at least two different transactions. Lots of ways it could happen, but if it happens at all it will be newsworthy.

OPD
Matthews/Carrasco/1I am going to continue picking Matthews for Offense until he fails me. So far he is 2-for-2 for being the first Angel to reach second base. Yes, I count exhibition games if I go to them!

Big stretch, but could happen:
I will become an enormous Casey Kotchman fan.goodvibe61 - April 3, 2007
There will be at least
one brawl this year between the A's and the Halos after Bobby Crosby's fragile ass gets beaned by Speier and knocks him out for the season.Bonus: Speier earns mad respect by clocking Kendall, who is the first one out of the dugout, before Big John even gets a chance.
agermer - April 3, 2007
I hate to say it, but.....
Mike Napoli will not be our starting catcher at the end of the year. He looks completely overmatched at the plate. Please prove me wrong Naps.Howie the Halo - April 4, 2007
Casey Kotchman
All-Star, and finishes in the Top 5 for MVP voting. He's soon to be recognized as the Angels 2nd most potent offensive force and will rock the AL for the next decade at least..
rbrianc - April 4, 2007
Brandon Wood
Will slug .670 in 2 months of AAA, be called up to play 3B for the rest of the year, and hit .250 with 15 homers in about 300 at bats in the majors.RallyMonkey5 - April 4, 2007
Trades
Stoneman actually trades someone....The line up continues to do well (Hill does just enough to stay viable) and Figgy becomes the odd man out when he returns from injury - then is traded.
gorams77 - April 4, 2007
Kotchman
Kotchman will hit exactly 18 HROn the non-Angel front, each member of the dodger starting staff (Lowe/Schmidt/Penny/Wolf/Tomko) will spend time on the DL.
Shiq - April 4, 2007
I predict...
Jose Molina will hit 74 homerunsAngel Hawker - April 4, 2007

I would say 64 is more within his reach.MistaRaggy @ Halos Heaven - April 4, 2007
